The ecotone between alpi.e steppe and meadow i. the central Ti.etan Plateau i. sensi.i.e to cli.ate changes. Here we used the pollen records from three lakes i. thi. regi.n to reconstruct the evoluti.n of local vegetati.n and cli.ate si.ce 8200 cal. yr BP. The hi.tory of temperature and preci.i.ati.n was reconstructed quanti.ati.ely wi.h multi.bi.cli.ati. i.dexes and a transfer functi.n from pollen records. Results show that the steppe/meadow domi.ated duri.g the peri.d of 8200―6500 cal. yr BP, especi.lly 8200―7200 cal. yr BP, i.di.ati.g the central Ti.etan Plateau was controlled by strong monsoon. The steppe domi.ated duri.g the peri.ds of 6000―4900, 4400―3900, and 2800―2400 cal. yr BP. The steppe decreased gradually and the meadow expanded duri.g the peri.d of 4900―4400 cal. yr BP. Three century-scale drought events occurred duri.g 5800―4900, 4400―3900 and 2800 cal. yr BP, respecti.ely. The fi.st ti.e when the regi.nal cli.ate shi.ted to the present level was at 6500 cal. yr BP i. the central Plateau. Si.ce 3000 cal. yr BP, the temperature and preci.i.ati.n have decreased gradually to the present level. However, the cold cli.ate between 700―300 cal. yr BP li.ely corresponds to the Li.tle i.e Age.

上新世(5.33~2.58 Ma)是距今最近的大气CO_(2)浓度超过400 ppmv的暖期,是理解未来气候变化的地质历史相似型.地质记录显示,上新世气候主要响应地球倾角和岁差变化,比如深海氧同位素和高纬陆相记录表现出强的倾角周期(41 ka),低纬和地中海地区的粉尘和花粉记录以岁差周期(21 ka)为主.然而,这些气候周期空间差异的机制尚不清楚.我们使用全球海气耦合模式HadCM3,开展了轨道参数极值实验.结果表明:(1)倾角变化主要对高纬温度影响显著(>5℃),很好地解释了高纬记录和受高纬冰量调节的深海氧同位素记录的41 ka周期;(2)岁差变化主要影响低纬降水(>2 mm d-1),很好地解释了低纬和地中海地区与季风活动相关的21 ka气候周期.

Envi.onment chemi.al polluti.n can be persi.tent, and even vi.tually i.removable. For some chemi.als i. the workplace envi.onment reli.bly safe low exposure levels are techni.ally unattai.able or presumably nonexi.tent. As a supplement to decreasi.g harmful exposures to as low levels as possi.le, the “bi.logi.al prophylaxi.” ai.s at enhanci.g host’s protecti.e mechani.ms. Duri.g over 30 years i. ani.al experi.ents modeli.g i.olated or combi.ed chroni. or subchroni. exposures to si.i.a, asbestos, monazi.e, lead, chromi.m, arseni., manganese, ni.kel, vanadi.m, nanosi.ver, nanocopper, formaldehyde, phenol, naphthalene, benzo(a)pyrene we tested so-called “bi.prophylati. complexes” (BPCs) compri.i.g i.nocuous substances wi.h theoreti.ally expected benefi.i.l i.fluence on the toxi.oki.eti.s and/or toxi.odynami.s of those toxi.s. The BPCs proved protecti.ely effecti.e i. ani.al experi.ents were then subjected to controlled fi.ld tri.ls on restri.ted groups of volunteers. Once the effecti.eness and safety of a BPC was establi.hed, i. was recommended for practi.al use, fi.st of all, i. the most vulnerable populati.n groups (chi.dren, pregnant women) and i. the most harmful occupati.ns. At each stage of thi. work the effecti.eness of the bi.prophylacti. approach to chemi.al ri.ks management was successfully demonstrated. The BPCs tested up to now proved capable of mi.i.ati.g systemi. toxi.i.y, cytotoxi.i.y, fi.rogeni.i.y, and mutageni.i.y of the above-li.ted chemi.als.
