The exploitation of electrocatalysts with high activity and durability for HER is desirable for future energy systems,but it is still a *** have attracted increasing attentions,but the preparation process often needs toxic regents or dangerous reaction ***,we develop a general green method to fabricate metal-rich NMPs anchored on NPG through pyrolyzing DNA cross-linked *** obtained Ru_(2) P-NPG exhibits an ultrasmall overpotential of 7 mV at 10 mA cm^(2) and ultralow Tafel slope of 33 mV dec^(-1) in 1.0 mol L?1 KOH,even better than that of commercial Pt/*** addition,Ru 2 P-NPG also shows low overpotentials of 29 and 78 mV in 0.5 mol L^(-1) H_(2)SO_(4) and 1.0 mol L^(-1) PBS,*** superior activity can be attributed to the ultrafine dispersion of Ru 2 P nanoparticles for more accessible sites,more defects formed for abundant active sites,the two-dimensional plane structure for accelerated electron transfer and mass transport,as well as the regulation of electron distribution of the ***,the synthetic method can also be applied to prepare other metal-rich noble metal phosphides(Pd_(3)P-NPG and Rh_(2)P-NPG),which also exhibits high activity for *** work provides an effective strategy for designing NMP-based electrocatalysts.

Prevalence and ecological factors affecting the distribution of plant-parasitic nematodes in Prunus groves in Spain

A wide survey was conducted to study plant-parasitic nematodes(PPNs)associated with Prunus groves in *** research aimed to determine the prevalence and distribution of PPNs in Prunus groves,as well as the influence of explanatory variables describing soil,climate and agricultural management in structuring the variation of PPNs community composition.A total of 218 sampling sites were surveyed and 84 PPN species belonging to 32 genera were identified based of an integrative taxonomic *** species considered as potential limiting factors in Prunus production,such as Meloidogyne arenaria,***,***,Pratylenchus penetrans and ***,were identified in this *** soil physico-chemical(C,Mg,N,Na,OM,P,pH and clay,loamy sand and sandy loam texture classes),four climate(Bio04,Bio05,Bio13 and Bio14)and four agricultural management variables(grove-use history less than 10 years,irrigation,apricot seedling rootstock,and Montclar rootstock)were identified as the most influential variables driving spatial patterns of PPNs *** particular,younger plantations showed higher values for species richness and diversity indices than groves cultivated for more than 20 years with Prunus *** study increases the knowledge of the distribution and prevalence of PPNs associated with Prunus rhizosphere,as well as on the influence of explanatory variables driving the spatial structure PPNs communities,which has important implications for the successful design of sustainable management strategies in the future in this agricultural system.

The rapidly increasing production of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)and their limited service time increases the number of spent LIBs,eventually causing serious environmental issues and resource *** the perspectives of clean production and the development of the LIB industry,the effective recovery and recycling of spent LIBs require urgent *** study provides an overview of the current hydrometallurgical processes employed in the recycling of spent cathode materials,focusing on the leaching of valuable metals and their *** particular,this research reviews the various leaching systems(inorganic acid,organic acid,and ammonia)and the separation of valuable metals,and then,recommendations for subsequent study are offered in an attempt to contribute to the development of highly efficient methods for recycling spent cathode *** addition,a range of existing technologies,such as solvent extraction,chemical precipitation,electrochemical deposition,and regeneration,for the postprocessing of leaching solutions are ***,the promising technologies,existing challenges and suggestions with respect to the development of effective and environmentally friendly recycling methods for handling spent cathode materials are identified.

Validating the use of ROS-scavenging bacteria as probiotics to increase coral resilience to thermal stress

Thermal stress causes the overproduction and toxic accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS),which seems to be correlated with coral bleaching and,ultimately,*** reduction of ROS concentration within the coral holobiont could minimize the effects of thermal stress and support efforts to reduce coral decline *** the current study,we explored the physiological responses of Pocillopora damicornis to ROS-scavenging bacteria inoculation as well as the microbiome restructuring that correlates with ***’s resilience to thermal stress after probiotic *** of corals with ROS-scavenging bacteria enhanced coral health and reduced ROS ***,the enhanced coral thermal resistance promoted by ROS-scavenging bacteria was also correlated with an overall coral microbiome *** addition,the complex network relationships between bacteria and Symbiodiniaceae in corals after ROS-scavenging bacteria inoculation contributed to corals’resilience to high ***,coral heat tolerance bacterial biomarkers,such as Myxococcota,were enriched in corals with added ROS-scavenging ***,our findings validate the selected ROS-scavenging bacteria as coral probiotics that could help corals resist thermal stress on a short ***,our data contribute to our understanding of the potential interactions between different members of the coral holobiont and the use of probiotics as tools to aid coral restoration efforts.

TOPK Inhibition Enhances the Sensitivity of Colorectal Cancer Cells to Radiotherapy by Reducing the DNA Damage Response

Objective Abnormal expression of T-lymphokine-activated killer cell-originated protein kinase(TOPK)was reported to be closely related to the resistance of prostate cancer to radiotherapy and to targeted drug resistance in lung ***,the role of TOPK inhibition in enhancing radiosensitivity of colorectal cancer(CRC)cells is *** study aimed to evaluate the radiosensitization of TOPK knockdown in CRC *** The expression of TOPK was detected in CRC tissues by immunohistochemistry,and the effect of TOPK knockdown was detected in CRC cells by western ***-8 and clonogenic assays were used to detect the growth and clonogenic ability of CRC cells after TOPK knockdown combined with radiotherapy in CRC ***,proteomic analysis showed that the phosphorylation of TOPK downstream proteins changed after *** damage was detected by the comet *** in the DNA damage response signaling pathway were analyzed by western blotting,and apoptosis was detected by flow *** The expression of TOPK was significantly greater in CRC tissues at grades 2–4 than in those at grade *** irradiation,CRC cells with genetically silenced TOPK had shorter comet tails and reduced expression levels of DNA damage response-associated proteins,including phospho-cyclin-dependent kinase 1(p-CDK1),phospho-ataxia telangiectasia-mutated(p-ATM),poly ADP-ribose polymerase(PARP),and meiotic recombination 11 homolog 1(MRE11).Conclusions TOPK was overexpressed in patients with moderately to poorly differentiated ***,TOPK knockdown significantly enhanced the radiosensitivity of CRC cells by reducing the DNA damage response.

MEMS Huygens Clock Based on Synchronized Micromechanical Resonators

with the continuous miniaturization of electronic devices,microelectromechanical system(MEMS)oscillators that can be combined with integrated circuits have attracted increasing *** study reports a MEMS Huygens clock based on the synchronization principle,comprising two synchronized MEMS oscillators and a frequency compensation *** MEMS Huygens clock improved shorttime stability,improving the Allan deviation by a factor of 3.73 from 19.3 to 5.17 ppb at 1 s.A frequency compensation system based on the MEMS oscillator’s temperature-frequency characteristics was developed to compensate for the frequency shift of the MEMS Huygens clock by controlling the resonator *** effectively improved the long-term stability of the oscillator,with the Allan deviation improving by 1.6343105 times to 30.9 ppt at 6000 *** power consumption for compensating both oscillators simultaneously is only 2.85 mw·℃^(-1).Our comprehensive solution scheme provides a novel and precise engineering solution for achieving high-precision MEMS oscillators and extends synchronization applications in MEMS.

The effectiveness of monitoring and early-warning systems for ground deformation phenomena,such as sinkholes,depends on their ability to accurately resolve the ongoing ground displacement and detect the subtle deformation preceding catastrophic *** sinkholes with a slow subsidence rate and diffuse edges pose a significant challenge for subsidence monitoring due to the low deformation rates and limited lateral strain *** this work,we satisfactorily illustrate the practicality of the Brillouin optical time domain analysis(BOTDA)to measure the spatial-temporal patterns of the vertical displacement in such challenging slow-moving sagging *** assess the performance of the approach,we compare the strain recorded by the distributed optical fiber sensor with the vertical displacement measured by high-precision *** results show a good spatial correlation with the ability to identify the maximum subsidence *** is also a good temporal correlation with the detection of an acceleration phase in the subsidence associated with a flood event.

The rapid progress of modern technologies has accelerated the prominence of thermal expansion mismatch between materials,and tunable thermal expansion materials will be a powerful safeguard against this ***,isotropic MHfF_(6)(M=Ca,Mn,Fe,and Co)compounds with tunable thermal expansion have been produced via a low-cost synthetic method and *** utilizing temperature dependent X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Raman spectroscopy,combined with first principles calculations,it was revealed that the transverse thermal vibrations of the F atoms are dominated by low-frequency phonons with negative Grüneisen parameters and are therefore the origin of the negative thermal expansion(NTE).Very interestingly,with the increase of the M atomic number,the metal…F atomic linkages become stiffer,reducing the number of vibrational modes with negative Grüneisen parameters,so that the strong NTE can be gradually adjusted to moderate NTE and to near zero thermal *** present study achieves the tunable thermal expansion in a new compound family and shed light on the internal mechanism from the perspective of lattice vibrational dynamics.

The low thermal conductivity and light mass of castables for tundish permanent linings are crucial for minimizing the heat loss of molten *** consideration of the low bulk density and thermal conductivity of pearlescent sand,the thermal insulation performance of castables was attempted to be improved by adding pearlescent *** sand was modified to prevent the strength of its porous structure from *** modification mechanism of pearlescent sand and the effect of pearlescent sand on the performance of bauxite castables were *** results suggested that the addition of the modified pearlescent sand significantly raised the apparent porosity and decreased the bulk density of bauxite *** 1000℃,the bulk density of more than 60%of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable was only 2.03 g/cm^(3).The mechanical properties and thermal shock resistance of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable were inferior to those of conventional bauxite castable but were adequate to meet the use conditions of casta-bles for tundish permanent *** high temperatures of 200-800℃,the thermal conductivity of more than 60%of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable was smaller than that of conventional bauxite *** addition of the modified pearlescent sand can greatly reduce the thermal conductivity and bulk density of bauxite castable.
