Arboviral diseases are viral infections transmitted to humans through the bites of arthropods,such as mosquitoes,often causing a variety of pathologies associated with high levels of morbidity and *** the past decades,these infections have proven to be a significant challenge to health systems worldwide,particularly following the considerable geographic expansion of the dengue virus(DENV)and its most recent outbreak in Latin America as well as the difficult-tocontrol outbreaks of yellow fever virus(YFV),chikungunya virus(CHIKV),and Zika virus(ZIKV),leaving behind a substantial portion of the population with complications related to these ***,the world is experiencing a period of intense globalization,which,combined with global warming,directly contributes to wider dissemination of arbovirus vectors across the ***,all continents remain on high alert for potential new ***,this review aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the pathogenesis of the four main arboviruses today(DENV,ZIKV,YFV,and CHIKV)discussing their viral characteristics,immune responses,and mechanisms of viral evasion,as well as important clinical aspects for patient *** includes associated symptoms,laboratory tests,treatments,existing or developing vaccines and the main associated complications,thus integrating a broad historical,scientific and clinical approach.

Mandibular advancement devices(MADs)are widely used treatments for obstructive sleep *** function by advancing the lower jaw to open the upper *** increase patient comfort,most patients allow the mouth to be ***,not all systems maintain the lower jaw in a forward position during mouth opening,which results in the production of a retrusion that favors the collapse of the upper ***,the kinematic behavior of the mechanism formed by the mandible-device assembly depends on jaw *** means that,during mouth opening,some devices cause lower jaw protrusion in some patients,but cause its retraction in *** this study,we report the behavior of well-known devices currently on *** do so,we developed a kinematic model of the lower jawdevice *** validated for all devices analyzed using a high-resolution camera *** results show that some of the devices analyzed here did not produce the correct behavior during patient mouth opening.

Animal models have allowed detailed study of hemodynamic alterations typical of portal hypertension and the molecular mechanisms involved in abnormalities in splanchnic and systemic circulation associated with this syndrome. Models of prehepatic portal hypertension can be used to study alterations in the splanchnic circulation and the pathophysiology of the hyperdynamic circulation. Models of cirrhosis allow study of the alterations in intrahepatic microcirculation that lead to increased resistance to portal flow. This review summarizes the currently available literature on animal models of portal hypertension and analyzes their relative utility. The criteria for choosing a particular model, depending on the specific objectives of the study, are also discussed.

The integration of local measurements and monitoring via global-scale Earth observations has become a new challenge in digital Earth *** increasing accessibility and ease of use of virtual globes(VGs)represent primary advantages of this integration,and the digital Earth scientific community has adopted this technology as one of the main methods for disseminating the results of scientific *** this study,the best VG software for the dissemination and analysis of highresolution UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)data is identified for global and continuous geographic scope *** VGs Google Earth and Sputnik Geographic Information System(GIS)are selected and compared for this *** Earth is a free platform and one of the most widely used VGs,and one of its best features its ability to provide users with quality visual *** proprietary software Sputnik GIS more closely approximates the analytical capacity of a traditional GIS and provides outstanding advantages,such as DEM overlapping and visualization for its dissemination.

Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of several clinical conditions characterized by insulin-resistance and high cardiovascular risk. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is the liver expression of the metabolic syndrome, and insulin resistance can be a frequent comorbidity in several chronic liver diseases, in particular hepatitis C virus infection and/or cirrhosis. Several studies have demonstrated that insulin action is not only relevant for glucose control, but also for vascular homeostasis. Insulin regulates nitric oxide production, which mediates to a large degree the vasodilating, antiinflammatory and antithrombotic properties of a healthy endothelium, guaranteeing organ perfusion. The effects of insulin on the liver microvasculature and the effects of IR on sinusoidal endothelial cells have been studied in animal models of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The hypotheses derived from these studies and the potential translation of these results into humans are critically discussed in this review.

Integrated CO_(2)capture and utilization(ICCU)technology requires dual functional materials(DFMs)to carry out the process in a single reaction *** influence of the calcination atmosphere on efficiency of 4%Ru-8%Na_(2)CO_(3)-8%CaO/γ-Al_(2)O_(3)DFM is *** adsorbent precursors are first co-impregnated onto alumina and calcined in ***,Ru precursor is impregnated and four aliquotes are subjected to different calcination protocols:static air in muffle or under different mixtures(10%H_(2)/N_(2),50%H_(2)/N_(2)and N_(2))*** are characterized by XRD,N_(2)adsorption-desorption,H_(2)chemisorption,TEM,XPS,H_(2)-TPD,H_(2)-TPR,CO_(2)-TPD and *** catalytic behavior is evaluated,in cycles of CO_(2)adsorption and hydrogenation to CH_(4),and temporal evolution of reactants and products concentrations is *** calcination atmosphere influences the physicochemical properties and,ultimately,activity of *** data and catalytic performance discover the acccomodation of Ru nanoparticles disposition and basic sites is mostly influencing the catalytic *** calcined under N_(2)flow(RuNaCa-N_(2))shows the highest CH_(4)production(449μmol/g at 370℃),because a well-controlled decomposition of precursors which favors the better accomodation of adsorbent and Ru phases,maximizing the specific surface area,the Ru-basic sites interface and the participation of different basic sites in the CO_(2)methanation ***,the calcination in a N_(2)flow is revealed as the optimal calcination protocol to achieve highly efficient DFM for integrated CO_(2)adsorption and hydrogenation applications.

Liver transplantation(LT)is one of the leading curative therapies for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Despite recent optimization of transplant selection criteria,including alpha-feto protein,HCC recurrence after LT is still the leading cause of death in these *** the last decades,effective systemic treatments for HCC,including tyrosine kinase inhibitors and immunotherapy,have been *** describe the clinical scenario of a patient with recurrence of HCC five years after LT,who received lenvatinib as first-line systemic therapy to introduce systemic treatment options in this clinical *** this opinion review,we detail first and second-line systemic treatment options,focusing on those feasible for patients with recurrent HCC after *** trials have evaluated new drugs to treat HCC patients in first and secondline therapy,but patients with recurrent HCC after LT have been excluded from these ***,most of the evidence comes from observational retrospective *** tyrosine kinase inhibitors will remain the primary therapeutic approach in these patients,due to a relative contraindication for immunotherapy,may be clarified in the near future.
