The use of a.wa.te-ba.ed seconda.y fuel in clinker kilns is a.widely used pra.tice. Nevertheless, specific studies to understa.d the destruction mecha.ism of exha.st polluta.ts in cement ra. ma.eria. (CRM) a.e limited. This work focuses on the possible ca.a.ytic effect of the intera.tion of exha.st ga.es from the combustion of sewa.e sludge with va.ious solids beds, including CRM. Ca.a.yst ba.ed on va.a.ium pentoxide a.d deNOx commercia. ca.a.yst, ba.ed on Ti/Zr/Pt, were used. The beha.iors of vola.ile compounds, polycyclic a.oma.ic compounds a.d dioxins a.d fura.s a.e a.a.yzed in the presence or a.sence of the different ma.eria.s. Some compounds a.e produced when intera.ting the polluta.ts with the beds, a.d some others a.e destroyed. Results show tha. the presence of CRM a. the outlet of the combustion ga.es is beneficia. for the decrea.e in polluta.t emission, confirmed by a.ca.a.ytic effect of CRM a. medium tempera.ures.

The Hispa.ic popula.ion of the United Sta.es ha. become, in recent times, into a.powerful electora. force whose vote is historica.ly oriented towa.ds the Democra.ic Pa.ty of the incumbent US President Ba.a.k H. Oba.a. Obviously, this growing electora. strength is reflected into its politica. presence in the a.erica. life tha. ha. been a.complished with their numeric inclusion in the US Congress. a.though in the recent deca.es severa. studies ha.e a.isen on the sta.us of the Hispa.ic community in the United Sta.es from both sides of the a.la.tic, these ha.e been prima.ily focused on ca.uistic, demogra.hic, developmenta. or educa.iona. a.pects. But only a.few of them, if a.y, ha. focused exclusively on the numerica. a.d symbolica. representa.ion of the community in the politica. a.ena. a.d more specifica.ly into the ma.n legisla.ive body of the country, the US Congress. a.d therein it la.s the purpose of this a.ticle. We intend to investiga.e not only the historica. presence of Hispa.ic legisla.ors in Congress but a.so a.d especia.ly their politica. influence in the current U.S. Congress. Fina.ly, a.d prior to the conclusions dra.n throughout the pa.er, we will a.a.yze the politica. influence of the Hispa.ic congresswomen in the current 114th Congress. a. we will be brea.ing down, this group ha. been cha.ging gra.ua.ly from a.poor oppressed minority into one of the most dyna.ic groups of the country, introduced a. a.l levels of government.

a.M: To a.sess the double-ba.loon enteroscopy(DBE) role in ma.igna.t sma.l bowel tumors(MSBT).METHODS: This is a.retrospective descriptive study performed in a.single center. a.l consecutive pa.ients who underwent a.DBE with fina. dia.nosis of a.ma.igna.t neopla.m from 2004 to 2014 in our referra. center were included. Pa.ient demogra.hic a.d clinica. pa.hologica. cha.a.teristics were recorded a.d reviewed. MSBT dia.nosis wa. a.hieved either by DBE directed biopsy with multiple tissue sa.pling, endoscopic findings or histologica. a.a.ysis of surgica. specimen. We ha.e a.a.yzed double-ba.loon enteroscopy impa.t in outcome a.d clinica. course of these pa.ients. RESULTS: Of 627 pa.ients, 28(4.5%)(mea. a.e = 60 ± 17.3 yea.s) underwent 30 procedures(25 a.terogra.e, 5 retrogra.e) a.d were dia.nosed of a.ma.igna.t tumor. Pa.ients presented with obscure ga.trointestina. bleeding(n = 19, 67.9%), occlusion syndrome(n = 7, 25%) a.d dia.rhea.n = 1, 3.6%). They were dia.nosed by DBE biopsy(n = 18, 64.3%), histologica. a.a.ysis of surgica. specimen(n = 7, 25%) a.d unequivoca. endoscopic findings(n = 2, 7.1%). Ga.trointestina. stroma. tumor(n = 8, 28.6%), a.enoca.cinoma.n = 7, 25%), lymphoma.n = 4, 14.3%), neuroendocrine tumor(n = 4, 14.3%), meta.ta.ic(n = 3, 10.7%) a.d Ka.osi sa.coma.n = 1, 3.6%) were identified. DBE modified outcome in 7 ca.es(25%), dela.ing or a.oiding emergency surgery(n = 3), modifying surgery a.proa.h(n = 2) a.d indica.ing emergency SB pa.tia. resection instea. of elective a.proa.h(n = 2).CONCLUSION: DBE ma. be critica. in the ma.a.ement of MSBT providing a.ditiona. informa.ion tha. ma. be decisive in the clinica. course of these pa.ients.
