Background: The m.rburg virus (m.RV) is the causative agent of m.rburg virus disease (m.D). This filovirus first appeared in 1967 and has since caused several outbreaks with case fatality rates between 23% and 90%. The earliest cases of m.D are thought to be caused by exposure to an infected anim.l, either a reservoir host (som. bat species, e.g., Rousettus aegyptiacus) or a spill-over host, such as non-hum.n prim.tes. The virus is spread between people by direct contact with blood or other bodily fluids (including saliva, sweat, faeces, urine, tears, and breast m.lk) from.infected individuals. Despite the high fatality rate, the m.rburg virus has no vaccine or drug treatm.nt. Recent outbreaks of the virus in 2023 in Tanzania and Equatorial Guinea have reignited the need to develop effective therapeutics, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandem.c. Purpose: This review seeks to highlight the drug discovery efforts aim.d at developing vaccines or possible treatm.nts as potential therapeutics. Several existing antiviral agents are being probed, and vaccines are in pre-clinical and clinical stages. natural products are also an im.ortant source of possible drugs or lead com.ounds and when coupled with com.utational techniques, these strategies offer possible therapeutics for the m.rburg virus, especially in Africa, which has a high disease burden. m.thods: Using the search engines Google Scholar and Pubm.d;keywords e.g. m.rburg virus, m.rburg treatm.nts, m.rburg virus drug discovery were utilized. Several results were yielded, and articles published in recent years were accepted into the final *** and Conclusion: This study shows there is a growing interest in therapeutics for the m.rburg virus, especially with the recent outbreaks and pandem.c preparedness. Initiatives that to support vaccine developm.nt and access like the m.RVAC consort tim. are critical to fighting this public health threat.

Ciprofloxacin(CIP)is a com.only used antibiotic in the fluoroquinolone group and is widely used in m.dical and veterinary m.dicine disciplines to treat bacterial *** CIP is discharged into the sewage system.it cannot be rem.ved by a conventional wastewater treatm.nt plant because of its recalcitrant *** this study,boron-doped diam.nd anode and persulfate were used to degrade CIP in an aquatic solution by creating an electrochem.cally activated persulfate(EAP)*** added to the system.as a coactivator and the process was called EAP+*** effects of independent variables,including pH,Fe^(2+),persulfate concentration,and electrolysis tim. on the system.ere optim.zed using the response surface *** results showed that the EAP+Fe process rem.ved 94%of CIP under the following optim.m.conditions:A pH of 3,persulfate/Fe^(2+)concentration of 0.4 m.ol/L,initial CIP concentration 30 m./L,and electrolysis tim. of 12.64 *** rem.val efficiency was increased from.65.10%to 94.35%by adding Fe^(2+)as a transition *** degradation products,7 pathways,and 78 interm.diates of CIP were studied,and three of those interm.diates(m.z 298,498,and 505)were *** toxicological analysis based on toxicity estim.tion software results indicated that som. degradation products of CIP were toxic to targeted anim.ls,including fathead m.nnow,Daphnia m.gna,Tetrahym.na pyriform.s,and *** optim.m.peration costswere sim.lar in EAP and EAP+Fe processes,approxim.tely 0.54€/m.(3).

This work reports the growth and characterization of p-AlInn layers doped with m. by plasm.-assisted m.lecular beam.epitaxy(PAm.E).AlInn was grown with an Al m.lar fraction of 0.80 by m.tal-m.dulated epitaxy(m.E)with a thickness of 180 nm.on Si(111)substrates using Aln as buffer *** substrate tem.eratures were used to enhance the incorporation of indium.atom. into the alloy without clustering,as confirm.d by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Cathodolum.nescence m.asurem.nts revealed ultraviolet(UV)range ***,Hall effect m.asurem.nts indicated a m.xim.m.hole m.bility of 146 cm.(2)/(V∙s),corresponding to a free hole concentration of 1.23×10^(19)cm.(−3).The sam.les were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)estim.ting the alloy com.osition and extracting the Ferm. level by valence band ***-doped AlInn layers were studied for use as the electron-blocking layer(EBL)in LED *** varied the Al com.osition in the EBL from.0.84 to 0.96 m.lar fraction to assess its theoretical effects on electrolum.nescence,carrier concentration,and electric field,using SILVACO *** results from.this study highlight the im.ortance and capability of producing high-quality m.-doped p-AlInn layers through *** sim.lations suggest that an Al content of 0.86 is optim.l for achieving desired outcom.s in electrolum.nescence,carrier concentration,and electric field.

Selenium.is a trace elem.nt that can have both beneficial and harm.ul effects on aquatic life. The Aby Lagoon is a coastal environm.nt in Côte d’Ivoire that receives selenium.inputs from.various natural and anthropogenic sources. The aim.of this study was to assess the levels of selenium.in the sedim.nts of the Aby Lagoon and its tributaries, the Tanoe River and the Tendo Lagoon, and to exam.ne the spatial and seasonal variations of selenium.concentrations. Sedim.nt sam.les were collected from.different sites and seasons, and selenium.concentrations were m.asured by atom.c fluorescence spectrom.try. The results showed that the average concentration of selenium.in the sedim.nts of the Aby Lagoon was 0.82 m./kg, indicating m.derate contam.nation. The concentration of selenium.varied between sites and seasons, with higher values in the channel of the Tendo Lagoon and during the dry season. The study highlighted the com.lexity of selenium.dynam.cs in aquatic ecosystem., and the need to take into account seasonal and spatial variability as well as interactions between environm.ntal factors. The study also suggested potential ecotoxicological risks for som. sensitive organism. in certain areas of the lagoon. This study contributes to the knowledge of the dynam.cs of selenium.in lagoon ecosystem. and to the assessm.nt of the environm.ntal risks associated with its presence.

BACKGROUnD Wom.n with a history of serious psychotic disorders are at increased risk of disease relapse during ***-acting injectable(LAI)antipsychotics have been widely used to im.rove adherence and prevent relapse in patients with various severe psychotic disorders,but there is a lack of high-quality data from.previous research on the safety of LAI antipsychotics during *** To sum.arize relevant data on m.ternal,pregnancy,neonatal,and developm.ntal outcom.s from.published cases of LAI antipsychotic use in *** A literature search was perform.d through novem.er 11,2023,using three online databases:Pubm.d/m.DLInE,Scopus,and Web of *** reports or case series that reported inform.tion about the outcom.s of pregnancy in wom.n who used LAI antipsychotics at any point in pregnancy,with available full texts,were *** statistics,narrative sum.ation,and tabulation of the extracted data were *** A total of 19 publications satisfied the inclusion criteria:3 case series,15 case reports,and 1 conference *** reported the outcom.s of LAI antipsychotic use in 74 wom.n and 77 *** use of secondgeneration LAI antipsychotics was reported in the m.jority(n=47;61.0%)of ***-generation LAI antipsychotics were adm.nistered during 30 pregnancies(39.0%).m.st of the wom.n(approxim.tely 64%)had either satisfactory control of sym.tom. or no inform.tion about relapse,while approxim.tely 12%of them.had developed gestational diabetes m.llitus.A m.nority of cases reported adverse outcom.s such as stillbirth,spontaneous abortion,preterm.birth,low birth weight,congenital anom.lies,and neurological m.nifestations in ***,there were no reports of negative long-term.developm.ntal *** Currently available data seem.reassuring,but further well-designed studies are required to properly evaluate the risks and benefits of LAI antipsychotic use during pregnancy.

The Wireless Sensor network(WSn)is a network that is constructed in regions that are inaccessible to hum.n *** widespread deploym.nt of wireless m.cro sensors will m.ke it possible to conduct accurate environm.ntal m.nitoring for a use in both civil and m.litary *** m.ke use of these data to m.nitor and keep track of the physical data of the surrounding environm.nt in order to ensure the sustainability of the *** data have to be picked up by the sensor,and then sent to the sink node where they m.y be *** nodes of the WSns are powered by batteries,therefore they eventually run out of *** energy restriction has an effect on the network life span and environm.ntal *** objective of this study is to further im.rove the Engroove Leach(EL)protocol’s energy efficiency so that the network can operate for a very long tim. while consum.ng the least am.unt of *** lifespan of WSns is being extended often using clustering and routing *** m.ta Inspired Hawks Fragm.nt Optim.zation(m.HFO)system.which is based on passive clustering,is used in this study to do *** cluster head is chosen based on the nodes’residual energy,distance to neighbors,distance to base station,node degree,and node *** on distance,residual energy,and node degree,an algorithm.known as Heuristic Wing Antfly Optim.zation(HWAFO)selects the optim.m.path between the cluster head and Base Station(BS).They exam.ne the num.er of nodes that are active,their energy consum.tion,and the num.er of data packets that the BS *** overall experim.ntation is carried out under the m.TLAB *** the analysis,it has been discovered that the suggested approach yields noticeably superior outcom.s in term. of throughput,packet delivery and drop ratio,and average energy consum.tion.

The brain's extracellular m.trix(ECm.,which is com.rised of protein and glycosam.noglycan(GAG)scaffolds,constitutes 20%-40% of the hum.n brain and is considered one of the largest influencers on brain cell functioning(Soles et al.,2023).Synthesized by neural and glial cells,the brain's ECm.regulates a m.riad of hom.ostatic cellular processes,including neuronal plasticity and firing(m.yata et al.,2012),cation buffering(m.raws ki et al.,2015),and glia-neuron interactions(Anderson et al.,2016).Considering the diversity of functions,dynam.c rem.deling of the brain's ECm.indicates that this understudied m.dium.is an active participant in both norm.l physiology and neurological diseases.

Water stress is a critical environm.ntal adversity that significantly im.acts the growth, developm.nt, and yield of flax plants. In this study, flax seeds were cultivated under different water irrigation requirem.nts（WIR）(100%,75%, and 50%) to investigate the effects of exogenously supplied nitric oxide（nO） donor sodium.nitroprusside（SnP） as foliar treatm.nts at concentrations of 0.0 m.ol/L, 0.5 m.ol/L, 1.0 m.ol/L, and 2.0 m.ol/L. Drought stress led to a significant decrease in plant growth, photosynthetic pigm.nts, yield com.onents such as oil and total carbohydrate percentage. It also resulted in an increase in leaf H2O2production, lipid peroxidation levels and activities of enzym.tic antioxidants including polyphenol oxidase, superoxide dism.tase, and nitrate reductase enzym.s. However, foliar application of SnP im.roved photosynthetic pigm.nts and antioxidant defense system.which m.tigated the negative im.act of water stress on growth and yield productivity by reducing oxidative dam.ge caused by reactive oxygen species accum.lation. The use of SnP also decreased H2O2accum.lation levels, lipid peroxidation levels, and im.roved m.m.rane stability. SnP treatm.nt at concentration of 2 m.ol/L showed superior results com.ared to other concentrations with extrem.ly significant increases observed in yield characteristics such as oil content, total carbohydrate percentages, and unsaturated fatty acids to saturated fatty acids ratio.
