Sequence-activated chemiluminescence(Cl) technique offers a unique approach to detecting specific biomolecules or cellular events with high sensitivity and spatial resolution. the fundamental principle behind sequence-activated Cl probes involves tailoring highly-controllable Cl signals in response to specific sequences or events of interest, thus enabling high-contrast signals under complex physiological conditions. this sequential activation could be triggered by enzymes, reactive oxygen species(ROS), biothiols or changes in the microenvironment. these unique sequence-activated Cl probes bestow several advantages, including minimal background, deep-tissue penetration, and the ability of non-invasive or minimally invasive detection. the sequence-activated Cl techniques represent a significant advancement in molecular imaging and diagnostics. In this mini-review, we focus on the latest developments in sequential Cl probes, addressing the technical challenges and discussing the future trajectory by harnessing Cl signaling and molecular recognition.

Memory deficit,which is often associated with aging and many psychiatric,neurological,and neurodegenerative diseases,has been a challenging issue for *** till now,all potential drug candidates have failed to produce satisfa ctory ***,in the search for a solution,we found that a treatment with the gene corresponding to the RGS14414protein in visual area V2,a brain area connected with brain circuits of the ventral stream and the medial temporal lobe,which is crucial for object recognition memory(ORM),can induce enhancement of *** this study,we demonstrated that the same treatment with RGS14414in visual area V2,which is relatively unaffected in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer s disease,produced longlasting enhancement of ORM in young animals and prevent ORM deficits in rodent models of aging and Alzheimer’s ***,we found that the prevention of memory deficits was mediated through the upregulation of neuronal arbo rization and spine density,as well as an increase in brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNf).A knockdown of BDNf gene in RGS14414-treated aging rats and Alzheimer s disease model mice caused complete loss in the upregulation of neuronal structural plasticity and in the prevention of ORM *** findings suggest that BDNf-mediated neuronal structural plasticity in area V2 is crucial in the prevention of memory deficits in RGS14414-treated rodent models of aging and Alzheimer’s ***,our findings of RGS14414gene-mediated activation of neuronal circuits in visual area V2 have therapeutic relevance in the treatment of memory deficits.

Neuronal growth, extension, branching, and formation of neural networks are markedly influenced by the extracellular matrix—a complex network composed of proteins and carbohydrates secreted by cells. In addition to providing physical support for cells, the extracellular matrix also conveys critical mechanical stiffness cues. During the development of the nervous system, extracellular matrix stiffness plays a central role in guiding neuronal growth, particularly in the context of axonal extension, which is crucial for the formation of neural networks. In neural tissue engineering, manipulation of biomaterial stiffness is a promising strategy to provide a permissive environment for the repair and regeneration of injured nervous tissue. Recent research has fine-tuned synthetic biomaterials to fabricate scaffolds that closely replicate the stiffness profiles observed in the nervous system. In this review, we highlight the molecular mechanisms by which extracellular matrix stiffness regulates axonal growth and regeneration. We highlight the progress made in the development of stiffness-tunable biomaterials to emulate in vivo extracellular matrix environments, with an emphasis on their application in neural repair and regeneration, along with a discussion of the current limitations and future prospects. the exploration and optimization of the stiffness-tunable biomaterials has the potential to markedly advance the development of neural tissue engineering.

In this paper， the effect of a single-opening split-ring resonator （SRR） structure on the performance of ultra-wideband （UWB） microstrip patch antenna （MPA） is studied. Here a UWB MPA based on partial grounding is proposed， and the SRR structure is utilized to optimize other characteristics of the low-profile microstrip antenna while ensuring the bandwidth and gain remain unchanged. the proposed metamaterial structure， consisting of a 2 × 2 array of SRR， is loaded on the reverse side of the substrate. the volume of the proposed antenna is 61.6×67.6×1.5mm3. According to simulation and experimental results， the proposed microstrip antenna loaded with 2×2 SRRs performs better than that without SRR structure. It produces an operating band of 1.62 GHz-8 GHz while achieving circular polarization characteristics with an axial ratio （AR） bandwidth of 3.92 GHz-4.57 GHz. In addition， the performance of the proposed antenna is superior to relevant works of literature the antenna can be widely utilized in wireless communication systems.

the combination of photodynamic therapy（PDt） and chemodynamic therapy（CDt） in tumor treatment has attracted considerable ***,tumor hypoxia and glutathione（GSH） overproduction in the tumor tissue restricted the progress of their ***,a Mn-porphyrinic metal-organic framework（Mn-tCPP） was constructed by the one-pot method and further used for immobilizing glucose oxidase（GOx） to obtain GOx@*** would rapidly exhaust endogenous glucose into hydrogen peroxide（H2O2） and gluconic acid,thus shutting off the energy supply of tumor cells for starvation ***-tCPP catalyzed H2O2to produce oxygen,regulating the hypoxic tumor microenvironment and in turn improving1O2generation under laser ***,Mn-tCPP can reduce reactive oxygen species consumption owing to the redox reaction between Mn3+and GSH,thus greatly enhancing ***,benefiting from GOx-mediated starvation therapy,Mn2+produced by Mn3+reduction can react with sufficient intracellular H2O2to generate ·OH with high cytotoxicity through a fenton-like *** treatment by GOx@Mn-tCPP under laser irradiation in vitro,the cell viability of 4t1 and A549 tumor cells reached to 20%,reflecting GOx@Mn-tCPP could give full play to the advantages of PDt/CDt/starvation *** results in vivo demonstrated that GOx@Mn-tCPP mediated synergistic cascade therapy could significantly inhibit tumor growth and improve the therapeutic effect.

Salsolinol(1-methyl-6,7-dihydroxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline,Sal)is a catechol isoquinoline that causes neurotoxicity and shares structural similarity with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine,an environmental toxin that causes Parkinson's ***,the mechanism by which Sal mediates dopaminergic neuronal death remains *** this study,we found that Sal significantly enhanced the global level of N~6-methyladenosine(m~6A)RNA methylation in PC12 cells,mainly by inducing the downregulation of the expression of m~6A demethylases fat mass and obesity-associated protein(ftO)and alk B homolog 5(AlKBH5).RNA sequencing analysis showed that Sal downregulated the Hippo signaling *** m~6A reader YtH domain-containing family protein 2(YtHDf2)promoted the degradation of m~6A-containing Yes-associated protein 1(YAP1)mRNA,which is a downstream key effector in the Hippo signaling ***,downregulation of YAP1 promoted autophagy,indicating that the mutual regulation between YAP1 and autophagy can lead to *** findings reveal the role of Sal on m~6A RNA methylation and suggest that Sal may act as an RNA methylation inducer mediating dopaminergic neuronal death through YAP1 and *** results provide greater insights into the neurotoxic effects of catechol isoquinolines compared with other studies and may be a reference for assessing the involvement of RNA methylation in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease.

We prove some fixed point theorems in partially ordered sets, providing an extension of the Banach contractive mapping theorem. Having studied previously the nondecreasing case, we consider in this paper nonincreasing mappings as well as non monotone mappings. We also present some applications to first-order ordinary differential equations with periodic boundary conditions, proving the existence of a unique solution admitting the existence of a lower solution.
