The impedance matching of absorbers is a vital factor affecting their microwave absorption(MA)*** this work,we controllably synthesized Material of Institute Lavoisier 88c(MIL-88c)with varying aspect ratios(AR)as a precursor by regulating oil bath conditions,followed by one-step thermal decomposition to obtain carbon-coated iron-based *** the precursor MIL-88c(Fe)preparation conditions,such as the molar ratio between metal ions and organic ligands(M/O),oil bath temperature,and oil bath time,influenced the phases,graphitization degree,and AR of the derivatives,enabling low filler loading,achieving well-matched impedance,and ensuring outstanding MA *** MOF-derivatives 2(MD_(2))/polyvinylidene Difluoride(PVDF),MD_(3)/PVDF,and MD4/PVDF absorbers all exhibited excellent MA properties with optimal filler loadings below 20 wt%and as low as 5 wt%.The MD_(2)/PVDF(5 wt%)achieved a maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 5.52 GHz(1.90 mm).The MD_(3)/PVDF(10 wt%)possessed a minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))value of−67.4 at 12.56 GHz(2.13 mm).A symmetric gradient honeycomb structure(SGHS)was constructed utilizing the high-frequency structure simulator(HFSS)to further extend the EAB,achieving an EAB of 14.6 GHz and a RL_(min) of−59.0 *** research offers a viable inspiration to creating structures or materials with high-efficiency MA properties.

The Amazon basin has experienced an extreme drought that started in the austral summer of 2022-23 and extends into 2024. This drought started earlier than other previous droughts. Although some rain fell during the austral summer, totals remained below average. Higher temperatures during austral winter and spring 2023, which affected most of central South America, then aggravated drought conditions. This coincided with an intense El Niño and abnormally warm tropical North Atlantic Ocean temperatures since mid-2023. Decreased rainfall across the Amazon basin, negative anomalies in evapotranspiration (derived from latent heat) and soil moisture indicators, as well as increased temperatures during the dry-to-wet transition season, September-October-November (SON) 2023, combined to delay the onset of the wet season in the hydrological year 2023-24 by nearly two months and caused it to be uncharacteristically weak. SON 2023 registered a precipitation deficit of the order of 50 to 100 mm/month, and temperatures +3˚c higher than usual in Amazonia, leading to reduced evapotranspiration and soil moisture indicators. These processes, in turn, determined an exceptionally late onset and a lengthening of the dry season, affecting the 2023-2024 hydrological year. These changes were aggravated by a heat wave from June to December 2023. Drought-heat compound events and their consequences are the most critical natural threats to society. River levels reached record lows, or dried up completely, affecting Amazonian ecosystems. Increased risk of wildfires is another concern exacerbated by these conditions.

LncRNA IDH1-AS1 sponges miR-518c-5p to suppress proliferation of epithelial ovarian cancer cell by targeting RMB47

Long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)IDH1 antisense RNA 1(IDH1-AS1)is involved in the progression of multiple cancers,but its role in epithelial ovarian cancer(EOc)is ***,we investigated the expression levels of IDH1-AS1 in EOc cells and normal ovarian epithelial cells by quantitative real-time PcR(qPcR).We first evaluated the effects of IDH1-AS1 on the proliferation,migration,and invasion of EOc cells through cell counting kit-8,colony formation,EdU,transwell,wound-healing,and xenograft *** then explored the downstream targets of IDH1-AS1 and verified the results by a dual-luciferase reporter,qPcR,rescue experiments,and Western *** found that the expression levels of IDH1-AS1 were lower in EOc cells than in normal ovarian epithelial *** IDH1-AS1 expression of EOc patients from the Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis database indicated a favorable prognosis,because IDH1-AS1 inhibited cell proliferation and xenograft tumor growth of ***1-AS1 sponged miR-518c-5p whose overexpression promoted EOc cell *** miR-518c-5p mimic also reversed the proliferation-inhibiting effect induced by IDH1-AS1 ***,we found that RNA binding motif protein 47(RBM47)was the downstream target of miR-518c-5p,that upregulation of RBM47 inhibited EOc cell proliferation,and that RBM47 overexpressing plasmid counteracted the proliferation-promoting effect caused by the IDH1-AS1 *** together,IDH1-AS1 may suppress EOc cell proliferation and tumor growth via the miR-518c-5p/RBM47 axis.

LiOH-mediated crystallization regulating strategy enhancing electrochemical performance and structural stability of SiO anodes for lithium-ion batteries

Silicon monoxide(SiO)is widely recognized as a promising anode material for next-generation lithium-ion *** to its metastable amorphous structure,SiO exhibits a highly complex degree of crystallization at the microscopic level,which significantly influences its electrochemical *** a consequence,accurately regulating the crystallization of SiO,and further establishing the relationship between crystallinity and electrochemical performance are very critical for SiO *** this article,carbon-coated SiO materials with different crystallinity degrees were synthesized using lithium hydroxide monohydrate(LiOH·H_(2)O)as a structural modifier to reveal this ***,moderate amount of LiOH·H_(2)O addition results in the forming of an oxygen-rich shell,which effectively inhibits the inward migration of oxygen atoms on the SiO surface and suppresses volume ***,the crystallinity of SiO will gradually enhance and the crystalline phase appears with increasing the amount of LiOH·H_(2)O,which will generate a deteriorative Li+diffusion *** balancing the above two contradictions,a mass fraction of 1%LiOH·H_(2)O for the additive yielded SiO@c-1,characterized by optimal ***@c-1 demonstrates exceptional long-cycle stability with 74.8%capacity retention after 500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1).Furthermore,it achieves a capacity retention of 52.2%even at a high density of 5 A·g^(-1).This study first reveals the relationship between SiO crystallinity and electrochemical performance,which efficiently guides the design of high-performance SiO anodes.

Intravitreal injection of conbercept for diabetic macular edema complicated with diabetic nephropathy

AIM:To observe the therapeutic effect of conbercept on diabetic macular edema(DME)complicated with diabetic nephropathy(DN).METHODS:In this retrospective study,54 patients(54 eyes)that diagnosed as DME from January 2017 to October 2021 were *** patients were divided into two groups:DME patients with DN(25 eyes),and DME patients without DN(29 eyes).General conditions were collected before treatment,laboratory tests include fasting blood glucose,HbA1c,microalbumin/creatinine,serum *** coherence tomography(OcT)was used to check the ellipsoidal zone(EZ)and external limiting membrane(ELM)*** macular thickness(cMT),best corrected visual acuity(BcVA),and retinal hyperreflective foci(HF)as well as numbers of injections were ***:There were significant differences between fasting blood glucose,HbA1c,serum creatinine,urinary microalbumin/creatinine,and estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)between the two groups(all Pcontinuity in the DME+DN group was worse than that in the DME group(PcVA(logMAR)in the DME group was significantly better than that in the DME+DN group at the same time points during treatment(all PcMT and HF values were significantly higher in the DME+DN group than that in the DME group at the all time points(all Pcantly decreased in both groups with time during *** 6mo after treatment,the mean number of injections in the DME+DN and DME group was 4.84±0.94 and 3.79±0.86,***:conbercept has a significant effect in short-term treatment of DME patients with or without DN,and can significantly ameliorate BcVA,cMT and the number of HF,treatment efficacy of DME patients without DN is better than that of DME patients with DN.

Acute pancreatitis(AP)is a potentially fatal condition with no targeted treatment *** inhibiting xanthine oxidase(XO)in the treatment of AP has been studied in several experimental models and clinical trials,whether XO is a target of AP and what its the main mechanism of action is remains ***,we aimed to re-evaluate whether XO is a target aggravating AP other than merely generating reactive oxygen species that trigger *** first revealed that XO expression and enzyme activity were significantly elevated in the serum and pancreas of necrotizing AP *** also found that allopurinol and febuxostat,as purine-like and non-purine XO inhibitors,respectively,exhibited protective effects against pancreatic acinar cell death in vitro and pancreatic damage in vivo at different doses and treatment time ***,we observed that conditional Xdh overexpression aggravated pancreatic necrosis and *** mechanism analysis showed that XO inhibition restored the hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha(HIF-1α)-regulated lactate dehydrogenase A(LDHA)and NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3)signaling pathways and reduced the enrichment of^(13)c_(6)-glucose to^(13)c_(3)-***,we observed that clinical circulatory XO activity was significantly elevated in severe cases and correlated with c-reactive protein levels,while pancreatic XO and urate were also increased in severe AP *** results together indicated that proper inhibition of XO might be a promising therapeutic strategy for alleviating pancreatic necrosis and preventing progression of severe AP by downregulating HIF-1α-mediated LDHA and NLRP3 signaling pathways.

Analysis of the correlation Between Visceral Fat Area and Insulin Resistance in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes and Abdominal Obesity

Objective: To analyze the correlation between visceral fat area and insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and abdominal obesity and to provide a reference for screening and related research of such patients. Methods: Two hundred patients with T2DM admitted to Guandu People’s Hospital of Kunming were included. The study was carried out from October 2022 to December 2023. The patients were divided into three groups according to different abdominal visceral fat areas (VFA): Group A (n = 65) was less than 75cm2, Group B (n = 75) was 75-100 cm2, and Group c (n = 60) was greater than 100 cm2. The subjects in the three groups were all tested for glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting insulin (FINS), and fasting blood glucose (FPG). Height and weight were measured to calculate body mass index (BMI). The HOMA-IR and TYG (fasting triglyceride and glycemic index) were also calculated. changes in the BMI, VFA, HOMA-IR, and TYG levels were observed in the three groups. Results: The VFA, BMI, HbA1c, FPG, FINS, HOMA-IR, and TYG of the patients all increased, with a more significant increase in the BMI, FINS, HOMA-IR, and TYG levels (P ceral fat area (VFA) as the dependent variable. The results showed that VFA was closely related to BMI, FINS, HOMA-IR, and TYG. conclusion: Early reduction of VFA to reduce insulin resistance may be a better treatment and effective method for T2DM, providing powerful measures and new strategies for effective blood sugar control and early prevention in the treatment of metabolic diseases.
