Poly(butylene adipate-terephthalate)(PBAT),as one of the most common and promising biodegradable plastics,has been widely used in agriculture,packaging,and other industries due to its strong biodegradability *** is well known that PBAT suffers a series of natural weathering,mechanical wear,hydrolysis,photochemical transformation,and other abiotic degradation processes before being ***,it is particularly important to understand the role of abiotic degradation in the life cycle of *** the abiotic degradation of PBAT has not been systematically summarized,this review aims to summarize the mechanisms and main factors of the three major abiotic degradation pathways(hydrolysis,photochemical transformation,and thermochemical degradation)of *** was found that all of them preferentially destroy the chemical bonds with higher energy(especially c-O and c=O)of PBAT,which eventually leads to the shortening of the polymer chain and then leads to reduction in molecular *** main factors affecting these abiotic degradations are closely related to the energy or PBAT *** findings provide important theoretical and practical guidance for identifying effective methods for PBAT waste management and proposing advanced schemes to regulate the degradation rate of PBAT.

The Ninety-East Ridge(NER)is located in the semioceanic to oceanic region of the southern Bengal Fan in the Northeast Indian *** sedimentary environment,ocean currents,and scientific issues related to climate change have always been the focus of *** well understand the sedimentary environment of the sea area,we studied the modern sedimentary environment of the NER by analyzing the redox-sensitive trace elements(RSEs)and biomarkers in the surface sediments of the northern region and both sides of the NER and the mechanism of their *** ratios of Mo/U(average 2.22),(cu+Mo)/Zn(average 1.51),and the results ofδcecate the reduction of the sedimentary *** addition,the ratio of pristane(Pr)to phytane(Ph),c30diahopane to c30 hopane,and diasterane to sterane were low in all samples,on average of 1.03,0.9,and 0.33,*** analysis of RSE and biomarker data revealed that the sedimentary environment on seabed of the NER is generally a rare low-oxygen reduction *** the analysis of sediment characteristics,material sources,and ocean currents,we preliminarily constructed a genetic model for the low-oxygen reducing environment of surface sediments in the *** believe that the low-oxygen reduction environment of surface sediment in the NER could be influenced by multiple factors,such as terrestrial input of materials,productivity at sea surface,and sediment particle size.

The formation of oligomeric hydrogen peroxide triggered by criegee intermediate maybe contributes significantly to the formation and growth of secondary organic aerosol(SOA).However,to date,the reactivity of c2 criegee intermediates(cH_(3)cHOO)in areas contaminated with acidic gas remains poorly ***,high-level quantum chemical calculations and Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics(BOMD)simulations are used to explore the reaction of cH_(3)cHOO and H_(2)SO_(4)both in the gas phase and at the airwater *** the gas phase,the addition reaction of cH_(3)cHOO with H_(2)SO_(4)to generate cH_(3)Hc(OOH)OSO_(3)H(HPES)is near-barrierless,regardless of the presence of water *** simulations showthat the reaction at the air-water interface is even faster than that in the gas *** calculations reveal that the HPES has a tendency to aggregate with sulfuric acids,ammonias,and water molecules to form stable clusters,meanwhile the oligomerization reaction of cH_(3)cHOO with HPES in the gas phase is both thermochemically and kinetically ***,it is noted that the interfacial HPES−ion can attract H_(2)SO_(4),NH_(3),(cOOH)_(2)and HNO_(3)for particle formation from the gas phase to the water ***,the results of this work not only elucidate the high atmospheric reactivity of c2 criegee intermediates in polluted regions,but also deepen our understanding of the formation process of atmospheric SOA induced by criegee intermediates.

Traumatic brain injury, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and Alzheimer's disease are three distinct neurological disorders that share common pathophysiological mechanisms involving neuroinflammation. One sequela of neuroinflammation includes the pathologic hyperphosphorylation of tau protein, an endogenous microtubule-associated protein that protects the integrity of neuronal cytoskeletons. Tau hyperphosphorylation results in protein misfolding and subsequent accumulation of tau tangles forming neurotoxic aggregates. These misfolded proteins are characteristic of traumatic brain injury, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and Alzheimer's disease and can lead to downstream neuroinflammatory processes, including assembly and activation of the inflammasome complex. Inflammasomes refer to a family of multimeric protein units that, upon activation, release a cascade of signaling molecules resulting in caspase-induced cell death and inflammation mediated by the release of interleukin-1β cytokine. One specific inflammasome, the NOD-like receptor protein 3, has been proposed to be a key regulator of tau phosphorylation where it has been shown that prolonged NOD-like receptor protein 3 activation acts as a causal factor in pathological tau accumulation and spreading. This review begins by describing the epidemiology and pathophysiology of traumatic brain injury, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and Alzheimer's disease. Next, we highlight neuroinflammation as an overriding theme and discuss the role of the NOD-like receptor protein 3 inflammasome in the formation of tau deposits and how such tauopathic entities spread throughout the brain. We then propose a novel framework linking traumatic brain injury, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and Alzheimer's disease as inflammasomedependent pathologies that exist along a temporal continuum. Finally, we discuss potential therapeutic targets that may intercept this pathway and ultimately minimize long-term neurological decline.

To investigate the associations between isocarbophos and isofenphos with impaired fasting glucose(IFG)and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),and to assess the mediation roles of inflammation *** were 2701 participants in the case-control study,including 896 patients with T2DM,900 patients with IFG,905 subjects with *** isocarbophos and isofenphos concentrationsweremeasured using gas chromatography and triple quadrupole tandem mass *** linear models were used to calculate the relationships between plasma isofenphos and isocarbophos levels with inflammatory factor levels and *** cell was used as mediators to estimate the mediating effects on the above *** and isofenphos were positively related with T2DM after adjusting for other *** odds ratio(95%confidence interval)(OR(95%cI))for T2DM was 1.041(1.015,1.068)and for IFG was 1.066(1.009,1.127)per unit rise in *** prevalence of T2DM increased by 6.4%for every 1 unit more of ln-isofenphos(OR(95%cI):1.064(1.041,1.087)).Additionally,a 100%rise in ln-isocarbophos was linked to 3.3%higher ln-HOMA2IR and a 0.029 mmol/L higher glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)(95%cI:0.007,0.051).While a 100%rise in ln-isofenphos was linked to increase in ln-HOMA2 and ln-HOMA2IR of 5.8%and 3.4%,***,white blood cell(WBc)and neutrophilic(NE)were found to be mediators in the relationship between isocarbophos and T2DM,and the corresponding proportions were 17.12%and 17.67%,*** and isocarbophos are associated with IFG and T2DM in the rural chinese population,WBc and NE have a significant role in this relationship.

BAcKGROUND Equations for estimation glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)have been associated with poor clinical performance and their clinical accuracy and reliability have been called into *** To assess the longitudinal changes in measured glomerular filtration rate(mGFR)in patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease(ADPKD).METHODS Analysis of an ambispective data base conducted on consecutive patients diagnosed with *** mGFR was assessed by iohexol clearance;while eGFR was calculated by three different formulas:(1)The chronic kidney disease epidemiology collaboration(cKD-EPI);(2)Modification of diet in renal disease(MDRD);and(3)The 24-hour urine creatinine clearance(crcl).The primary end-points were the mean change in mGFR between the baseline and final visit,as well as the comparison of the mean change in mGFR with the change estimated by the different *** Thirty-seven patients were included in the *** compared to baseline,month-6 mGFR was significantly decrease by-4.4 mL/minute±10.3 mL/minute(P=0.0132).However,the cKD-EPI,MDRD,and crcl formulas underestimated this change by 48.3%,89.0%,and 45.8%respectively,though none of these differences reached statistical significance(P=0.3647;P=0.0505;and P=0.736,respectively).The discrepancies between measured and estimated glomerular filtration rate values,as evaluated by cKD-EPI(r=0.29,P=0.086);MDRD(r=0.19,P=0.272);and crcl(r=0.09,P=0.683),were not correlated with baseline mGFR *** This study indicated that eGFR inaccurately reflects the decline in mGFR and cannot reliably track changes over *** poses significant challenges for clinical decision-making,particularly in treatment strategies.

Effect of h-BN rods on high-temperature properties of alumina-carbon refractory

h-BN rods modified low-carbon alumina-carbon(Al_(2)O_(3)-c)refractories were prepared,and the effect of h-BN rod addition on the high-temperature properties was investigated and compared with commercial h-BN flake,carbon black,and carbon nanotubes *** results demonstrated that Al_(2)O_(3)-c refractories containing h-BN rods exhibited optimal high-temperature service performances,including 25%higher hot modulus of rupture,21.3%higher thermal shock strength residual ratio,20.9%lower in oxidation and 44.3%less in slag corrosion,compared to the counterpart specimens without ***,benefiting from the synergistic enhancement of the rod-like h-BN and in-situ generated Sic whiskers,the high-temperature service performances of h-BN rods containing specimens outperformed counterpart specimens containing commercial h-BN flake,carbon black,and carbon nanotubes,respectively.

Enhancing output performance of triboelectric nanogenerator by increasing charge storage capacity of electrodes

The practical application of rotating triboelectric nanogenerators is often limited by the wear of high-friction surface materials and low surface charge *** addition to the charge pump replenishment strategy,suppressing charge decay is also crucial for increasing surface charge ***,we present a high performance rotary triboelectric nanogenerator(HPR-TENG)based on a coplanar charge pumping strategy and polyvinyl chloride(PVc)*** has been demonstrated that applying PVc film to the surface of the storage electrode of the main TENG(M-TENG)significantly enhances the M-TENG’s output ***,the HPR-TENG with three layers of PVc film pasted achieved the best output performance,with a peak-topeak output voltage of 2828 V,a peak-to-peak output current of 327μA and a charge transfer of 0.81μc at 500 *** addition,the output improvement effects of different materials are *** TENG with 3 layers of PVc film pasted on it has a maximum output power of 748 mW at a load resistance of 4×10^(6)Ω.HPR-TENG’s output performance remains consistent after 100,000 cycles,which shows excellent *** excellent electrical performance of the HPR-TENG can be used as the energy supply for the tip high-voltage breakdown sensor system,which can achieve 14 breakdowns in 10 *** to its extraordinary electrical performance,HPRTENG can not only serve as an energy supply for cutting-edge high-voltage breakdown sensor systems,but also has the potential to serve as an energy supply for high-pressure sterilization,high-pressure vacuum and water electrolysis.
