Effect of Butternut Squash (Cucurbita moschata) Seed p.wder on the Chemical and Rheological p.op.rties of Stirred Cultured Camel Milk and Yoghurt

Research shows that p.oducing fermented camel milk is hard because of the milk’s inability to form a firm coagulum, attributed to low levels of κ-casein and ꞵ-lactoglobulin and the large casein micelle size, leading to a weak network of casein formation. In an effort to address this issue, researchers turned to corn starch as a thickening agent, discovering that a concentration of 2.0% effectively imp.oved the viscosity and significantly reduced syneresis in stirred camel milk yoghurt and cultured camel milk. This study exp.ores alternatives to corn starch, focusing on butternut squash seeds as a p.omising substitute due to their hydrocolloid comp.sition. By incorp.rating butternut squash (Cucurbita moschata) seed p.wder (BSSp. as a thickening agent, this study aimed at enhancing the chemical and rheological p.op.rties of stirred camel milk yoghurt and cultured camel milk. Fermented camel milk was p.ep.red using 4 litres of camel milk, 2% starter cultures (thermop.ilic culture for yoghurt and mesop.ilic aromatic culture for stirred cultured camel milk) and BSSp.0.0% (negative control), 0.4%, 0.8%, 1.2%, 1.6%, 2.0% mixed with 0.4% gelatin. 2.0% corn starch mixed with 0.4% gelatin was used as a standard for comp.rison. Results showed that increasing the BSSp.level significantly (p.p.oducts. There was an increase in ash content with an increase in BSSp.levels. There was a significant (p.p., with an increase in BSSp.levels in stirred fermented camel milk samp.es. Increasing the concentration of BSSp.from 0.4% to 2.0% resulted in a significant (p.p.es. This study demonstrated that BSSp.effectively enhances the viscosity, reduces syneresis and increases acidity in stirred fermented camel milk p.oducts during storage

Dup.ex stainless steels(DSSs)used in subsea structures and desalination industries require high corrosion and erosion resistance as well as excellent mechanical *** newly introduced cast dup.ex grade ASTM A8907 A has a unique comp.sition and is exp.cted to have a much better resistance to corrosion and erosion comp.red with the sup.r-dup.ex grades 5 A and 6 *** work is a comp.rative study of the mechanical p.op.rties,corrosion,and erosion-corrosion resistance of sup.r-dup.ex grades 5 A and 6 A and the hyp.r-dup.ex grade 7 *** three DSSs exhibited equiaxial austenite islands in the ferrite matrix and balanced p.ase *** hardness of the grade 7 A was nearly 15%higher than those of the sup.r-dup.ex grades,which is attributed to the effect of the higher contents of W and Mn in 7 *** imp.ct toughness of grade 7 A was found to be lower than those of the sup.r-dup.ex grades due to the carbide p.ecip.tation resulting from the p.rtial substitution of Mo with *** oxide layer strengthening effect of rare earth elements and the higher p.tting resistance equivalent number(p.EN)of grade7 A resulted in higher corrosion *** harder and more p.ssive grade 7 A showed a 35%lower material loss during erosion-corrosion.

In this case rep.rt, we describe the anesthetic management for a 36-year-old G2p.010 at 36 weeks gestation with Sp.nal Muscular Atrop.y Typ. III who underwent an emergent caesarean section due to fetal footling breech p.sition. The p.tient is a wheelchair-bound quadrip.egic with kyp.oscoliosis and a lack of cough reflex who required nasal continuous noninvasive ventilatory sup.ort (CNVS) for chronic hyp.rcap.ic resp.ratory failure. Surgery was done under general anesthesia due to its emergent nature, and the p.tient was successfully extubated and transitioned to nasal CNVS in the op.rating room at the end of the case. p.stop.rative care was p.ovided in the medical intensive care unit for three days without comp.ication and the p.tient was discharged home uneventfully.

DEVIATIONS FROM BULK MORp.OLOGIES IN THIN FILMS OF BLOCK COp.LYMER/ADDITIVE BINARY BLENDS

Deviations from bulk morp.ologies in thin films of binary blends of alkyne-functionalized diblock cop.lymer p.ly（ethylene oxide）-bloek-p.ly（n-butyl methacrylate-random-p.op.rgyl methacrylate）（p.O-b-p.nBMA-r-p.MA）） and Rhodamine B azide are rep.rted, where thermal click reaction between the two comp.nents leads to microp.ase sep.rated morp.ologies. Both in the bulk and in thin films, increasing the azide loading ratio resulted in the u＇ansition from a lamellar microdomain morp.ology to a hexagonally p.cked cylindrical mireodomain morp.ology. However, in thin films the lamellae-cylinder transition was observed at a different azide loading ratio, which was determined by film thickness. As a result, significant deviations from the bulk morp.ology were observed. These results indicate that surface interactions and confined geometry can p.ay an imp.rtant role in dictating the morp.ology in thin films of BCp.additive binary blends.
