We briefly describe the importance of division algebras and Poincaré conjecture in both mathematical and physical scenarios. Mathematically, we argue that using the torsion concept one can combine the formalisms of division algebras and Poincaré conjecture. Physically, we show that both formalisms may be the underlying mathematical tools in special relativity and cosmology. Moreover, we explore the possibility that by using the concept of n-qubit system, such conjecture may allow generalization the Hopf maps.

Background:To study and compare the clinical optical image quality following implantation with different premium IOls by analysing the point spread function(PSF)Strehl ratio using a pyramidal wavefront sensor(PWS)-based ***:This study included 194 eyes implanted with:(a)19 AcrySof SA60AT(control group);(b)19 Miniwell;(c)24 lENTIS Mplus lS-313 MF30;(d)33 lENTIS Mplus lS-313 MF15;(e)17 Akkolens lumina;(f)31 AT lISA Tri 839MP;(g)20 Precizon Presbyopic;(h)20 AcrySof IQ PanOptix;(i)11 Tecnis *** outcome measures were PSF Strehl ratio,PSF Strehl ratio excluding second-order aberrations(PSFw2),total root mean square(RMS),low-order aberration(lOA)and high-order aberration(HOA)RMS measured by PWS ***:AT lISA Tri had the highest PSFw2 Strehl ratio at both 3.0-and 4.0-mm pupil size(0.52±0.14 and 0.31±0.10;Pllowed by SA60AT(0.41±0.11 and 0.28±0.07)and PanOptix(0.4±0.07 and 0.26±0.04).AT lISA Tri was found to provide a significantly better retinal image quality than PanOptix at both 3.0 mm(Plus MF15 was found to be significantly better than Mplus MF30 at both 3.0 mm(Pl RMS,lOA RMS,HOA RMS,PSF Strehl ratio and PSFw2 varied significantly between the studied groups(Plusions:Far distance clinical image quality parameters measured by PWS aberrometer differed significantly according to the technology of the implanted *** lISA Tri,SA60AT and PanOptix showed the highest values of far distance retinal image quality,while the lowest PSFw2 Strehl ratios were displayed by Miniwell,Mplus MF30 and Precizon Presbyopic.

Physicochemical Characteristics of Corriente River, Argentine, Period 1998-2014

Corriente River is part of the middle Parana basin and it is an inland river of the Corrientes Province of Argentine. This paper studies variation in time of some physicochemical parameters (conductivity, alkalinity, hardness, sulfates and chlorides) measured between 1998 and 2014. The correlations of the data correspond to three fixed stations monitoring. The analysis of results takes into account the influence of the seasonal rainfall patterns regimes as determinants in the natural composition of the water resources studied. Moreover composition of the river has been registered as a valid reference to predict probable changes by human activity.

AIM To analyze the association between oncohematological diseases and GSTT1 /GSTM1 /CYP1A1 polymorphisms, dietary habits and smoking, in an argentine hospitalbased case-control *** This hospital-based case-control study involved 125 patients with oncohematological diseases and 310 control subjects. A questionnaire was used to obtain sociodemographic data and information about habits. Blood samples were collected, and DNA was extracted using salting out methods. Deletions in GSTT1 and GSTM1 (null genotypes) were addressed by PCR. CYP1A1 MspI polymorphism was detected by PCR-RFlP. Odds ratio(OR) and 95%CI were calculated to estimate the association between each variable studied and oncohematological *** Women showed lower risk of disease compared to men(OR 0.52, 95%CI: 0.34-0.82, P = 0.003). Higher levels of education(> 12 years) were significantly associated with an increased risk, compared to complete primary school or less(OR 3.68, 95%CI: 1.82-7.40, P logical diseases. Regarding dietary habits, consumption of grilled/barbecued meat 3 or more times per month showed significant association with an increased risk of disease(OR 1.72, 95%CI: 1.08-2.75, P = 0.02). Daily consumption of coffee also was associated with an increased risk(OR 1.77, 95%CI: 1.03-3.03, P = 0.03). Results for GSTT1, GSTM1 and CYP1A1 polymorphisms showed no significant association with oncohematological diseases. When analyzing the interaction between polymorphisms and tobacco smoking or dietary habits, no statistically significant associations that modify disease risk were found. CONClUSION We reported an increased risk of oncohematological diseases associated with meat and coffee intake. We did not find significant associations between genetic polymorphisms and blood cancer.

This procedure brings us the unique opportunity to deepen in the knowledge of PD’s physiopathology by recording patients’ neural activity, and possibly in the future it will let us select the appropriate target and the optimal chronic stimulation pattern.

Geriatric trauma constitutes an increasingly recognized problem. Aging results in a progressive decline in cellular function which leads to a loose of their capacity to respond to injury. Some medications commonly used in this population can mask or blunt the response to injury. Falls constitute the most common cause of trauma and the leading cause of trauma-related deaths in this population. Falls are complicated by the widespread use of antiplatelets and anticoagulants, especially in patients with brain injury. Under-triage is common in this population. Evaluation of frailty could be helpful to solve this issue. Appropriate triaging and early aggressive management with correction of coagulopathy can improve outcome. limitation of care and palliative measures must be considered in cases with a clear likelihood of poor prognosis.

Background: Predictive models shed light on aboveground fungal yield dynamics and can assist decision-making in forestry by integrating this valuable non-wood forest product into forest management planning. However, the currently existing models are based on rather local data and, thus, there is a lack of predictive tools to monitor mushroom yields on larger ***: This work presents the first empirical models for predicting the annual yields of ectomycorrhizal mushrooms and related ecosystem services in Pinus sylvestris and Pinus pinaster stands in northern Spain, using a long-term dataset suitable to account for the combined effect of meteorological conditions and stand *** were fitted for the following groups of fungi separately: all ectomycorrhizal mushrooms, edible mushrooms and marketed mushrooms. Our results show the influence of the weather variables(mainly precipitation) on mushroom yields as well as the relevance of the basal area of the forest stand that follows a right-skewed unimodal curve with maximum predicted yields at stand basal areas of 30–40 m2·***: These models are the first empirical models for predicting the annual yields of ectomycorrhizal mushrooms in Pinus sylvestris and Pinus pinaster stands in northern Spain, being of the highest resolution developed to date and enable predictions of mushrooms productivity by taking into account weather conditions and forests’ location, composition and structure.
