Despite advances in stroke treatment in the United States stroke remains the third leading cause of death among minorities’ populations and the leading cause of serious, long-term disability in the United States. Minority populations are less likely to know all stroke symptoms, and far less likely to know all heart attack symptoms. There are many benefits of early treatment of stroke yet the majority of minorities don’t get this treatment they need because they do not recognize the warning signs, risk factors and prevention of stroke. Objectives: The objectives of this community based stroke prevention intervention course is to develop stroke champions in minority communities to increase knowledge and awareness of stroke warning signs, risk factors and prevention in minority populations living in a major urban community. Methods: The theoretical approach is based on Social Cognitive Theory and the Stages of Change. A multi-site quasi-experimental design was used to（a） significantly increase minority communities knowledge and awareness about stroke, warning signs, risk factors and prevention.（b） Empower minority communities to decide to engage in health promoting behaviors to reduce their risk for stroke. The Behavioral Risk FactorSurveillance Survey（BRFSS） was used to collect data in this study. Blood pressure screenings and referral were also conducted. A convenience sample of 3 males and 13 females participated in this study. Eighty-five percent were black,（12%） white and other（3%）. Results: Most participants in this study perceived their health status as good（56%） or very good（31%）. The Wilcoxon mathched-pairs Signed Rank test indicate that mean scores for knowledge of health promoting behaviors for stroke was(z =.00;p=1.00, knowledge of risk factors for stroke（z =.316;p=.752） and warning signs of stroke（z =-.137;p=.891）. Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the predominant impairment of neurons in the hippocampus and the formation of amyloid plaques,hyperphosphorylated tau protein,and neurofibrillary tangles in the *** overexpression of amyloid-βprecursor protein(APP)in an AD brain results in the binding of APP intracellular domain(AICD)to Fe65 protein via the C-terminal Fe65-PTB2 interaction,which then triggers the secretion of amyloid-βand the consequent pathogenesis of ***,targeting the interaction between APP and Fe65 can offer a promising therapeutic approach for ***,exosome,a type of extracellular vesicle with diameter around 30–200 nm,has gained much attention as a potential delivery tool for brain diseases,including AD,due to their ability to cross the blood–brain barrier,their efficient uptake by autologous cells,and their ability to be surface-modified with target-specific receptor ***,the engineering of hippocampus neuron cell-derived exosomes to overexpress Fe65,enabled the development of a novel exosome-based targeted drug delivery system,which carried Corynoxine-B(Cory-B,an autophagy inducer)to the APP overexpressed-neuron cells in the brain of AD *** Fe65-engineered HT22 hippocampus neuron cell-derived exosomes(Fe65-EXO)loaded with Cory-B(Fe65-EXO-Cory-B)hijacked the signaling and blocked the natural interaction between Fe65 and APP,enabling APP-targeted delivery of ***,Fe65-EXO-Cory-B induced autophagy in APP-expressing neuronal cells,leading to amelioration of the cognitive decline and pathogenesis in AD mice,demonstrating the potential of Fe65-EXO-Cory-B as an effective therapeutic intervention for AD.

Background: Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) renal abnormalities commence early in childhood. The glomerular abnormalities, glomerular hyperfiltration and albuminuria are the most prevalent. However, these SCD glomerulopathies have not been considered exclusively in the adolescent age group. Objective: To determine the prevalence of glomerular hyperfiltration and albuminuria as well as identify the determinants for glomerular hyperfiltration in adolescents with SCD. Patients and Methods: The electronic patient records of 153 adolescents with SCD aged 10 - kingdom, were reviewed from the 10th to 23rd June 2019. Clinical information and laboratory parameters were obtained. The glomerular filtration rate was derived using the Bedside Schwartz’s method. Grouping of the adolescents was based on the presence and absence of glomerular hyperfiltration, which was defined as glomerular filtration rate > 140 ml/min/m2. The presence of albuminuria was defined as urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio > 3 mg/mmol or protein-to-creatinine ratio of >15 mg/mmol. The clinical and laboratory determinants of glomerular hyperfiltration in the total study population were investigated. Result: Prevalence of glomerular hyperfiltration was 33.3% in the adolescents studied, and that of albuminuria was 15.7% amongst the SCD adolescents studied, of which 13.7% of those with glomerular hyperfiltration also had albuminuria. On univariable analysis, the SCD adolescents with glomerular hyperfiltration had significantly lower weight (48.0 ± 18.0 versus 54.8 ± 17.0 kg;p = 0.02), height (155.1 ± 13.1 versus 160.6 ± 13.1 cm;p = 0.01), body mass index (19.4 ± 5.0 versus 21.0 ± 4.3;p = 0.04), haemoglobin level (88.7 ± 13.3 versus 98.1 ± 21.7 g/L;p = 0.001), and serum creatinine level (0.4 ± 0.1 versus 0.6 ± 0.2 mg/dl;p = 0.0001) as compared to tho

Article 59.1,of the International Code of Nomenclature for Algae,Fungi,and Plants(ICN;Melbourne Code),which addresses the nomenclature of pleomorphic fungi,became effective from 30 July *** that date,each fungal species can have one nomenclaturally correct name in a particular *** other previously used names for this species will be considered as *** older generic epithet takes priority over the younger *** widely used younger names proposed for use,must comply with Art.57.2 and their usage should be approved by the Nomenclature Committee for Fungi(NCF).In this paper,we list all genera currently accepted by us in Dothideomycetes(belonging to 23 orders and 110 families),including pleomorphic and nonpleomorphic *** the case of pleomorphic genera,we follow the rulings of the current ICN and propose single generic names for future *** taxonomic placements of 1261 genera are listed as an *** names and suppressed names for 34 pleomorphic genera are listed *** and justifications are provided for possible proposed names after the list of *** are also provided on recent advances in our understanding of asexual and sexual morph linkages in Dothideomycetes.A phylogenetic tree based on four gene analyses supported 23 orders and 75 families,while 35 families still lack molecular data.
