BACKGROUND Toxic epidermal necrolysis(TEN)is a life-threatening dermatological emergency mainly induced by drug hypersensitivity *** management includes discontinuation of culprit drug and application of immunomodulatory ***,mortality remains high due to complications like septic shock and multiorgan *** approaches for skin care are *** report introduces borneol-gypsum,a traditional Chinese drug but a novel dressing serving as an adjuvant of TEN therapy,might significantly improve skin conditions and patient outcomes in *** SUMMARY A 38-year-old woman diagnosed with eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis experienced gangrenous complications and motor nerve *** initial treatment of high-dose corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide,symptom of foot drop improved,absolute eosinophil counts decreased,while limb pain *** was added to alleviate her ***,TEN *** topical application of borneol-gypsum dressing not only protected the skin lesions from infection but also significantly eased localized *** approach demonstrated its merit in TEN management by promoting skin healing and potentially reducing infection *** Borneol-gypsum dressing is a promising adjuvant that could significantly improve TEN management,skin regeneration,and patient comfort.

The local structure of the metal single-atom site is closely related to the catalytic activity of metal single-atom catalysts(SACs).However,constructing SACs with homogeneous metal active sites is a challenge due to the surface heterogeneity of the conventional ***,we prepared two Rh1/CeO_(2)SACs(0.5Rh1/r-CeO_(2)and 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2),respectively)using two shaped CeO_(2)(rod and cube)exposing different facets,i.e.,CeO_(2)(111)and CeO_(2)(100).In CO oxidation reaction,the T100 of 0.5Rh1/r-CeO_(2)SACs is 120°C,while the T100 of 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2)SACs is as high as 200°*** in-situ CO diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(CO-DRIFTS),we found that the proximity between OH group and Rh single atom on the plane surface plays an important role in the catalytic activity of Rh1/CeO_(2)SAC system in CO *** Rh single atom trapped at the CeO_(2)(111)crystal surface forms the Rh1(OH)adjacent species,which is not found on the CeO_(2)(100)crystal surface at room ***,during CO oxidation,the OH group far from Rh single atom on the 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2)disappears and forms Rh1(OH)adjacent species when the temperature is above 150°*** formation of Rh1(OH)adjacentCO intermediate in the reaction is pivotal for the excellent catalytic activity,which explains the difference in the catalytic activity of Rh single atoms on two different CeO_(2)*** formed Rh1(OH)adjacent-O-Ce structure exhibits good stability in the reducing atmosphere,maintaining the Rh atomic dispersion after CO oxidation even when pre-reduced at high temperature of 500°*** functional theory(DFT)calculations validate the unique activity and reaction path of the intermediate Rh1(OH)adjacentCO species *** work demonstrates that the proximity between metal single atom and hydroxyl can determine the formation of active intermediates to affect the catalytic performances in catalysis.

Objective:Regarding frozen-thawed embryo transfer(FET),there is limited consensus on whether extending embryo culture from the cleavage stage to the blastocyst stage affects perinatal *** study aimed to compare perinatal outcomes of singletons between blastocyst-stage embryo transfer(BT)and cleavage-stage embryo transfer(CT)in ***:A total of 9408 FET cycles that met the inclusion criteria were included in this retrospective cohort study between 2019 and ***-stage embryo transfers were performed in the BT group,and cleavage-stage embryo transfers were performed in the CT *** logistic regression analyses were performed,as well as propensity score matching(PSM)to adjust for ***:After PSM,a higher risk of pre-term birth(PTB;odds ratio[OR]:1.23,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.00-1.50,P=0.048)and being large for gestational age(LGA;OR:1.16,95%CI:1.00-1.35,P=0.050)was observed in the BT group compared to that in the CT *** stratified PSM,in the subgroup under 35 years of age,only an increased risk of LGA was observed in the BT group compared to the CT *** outcomes in the double-embryo transfer subgroup were similar to those in the unstratified ***,in the subgroup beyond 35 years of age and the single embryo transfer subgroup,perinatal outcomes were not statistically different between the BT and CT groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:In FET,prolonged embryo culture to the blastocyst stage increased the risk of PTB and LGA in single ***,stratified analysis based on age and the number of transferred embryos yielded different results,necessitating further mechanistic studies.

Federated Dynamic Client Selection for Fairness Guarantee in Heterogeneous Edge Computing

Federated learning has emerged as a distributed learning paradigm by training at each client and aggregat-ing at a parameter *** heterogeneity hinders stragglers from responding to the server in time with huge com-munication *** client grouping in federated learning can solve the straggler problem,the stochastic selection strategy in client grouping neglects the impact of data distribution within each ***,current client grouping ap-proaches make clients suffer unfair participation,leading to biased performances for different *** order to guaran-tee the fairness of client participation and mitigate biased local performances,we propose a federated dynamic client selec-tion method based on data representativity(FedSDR).FedSDR clusters clients into groups correlated with their own lo-cal computational *** estimate the significance of client datasets,we design a novel data representativity evalua-tion scheme based on local data ***,the two most representative clients in each group are selected to optimize the global ***,the DYNAMIC-SELECT algorithm updates local computational efficiency and data representativity states to regroup clients after periodic average *** on real datasets show that FedS-DR improves client participation by 27.4%,37.9%,and 23.3%compared with FedAvg,TiFL,and FedSS,respectively,tak-ing fairness into account in federated *** addition,FedSDR surpasses FedAvg,FedGS,and FedMS by 21.32%,20.4%,and 6.90%,respectively,in local test accuracy variance,balancing the performance bias of the global model across clients.

Precipitation infiltration serves as a significant source of groundwater in the Badain Jaran *** investigate variations in precipitation infiltration within the desert,this study collected data on moisture content and temperature from the vadose zone through in-situ field *** these data,a numerical model is employed to explore the mechanism of groundwater recharge via *** results are as follows:(1)Moisture content and temperature in the shallow vadose zone exhibit significant seasonal variations,with moisture content diminishing with increasing depth;(2)Groundwater recharge via precipitation infiltration initially increases and then decreases with groundwater level depth(GWD).Peak groundwater recharge via precipitation occurs at a GWD of 0.75 m,decreasing to merely 0.012 cm at GWDs exceeding 2 m;(3)Groundwater is no longer susceptible to phreatic water evaporation when the GWD reaches approximately 3.7 ***,GWD plays a crucial role in governing groundwater recharge via precipitation in the Badain Jaran Desert.

在国际交往日益频繁、国际竞争持续深入的当下,国际传播成为各国取得竞争优势的重要一极。与传统意义上以大众媒介为主要场域不同,广义国际传播包括主体和对象之间一切因为互动引发的信息交换行为,深刻作用于参与者的国际权力地位和文明影响能力。因此,国际传播战略制定的意义重大,必须反映国际竞争的全局性、系统性和长期性。基于此,从现实主义和建构主义出发,将国家综合实力与广义文化近似程度确定为国际传播战略模型(受众矩阵)的横纵坐标,从而区隔出四个象限,各自衍生出一种国际传播战略。首先是综合实力强、广义文化相近的“同源与责任战略”,强调和突出国际传播主体与对象同文同种的“自我认同”,渲染强大前者在同文化圈领导或核心的负责任国家形象;其次是综合实力强、广义文化相异的“标杆与说服战略”,即文化相异、综合实力较强的国际传播主体应努力跨越文化鸿沟,示范和说服国际传播对象明确认识和接受这一事实并开展建设性交流和实质性合作;再次是综合实力弱、广义文化相近的“共情与跟随战略”,也就是在“同文化、弱实力”比较条件下,主体通过国际传播强调双方广义文化近似程度并清晰表达“跟随”战略意图,引发受众共情效应,从而最大化保护国家安全和其他重要利益;最后是综合实力弱、广义文化相异的“互利与展演战略”,即以普世性利益为交流合作切入点、以不同文化共鸣之处为展演,弱势方通过国际传播使强势方认可其国家形象并接受合作诚意。

Impact of a 12-wk physical conditioning program on the aerobic capacity of aviation cadets

BACKGROUND Flight cadets need to have good physical fitness to cope with the challenges of flying *** continuous development of science and technology has led to the constant upgrading of fighter jets and the improvement of their performance,which has resulted in new and higher requirements for the physical fitness of flight *** traditional physical training mode,method,and assessment have been used for many years and do not meet current fitness *** To investigate the impact of a 12-wk comprehensive anti-G fitness training program on the aerobic capacity of aviation cadets and to evaluate its *** Fifty-five cadets were randomly assigned to control and experimental groups using a randomized,single-blind *** control group maintained their existing training regimen,while the experimental group participated in a 12-wk comprehensive training *** training program comprised strength training twice per week,high-intensity interval training three times per week,and supplemental nutritional and psychological *** oxygen uptake(VO2max),lower limb strength,and hemoglobin levels were measured at baseline,at 6 wk and 12 wk *** Repeated measures analysis of variance revealed significant differences of both VO2max and relative VO2 in both groups across time points(P0.05).Paired t-tests comparing baseline and 12-wk results showed that VO2max and relative VO2 were significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group(Plimb strength and hemoglobin levels,were also significantly different over time and between groups(P0.05).CONCLUSION A 12-wk comprehensive anti-G fitness trainin

Chronic pain often develops severe mood changes such as ***,how chronic pain leads to depression remains elusive and the mechanisms determining individuals’responses to depression are largely *** we found that depression-like behaviors could only be observed in 67.9%of mice with chronic neuropathic pain,leaving 32.1%of mice with depression *** determined that the spike discharges of the ventral tegmental area(VTA)-projecting lateral habenula(LHb)glutamatergic(Glu)neurons were sequentially increased in sham,resilient and susceptible mice,which consequently inhibited VTA dopaminergic(DA)neurons through a LHbGlu-VTAGABA-VTADA ***,the LHbGlu-VTADA excitatory inputs were dampened via GABAB receptors in a pre-synaptic *** of LHb-VTA pathway largely affected the development of depressive symptoms caused by chronic *** study thus identifies a pivotal role of the LHb-VTA pathway in coupling chronic pain with depression and highlights the activity-dependent contribution of LHbGlu-to-VTADA inhibition in depressive behavioral regulation.
