Recent advances and opportunities in mXene-based liquid crystals

The recent progress on the liquid crystalline(LC)dispersion of two-dimensional(2D)transition metal carbides(mXenes)has propelled this unique nanomaterial into a realm of high-performance architectures,such as films and ***ally,compared to architectures made from typical non-LC dispersions,those derived from LC mXene possess tunable ion transport routes and enhanced conductivity and physical properties,demonstrating great potential for a wide range of applications,such as electronic displays,smart glasses,and thermal camouflage *** review provides an overview of the progress achieved in the production and processing of LC mXenes,including critical discussions on satisfying the required conditions for LC *** also highlights how acquiring LC mXenes has broadened the current solution-based manufacturing paradigm of mXene-based architectures,resulting in unprecedented performances in their conventional applications(e.g.,energy storage and strain sensing)and in their emerging uses(e.g.,tribology).Opportunities for innovation and foreseen challenges are also discussed,offering future research directions on how to further benefit from the exciting potential of LC mXenes with the aim of promoting their widespread use in designing and manufacturing advanced materials and applications.

In this paper, we report a simple and facile self-assembly method to successfully fabricate cationic metal porphyrin-mtTmPyP(mt= Cobalt(Ⅱ), manganese(Ⅲ), or Iron(Ⅲ); TmPyP = 5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis(N-methylpyridinium-4-yl) porphyrin) intercalated into the layer of graphene oxide(GO) by the cooperative effects of electrostatic and π-π stacking interaction between positively charged metal porphyrin and negatively charged GO sheets. Followed by reduction with hydrazine vapor, a series of novel 2 D mtTmPyP/rGO_n were fabricated. The as-prepared 2 D hybrids were fully characterized and tested as non-noble metal catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) in an alkaline medium. The mtTmPyP/rGO_n hybrids, especially CoTmPyP/rGO_5, demonstrated an improved electrocatalytic activity for ORR and a number of exchanged electrons close to 4-electron reaction, increased stability and excellent tolerance to methanol, showing a potential alternative catalyst for ORR in fuel cells and air batteries.

Synthesis of nitrogen-sulfur co-doped Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx mXene with enhanced electrochemical properties

Through material innovation,nanoscale structural design and hybrid manufacturing methods,great efforts have been made in developing high-performance energy storage *** devices can be comprised of twodimensional(2D)nanomaterials,such as mXene,and show promise for use in energy storage *** order to achieve better electrochemical properties of mXene,one crucial technique is to modify its structure by introducing defects or heteroatom dopants,which may expand the interlayer spacing and increase the ion transfer kinetics during the charge/discharge ***,a modified two-step multi-element strategy is explored utilizing ammonium citrate as intercalant and nitrogen source to enhance the level of heteroatom doping during annealing of mXene with *** resulting nitrogen/sulfur co-doped mXene displayed enhanced gravimetric capacitance(495 F g^(-1) at 1 A g^(-1)),outstanding rate capability(180 F g^(-1) at 10 A g^(-1))and excellent cycle stability(98%retention after 6000 charge/discharge cycles).The synthesis of NS-mXene reveals a novel and facile multiheteroatom pathway for functionalizing Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx mXene and demonstrates the potential variety of this family of modified mXenes that has yet to be explored,as well as unveils great promise for use in applications such as high performance supercapacitors.

mXene coupled with molybdenum dioxide nanoparticles as 2D-0D pseudocapacitive electrode for high performance flexible asymmetric micro-supercapacitors

Recently,two-dimensional(2D)transition metal carbides and carbonitrides(mXenes),have shown great potential in micro-supercapacitors(mSCs).However,the maximum voltage output of symmetric mXene mSCs is limited to 0.6 V due to the oxidation effects at high anodic ***,we developed asymmetric micro-supercapacitors(AmSCs)based on titanium carbide mXene(Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx)and mXene-moO_(2) electrodes with an enlarged voltage window of 1.2 V,which is twice wider than that of symmetric mXene *** 2D-0D mXene-moO_(2) microelectrode is fabricated by homogenous dispersing zerodimensional(0D)moO_(2) nanoparticles into mXene layers to impede layers stacking and moO_(2) nanoparticles ***,the AmSCs delivered good electrochemical performances of areal capacitance of ~19 mF cm^(-2) and volumetric capacitance of 63 F cm^(-3) at a scan rate of 2 mV s^(-1),and high energy density of 9.7 mW h cm^(-3) at a power density of 0.198 W cm^(-3).The AmSCs also presented exceptionally mechanical flexibility under different bending states and excellent cyclic stability,with 88% capacitance retention after 10000 cycles at a discharge current density of 0.5 mA cm^(-2).For practical application,the serially connected AmSCs are fully affordable to power electronics,which is beneficial for soft and wearable power devices.

Synthesis,Structural and Optical Properties of mn-Doped Ceria Nanoparticles:A Promising Catalytic material

The structure,the morphology and the thermal,optical and the surface properties of nanocrystalline CeO_2 doped with mn have been studied by X-ray diffraction（XRD）,field-emission transmission electron microscopy（FE-TEm）,energy-dispersive X-ray analysis,thermogravimetric analysis,UV–Vis absorption spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared *** XRD results confirmed the successful incorporation of mn into the CeO_2 lattice through the formation of nanoscale face-centered cubic solid *** FE-TEm observations supported the nanocrystalline nature of the solid *** presence of structural defects and their role on the band gap have been discussed on the basis of absorption spectral *** structural differences correlate with results from temperature-programmed reaction（TPR）experiments with H_2 *** TPR measurements showed an enhanced bulk reduction at much lower temperatures,indicating increased oxygen mobility in the samples,which enable to enhanced oxygen diffusion at lower temperatures.

为探讨中不同波段的光合有效辐射对钝顶螺旋藻(Arthrospira platensis)形态、生长及光合作用的影响,实验将钝顶螺旋藻D-0083藻液转入带塞的石英管中,石英管水平置于阳光下并在其上覆盖不同的截止型和带通型滤光片,以使藻丝接受不同波段的太阳辐射;并检测其生长、形态与光合活动的变化。结果发现:所有波段(320—500、395—700、510—700和610—700 nm)光合有效辐射下的藻丝均螺旋变紧且生物量增加。其中以包含少量紫外辐射A(Ultraviolet-A)的蓝光波段(320—500 nm)和红光波段(600—700 nm)对藻丝形态变化、生长及光合速率的诱发效率较高。在320—500、395—700、510—700和610—700 nm波段上的单位能量光照引起钝顶螺旋藻螺距变化的效率分别为0.070、0.015、0.021、0.045μm/(W·m^2)。波段320—500 nm虽然会轻微抑制钝顶螺旋藻D-0083的有效光化学效率(Fv′/Fm′)、电子传递速率(ETR)和藻蓝蛋白的荧光发射,但是却能够有效诱导其藻丝变紧促进生长。此外,钝顶螺旋藻D-0083的藻丝变紧程度、比生长速率变化与不同波段太阳辐射下藻丝体的光合性能相一致。该研究表明任何波段的光合有效辐射都能使螺旋藻藻丝螺旋变紧并引发生长和光合作用,其中以蓝光和红光的效率最高。

modeling and Simulation of Textile Supply Chain through Colored Petri Nets

The purpose of this paper is to describe the business process modeling and simulation of a textile supply chain using Colored Petri nets. Our model takes into account both the source process and delivery logistics that exist between any two members of supply chain;moreover, we model other activities performed by the company such as manufacturing clothing. The model has been built to acquire a better understanding about the behavior of a textile company in the fulfillment of requests from costumers. The model has been built using CPN Tools. This model was built with modules for activities of the supply chain textile, e.g. receiving orders of customers, determination of production plan, procurement raw material, transportation of raw material, production and delivering products to customers. This modularized model offers some advantages to represent complex supply chains according to their structure and requirements. Thus, we can add modules easily depending on the necessary activities.
