Nuclear facilities have a regulatory requirement to measure radiation levels within Post Operational Clean Out(POCO)around nuclear facilities each year,resulting in a trend towards robotic deployments to gain an improved understanding during nuclear decommissioning *** Uk Nuclear Decommissioning Authority supports the view that human-in-the-loop(HITL)robotic deployments are a solution to improve procedures and reduce risks within radiation characterisation of nuclear *** authors present a novel implementation of a Cyber-Physical System(CPS)deployed in an analogue nuclear environment,comprised of a multi-robot(MR)team coordinated by a HITL operator through a digital twin *** development of the CPS created efficient partnerships across systems including robots,digital systems and *** was presented as a multi-staged mission within an inspection scenario for the hetero-geneous Symbiotic Multi-Robot Fleet(SMuRF).Symbiotic interactions were achieved across the SMuRF where robots utilised automated collaborative governance to work together,where a single robot would face challenges in full characterisation of *** contributions include the demonstration of symbiotic autonomy and query-based learning of an autonomous mission supporting scalable autonomy and autonomy as a *** coordination of the CPS was a success and displayed further challenges and improvements related to future MR fleets.

Phenothiazine vs 5HT3 Antagonist Prophylactic Regimens to Prevent Post‐Anesthesia Care Unit Rescue Antiemetic: An Observational Study

Purpose: Our practitioners are asked to consider a patient’s postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) risk profile when developing their prophylactic antiemetic strategy. There is wide variation in employed strategies, and we have yet to determine the most effective PONV prophylactic regimen. The objective of this study is to compare prophylactic antiemetic regimens containing: phenothiazines to 5HT3 antagonists for effectiveness at reducing the incidence of Post‐Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) rescue antiemetic administration. Methods: This is an observational study of 4392 nonsmoking, women who underwent general anesthesia for breast surgery from 1/1/2009 through 6/30/2012. Previous history of PONV or motion sickness (HxPONV/MS) and the use of PACU opioids were recorded. Prophylactic antiemetic therapy was left to the discretion of the anesthesia care team. We compared phenothiazines and 5HT3 antagonists alone and with a glucocorticoid to determine the most effective treatment regimen in our practice for the prevention of the administration of PACU rescue antiemetics. Results: Patients who received a phenothiazine regimen compared to a 5HT3 antagonist regimen were less likely to have an antiemetic administered in the PACU (p = 0.0100) and this significant difference in rates holds in a logistic regression model adjusted for HxPONV/MS and PACU Opioid use (p = 0.0103). Conclusions: Based on our findings our clinicians are encouraged to administer a combination of a phenothiazine and a glucocorticoid in female, nonsmoking surgical breast patients for the prevention of PACU rescue antiemetic administration.

Traveling Waves and Capillarity Driven Spreading of Shear-Thinning Fluids

We study capillary spreadings of thin films of liquids of power-law rheology. These satisfy u(t)+(u(lambda+2)vertical bar u(xxx)vertical bar(lambda-1)u(xxx))(x) = 0, where u(x,t) represents the thickness of the one-dimensional liquid and lambda >1. We look for traveling wave solutions so that u(x,t) = g(x +ct) and thus g satisfies g''' = vertical bar g-epsilon vertical bar(1/lambda)/g(1+2/lambda)sgn(g-epsilon). We show that for each epsilon > 0 there is an infinitely oscillating solution, g(epsilon), such that lim(t ->infinity)g(epsilon)-epsilon and that g(epsilon)-> g(0), epsilon -> 0 wherer g(0) equivalent to 0 for t >= 0 and g(0) = c(lambda)vertical bar t vertical bar(3 lambda/2 lambda+1) for t > 0 for some constant c(lambda).

Laparoscopic surgery in the management of Crohn's disease

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease with surgery still frequently necessary in its treatment. Since the 1990's, laparoscopic surgery has become increasingly common for primary resections in patients with Crohn's disease and has now become the standard of care. Studies have shown no difference in recurrence rates when compared to open surgery and benefits include shorter hospital stay, lower rates of wound infection and decreased time to bowel function. This review highlights studies comparing the laparoscopic approach to the open approach in specific situations, including cases of complicated Crohn's disease.

Utility of the low-accelerating-dose regimen in 182 liver recipients with recurrent hepatitis C virus

AIM: To describe our experience using a low-acceleratingdose regimen(LADR) with pegylated interferon alpha-2a and ribavirin in treatment of hepatitis C virus(HCV) recurrence. METHODS: From 2003, a protocolized LADR strategy was employed to treat liver transplant(LT) recipients with recurrent HCV at our institution. Medical records of 182 adult patients with recurrent HCV treated with LADR between 1/2003 and 1/2011 were reviewed. Histopathology from all post-LT liver biopsies were reviewed in a blinded fashion. Paired recipient and donor IL28 B status were assessed. A novel technique was employed to ascertain recipient and donor IL28B(rs12979860) Gt data using DNA extracted from archival FFPE tissue from explanted native livers and donor gallbladders respectively. The primary endpoint was SVR; secondary endpoints examined include(1) patient and graft survival;(2) effect of anti-viral therapy on liver histology(fibrosis and inflammation);(3) incidence of on-treatment development of ACR, CDR, or PCH;(4) association of recipient and donor IL28 B genotype with SVR; and(5) incidence of antiviral therapy-associated adverse events(anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, depression) and hepatic ***: The overall SVR rate was 38%(29% Gt1, 67% Gt2, 86% Gt3 and 58% Gt4). HCV Gt(P < 0.0001), donor age(P = 0.003), cytomegalovirus mismatch(P = 0.001), baseline serum bilirubin(P = 0.002), and baseline viral load(P = 0.04) were independent predictors for SVR. SVR rates were significantly higher in the recipient-CC/donor-non CC pairs(P = 0.007). Neither baseline fibrosis nor change in fibrosis stage after anti-viral therapy were associated with SVR. Fibrosis progressed in 72% of patients despite SVR. Median graft survival was 91 mo. Five-year patient survival was superior in patients who achieved SVR(97% vs 82%, P = 0.001). Pre-treatment ALP ≥ 150 U/L(P = 0.01), total bilirubin ≥ 1.5 mg/d L(P = 0.001) and creatinine ≥ 2 mg/d L(P = 0.001) were independently associated

Many lifestyle factors can affect health, but nutrition is an important, modifiable, and powerful factor in promoting health, preventing and treating disease, and improving quality of life. Inadequate dietary intake, regardless of the cause, can have negative effects on human growth and development. Analysis of tuna “Garba” and rice with eggplant sauce consumed in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) revealed low levels of water-soluble B vitamins. Also, the analysis of these dishes observed the presence of histidine, leucine, valine, glutamine, arginine, cysteine and alanine. The tuna “Garba” (Gab) dish showed levels in amino acids ranging from 69.8 ± 1.33 to 764 ± 2.08 mg/kg and 77.1 ± 1.95 to 754.67 ± 2.8 mg/kg in the eggplant sauce rice (Risa) dish. During 15 days of consumption of these dishes by the wistar rats, anthropometric parameters, namely body length and abdominal circumference, showed a significant increase in the rats consuming the rice eggplant sauce. The rats showed BMI, Lee’s Index and Adipocyte Index ranged from 0.27 ± 0.01 to 0.31 ± 0.01 g/cm2;0.25 ± 0.01 to 0.26 ± 0.00 cm and 1.67% ± 0.25% to 1.96% ± 0.21% respectively. The nutritional profiling of these two street foods by lim and SAIN score presented poor profiles.
