Binary polyantimony clusters,namely[Cu_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4–) and [Ag_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4–),containing coinage metals,were successfully synthesized and characterized,in which two homoatomic Sb73–subunits are bridged by two coinage metals in η^(4):η^(1) and η^(1):η^(1) coordination modes,***[m_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4-),two bridging Cu ions and two Sb atoms form a planar rhombic unit,which was revealed to have antiaromatic properties by theoretical *** electron structure and bonding analysis confirmed the presence of delocalized bonds in the rhombic unit and the metallophilic interaction between two formal m^(+) ions.

Understanding the structural changes and degradation mechanisms of organic pollutants is critical in environmental *** this work, a xenon lamp was used as an analog light source to simulate the eff ect of sunlight on 3,3′-diamino-4,4′-azoxyfurazan (DAAF) in aqueous solution. Combining high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC–mS/mS), surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) with density functional theory (DFT), the degradation intermediates and mechanisms of DAAF were investigated. The sequential breakdown of the–NH 2and–O–N=bonds, followed by the removal of atomic O from–N=N(O)–, was emphasized and investigated using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS) and SERS spectra. Three intermediates with mass-to-charge ratios (m/z) 181, 251 and180 were identifi ed and characterized by integrating experimental SERS data with DFT-calculated Raman spectra based on structures hypothesized from mS spectra. The fi ndings from HPLC–mS and SERS not only corroborate each other but also provide a foundation for a detailed examination of the DAAF degradation process.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of chilling rate on porcine meat quality from the perspective of proteome using data independent acquisition(DIA)-based quantitative proteomic strategy. m. longissimus thoracis et lumborum(n = 9) was assigned randomly to the control group(3.72 ℃/h), very fast chilling-Ⅰ group(VFC-Ⅰ, 9.31℃/h) and VFC-Ⅱ group(14.43 ℃/h). The DIA was used to analyze the difference in proteins under different chilling rates. Results showed that tenderness was improved significantly in meat at the chilling rate of 14.43 ℃/h. Seventy-nine differential abundant proteins(fold change > 1.5, P mainly involved in carbon metabolism, pyruvate metabolism and proteasome pathways. These pathways indicated that VFC delayed cell metabolism and glycolysis by down-regulating the expression of metabolic enzymes. The tenderness was improved by up-regulating the expression of proteasome and m-calpain.

Using biopolymers as wall materials in spray drying poses challenges,particularly in attaining flowability and thermal stability among their physicochemical *** paper addresses these challenges by preparing microparticles using a blend of starch–chitosan and a poloxamer,commercially named Pluronic®*** aimed to elucidate the effects of varying poloxamer concentrations on the resulting particles through the spray drying *** with a poloxamer concentration of 3%(w/v)demonstrated a notably higher yield,especially when compared to those with 0%and 1%*** with 3%and 5%(w/v)poloxamer displayed a narrower particle size distribution,with the 3%blend showing a superior yield attributed to arrangements of blend components that improve flowability.X-ray diffraction analysis showcased the characteristic peaks of A-type starch form,with shifts suggesting enhanced interactions between *** with increased poloxamer content showed elevated thermal degradation temperatures,with the 3%blend registering a significant rise,opening avenues for encapsulating heat-sensitive *** study primarily focuses on the preparation and basic characterization of *** underscores the potential of blends with optimal poloxamer concentrations in microencapsulation,emphasizing further research to harness their capabilities thoroughly.

This study aimed to develop a pan-genotypic and multifunctional small interfering RNA(siRNA)against hepatitis B virus(HBV)with an efficient delivery system for treating chronic hepatitis B(CHB),and explore combined RNA interference(RNAi)and immune modulatory modalities for better viral *** synthetic siRNAs targeting consensus motifs distributed across the whole HBV genome were designed and *** lipid nanoparticle(LNP)formulation was optimized by adopting HO-PEG_(2000)-DmG lipid and modifying the molar ratio of traditional polyethylene glycol(PEG)lipid in LNP *** efficacy and safety of this formulation in delivering siHBV(tLNP/siHBV)along with the mouse IL-2(mIL-2)mRNA(tLNP/siHBVIL2)were evaluated in the rAAVHBV1.3 mouse model.A siRNA combination(terms“siHBV”)with a genotypic coverage of 98.55%was selected,chemically modified,and encapsulated within an optimized LNP(tLNP)of high efficacy and security to fabricate a therapeutic formulation for *** results revealed that tLNP/siHBV significantly reduced the expression of viral antigens and DNA(up to 3log_(10)reduction;vs PBS)in dose-and time-dependent manners at single-dose or multi-dose frequencies,with satisfactory safety *** studies showed that tLNP/siHBVIL2 enables additive antigenic and immune control of the virus,via introducing potent HBsAg clearance through RNAi and triggering strong HBV-specific CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)T cell responses by expressed mIL-2 *** adopting tLNP as nucleic acid nanocarriers,the co-delivery of siHBV and mIL-2 mRNA enables synergistic antigenic and immune control of HBV,thus offering a promising translational therapeutic strategy for treating CHB.

Ferritic/martensitic(F/m)steel is widely used as a structural material in thermal and nuclear power ***,it is susceptible to intergranular damage,which is a critical issue,under service *** this study,to improve the resistance to intergranular damage of F/m steel,a thermomechanical process(TmP)was employed to achieve a grain boundary engineering(GBE)microstructure in F/m steel *** TmP,including cold-rolling thickness reduction of 6%,9%,and 12%,followed by austenitization at 1323 K for 40 min and tempering at 1053 K for 45 min,was applied to the as-received(AR)P92 *** prior austenite grain(PAG)size,prior austenite grain boundary character distribution(GBCD),and connectivity of prior austenite grain boundaries(PAGBs)were *** to the AR specimen,the PAG size did not change *** fraction of coincident site lattice boundaries(CSLBs,3≤Σ≤29)and Σ3^(n) boundaries along PAGBs decreased with increasing reduction ratio because the recrystallization fraction increased with increasing reduction *** PAGB connectivity of the 6%deformed specimen slightly deteriorated compared with that of the AR ***,potentiodynamic polarization studies revealed that the intergranular damage resistance of the studied steel could be improved by increasing the fraction of CSLBs along the PAGBs,indicating that the TmP,which involves low deformation,could enhance the intergranular damage resistance.

We report here the synthesis and characterization of two new members of the m2 E 12 family of endohe-dral Zintl clusters,[Fe_(2)Sn_(4)Bi_(8)]^(3-)and[Cr_(2)Sb_(12)]^(3-),both of which contain open-shell metal dimers encap-sulated inside a triple-decker cluster of main-group *** 75-electron[Fe_(2)Sn_(4)Bi_(8)]^(3-)cluster has a D4h-symmetric structure,while[Cr_(2)Sb_(12)]^(3-),despite having the same 75-electron count,is strongly dis-torted to a geometry that resembles a CrSb_(8)crown capped by a CrSb_(4)*** structural differences between the two are driven by the increasing availability of 3d electron density in the earlier transi-tion metal,which leads,ultimately,to different electronic configurations in the two *** trends precisely mirror those observed in the mE_(10)and mE_(12)families containing a single transition metal ion.
