Einstein’s theory of general relativity is playing an increasingly important role in fields such as interplanetary navigation,astrometry,and *** spacecraft and interplanetary probe prediction and estimation platforms employ a perturbed Newtonian framework,supplemented with the Einstein-Infeld-Hoffmann n-body equations of *** time in Newtonian mechanics is formally universal,the accuracy of modern radiometric tracking systems necessitate linear corrections via increasingly complex and error-prone post-Newtonian techniques—to account for light deflection due to the solar system *** flagship projects such as the ESA/JAXA BepiColombo mission now operating at unprecedented levels of accuracy,we believe the standard corrected Newtonian paradigm is approaching its limits in terms of *** this paper,we employ a novel prototype software,General Relativistic Accelerometer-based Propagation Environment,to reconstruct the Cassini cruise-phase trajectory during its first gravitational wave experiment in a fully relativistic *** results presented herein agree with post-processed trajectory information obtained from NASA’s SPICE kernels at the order of centimetres.

Dear Editor,Heart failure(HF)is a globally prevalent health problem,with high mortality and morbidity despite advanced pharmacological and device-based treatment *** epidemiological data suggest that patients with preexisting HF are more susceptible to develop incident cancer when compared to subjects free of HF,which might be explained by shared risk factors including age,hypertension,obesity,diabetes,and smoking[1-3].

In this paper,we ameliorate the model proposed in[13],by incorporating the influence of hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)status of mothers on vertical *** use the improved model to fit reported HBV new infections in the Zhejiang Province of *** to predict the course of the Hepatitis B(HBV)infection in this Chinese area,and in Tokombere,located in sub-Saharan Africa(SSA).Furthermore,we apply optimal control techniques in view to re-examine the effects of the newborn vaccination,the universal vaccination and the treatment of chronic carriers in preventing the HBV *** results show that treatment slightly steps in the optimal strategy,while immunisation is an effective *** the other hand,they indicate that the control measures and immunization programs implemented in Zhejiang Province are ***,they suggest that in SSA,a package of several policies centred on birth dose vaccination should be implemented.

We formulate and systematically study a deterministic compartmental model of Hepatitis *** model has some important and novel features compared with the well-known basic model in the ***,it takes into account the differential susceptibility that follows the vaccine formulation employing three-doses *** points up the HbeAg status of carriers,their levels of viral replication,the fact that treatment being not curative is recommended only to a small proportion of chronic carriers,and finally the fact that only inactive carriers are able to recover from *** model has simple dynamical behavior which has a globally asymptotically stable disease-free equilibrium when the basic reproduction number R0≤1 and an endemic equilibrium when R0>*** the use of Lyapunov functions,when it exists,we prove the global asymptotic stability of the endemic equilibrium under some *** data from Tokombere,a rural area in Cameroon,numerical simulations are *** numerical simulations first confirm analytical results,second they suggest that a policy based on treatment could not significantly impact the course of the ***,they show as it is well known that vaccination is a very effective measure to control the ***,they show that neonatal vaccination influences more the course of infection than mass vaccination ***,they picture how much loss between consecutive doses of vaccine could be ***,it is suggested that for a Sub-saharan African rural area,two-thirds of expected incidence of Hepatitis B virus infection and one third of expected prevalence of chronic carriers could be averted by 2030 if the birth dose vaccination becomes systematic and if mass vaccination rate increases to up 10%.

Tattooing the skin as a means of personal expression is a ritualized practice that has been around for centuries across many different ***,the symbolic meaning of tattoos has evolved over time and is highly individualized,from both the internal perspective of the wearer and the external perspective of an *** modern Western societies through the 1970 s,tattoos represented a cultural taboo,typically associated with those outside of the mainstream such as soldiers,incarcerated criminals,gang members,and others belonging to marginalized and counter-cultural *** paper aims to review the more recent epidemiology of tattoos in Western culture in order to establish that tattooing has become a mainstream *** then review psychological and psychiatric aspects of tattoos,with a goal of revising outmoded stigmas about tattooing and helping clinicians working with tattooed patients to facilitate an exploration of the personal meaning of skin art and *** suggest that as a kind of augmentation of the physical exam,looking at and talking to patients about their tattoos can provide a valuable window into the psyche,informing clinical practice.

Over the last decade,with the acceptance of the need for improvements in the outcome of patients affected with rectal cancer,there has been a significant increase in the literature regarding treatment options available to patients affected by this *** treatment related decisions should be made at a high volume multidisciplinary tumor board,after pre-operative rectal magnetic resonance imaging and the importance of total mesorectal excision(TME)are accepted standard of *** controversial is the emerging role for watchful waiting rather than radical surgery in complete pathologic responders,which may be appropriate in 20%of *** with early T1 rectal cancers and favorable pathologic features can be cured with local excision only,with transanal minimal invasive surgery(TAMIS)because of its versatility and almost universal availability of the necessary equipment and skillset in the average laparoscopic surgeon,emerging as the leading *** trials have raised concerns about the oncologic outcomes of the standard"top-down"TME hence transanal TME(Ta TME"bottom-up")approach has gained popularity as an *** challenges are many,with a dearth of evidence of the oncologic superiority in the long-term for any given ***,this review highlights recent advances in the role of chemoradiation only for complete pathologic responders,TAMIS for highly selected early rectal cancer patients and Ta TME as options to improve cure rates whilst maintaining quality of life in these patients,while we await the results of further definitive trials being currently conducted.

This paper presents a new methodological approach for the synthesis ofa neuro-fuzzy controller, using an on-line learning procedure. A simple algebraic formulation of a Sugeno fuzzy inference system that ensures a coherent universe of discourse, making easy its interpretation by a human being, is proposed and implemented in the case of the control of a bioreactor, which is considered as a complex non linear process.

Suicide is one of the greatest concerns in psychiatric practice, with considerable efforts devoted to prevention. The psychiatric view of suicide tends to equate it with depression or other forms of mental illness. However, some forms of suicide occur independently of mental illness and within a framework of cultural sanctioning such that they aren't regarded as suicide at all. Despitepersistent taboos against suicide, euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide in the context of terminal illness is increasingly accepted as a way to preserve autonomy and dignity in the West. Seppuku, the ancient samurai ritual of suicide by self-stabbing, was long considered an honorable act of self-resolve such that despite the removal of cultural sanctioning, the rate of suicide in Japan remains high with suicide masquerading as seppuku still carried out both there and abroad. Suicide as an act of murder and terrorism is a practice currently popular with Islamic militants who regard it as martyrdom in the context of war. The absence of mental illness and the presence of cultural sanctioning do not mean that suicide should not be prevented. Culturally sanctioned suicide must be understood in terms of the specific motivations that underlie the choice of death over life. Efforts to prevent culturally sanctioned suicide must focus on alternatives to achieve similar ends and must ultimately be implemented within cultures to remove the sanctioning of self-destructive acts.

The thought of exploring a possible relationship between the broad systems of steroid hormone physiology (specifically vitamin D and testosterone) and nocioception was prompted by an unexpectedly frequent personal clinical observation. Patients with chronic pain syndromes or chronic musculoskeletal pain often have low serum levels of vitamin D and testos-terone. Mining for relevant information in Pub Med, Medline and Cochrane Systems Review, three concepts repeatedly emerge that provide a common context for understanding the mechanics of these diverse sys-tems—epigenetic, homeostasis and neuroplasticity. Viewing homeostasis within the framework of epigenetics allows reasoned speculation as to how various human systems interact to maintain integrity and function, while simultaneously responding in a plastic manner to external stimuli. Cell signaling supports normal function by regulating synaptic activity, but can also effect plastic change in the central and peripheral nervous system. This is most commonly achieved by post-translational remodeling of chromatin. There is thus persistent epigenetic change in protein synthesis with all the related downstream effects but without disruption of normal DNA se-quencing. In itself, this may be considered an example of genomic homeo-stasis. Epigenetic mechanisms in nociception and analgesia are active in the paleospinothalamic and neospinothalamic tracts at all levels. Physiologic response to a nociceptive insult, whether mechanical, inflammatory or ischemic, is provided by cell signaling that is significantly enhanced through epigenetic mechanisms at work in nociceptors, Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) and glutamate receptors, voltage gated receptors, higher order neurons in the various dorsal horn laminae and proximal nociceptive pro-cessing centers in the brainstem and cortex. Ectopic testis predisposes to a high risk of germ cell tumor development. Treatment of advanced testicular germ cell tumor developing in an uncorrected abdominal testis is based on primary chemotherapy followed by removal of the testis along with residual masses. However, persistence of viable tumor particularly in the testis is always noted since testis penetration of chemotherapeutic agents is reduced. We report a case of complete pathological remission of a patient with advanced non-seminomatous germ cell tumor in intra-abdominal testis by primary chemotherapy alone, with a review of the literature.
