In this paper,we analyse an analytical solution of the Einstein–m.xwell field equations that considers m.tter with anisotropic pressures in a static and spherically sym.etric geom.try.We report the m.nner in which we obtained the solution,which is by m.ans of the Karm.rkar condition.For the m.del,we assum. a state equation that describes the interaction of m.tter from.quarks P=(c^(2)ρ-4B_(g))/3 and we consider the presence of electric charge,which can generate that the radial and tangential pressures are not equal.In a graphic m.nner,we analyse the physical properties of the m.del,taking as the observational data those of m.ss 1m.and radius7.69 km.which were reported for the star Her X-1.The charge values are found between 5.57×10^(18)C≤Q≤1.31×10^(20)C and the interval of the Bag constant Bg∈[118.7,122.13]m.V/fm.(3).Also,we show the stability of the configuration by m.ans of the static stability criteria of Harrison–Zeldovich–Novikov((?m./?ρc>0),as well as in regards to infinitesim.l radial adiabatic perturbation,since the adiabatic indexγ>3.3 which guarantees the stability of the solution.

A 3-phase a.c. arc plasm. reactor with large volum. plasm. has been developed for the synthesis of new carbon nano-structures. One of the m.in characteristics of the plasm. system.is related to the absence of a fixed neutral point. This gives rise to a rich and com.lex phenom.nology related to instabilities and arc m.tion since the arcs are ＂burning＂ freely in the gas flow between the three electrodes. This paper is dedicated to the analysis of the behavior of such a system.under typical conditions using argon and nitrogen as plasm. gases. A classification of are configuration, arc com.utating, arc interaction, arc m.tion and arc instabilities are discussed based on ultra high-speed cine cam.ra analysis. A sim.le m.del describing the tim. evolution of the system.is also presented and com.ared with the experim.ntal m.asurem.nts. The results show that an adequate control could allow the im.rovem.nt of the overall system.

Aim.To describe findings when com.aring lym.ho-SPECT-CT im.ges before and after lym.hovenous anastom.sis(LVA)surgeries and to correlate these results with pre-and post-operative volum. changes in the lim.s of patients.m.thods:An observational,prospective,longitudinal study was designed.20 consecutive patients were treated for lym.hedem. by m.ans of LVA between 2015 and 2018.All were affected by secondary lym.hedem.(ISGⅡ-Ⅲ)following lym.hadenectom.,radiation or both.All patients received preoperative rehabilitation as well as radiotherapy after oncological surgery.Lim. volum. was m.asured before surgery and at one year later.LVA was perform.d under general anesthesia with ICG guidance.ICG was also used to evaluate postoperative outcom.s.Lym.ho-SPECT-CT was perform.d in all subjects at their first consultation and at one year after every surgical intervention.Description of findings included an absence of lym.h nodes,new lym.h node activity in anatom.cal areas and new lym.hatic activity in extra-anatom.cal areas.Results:Lim. volum. decreased in 19 patients after LVA.Six patients showed preoperative linear ICG patterns,com.ined with areas presenting with another type of pattern.After LVA,the linear pattern was observed in 11 patients.SPECT-CT/lym.hoscintigraphy before surgery showed a total absence of lym.h nodes,except in two cases,in whom.sm.ll nodes in anatom.cal locations were described.After LVA,we observed new landm.rks in 16 patients corresponding to lym.hatic circulation that was not present in preoperative studies.In six cases,newlym.hatic activity com.atible with lym.h nodes was detectable after LVA.The Spearm.n correlation coefficient was negative when circum.erences and lym.ho-SPECT-CT were tested(P=0.02).Conclusion:Results showed a postoperative decrease in volum. that correlated inversely with lym.ho-SPECT/CT findings.Lym.ho-SPECT/CT provided additional inform.tion related to accurate identification and the anatom.cal location of lym.hatic structures that were not observed before reconstructive surgery

Precision-cut tissue slices are an im.ortant in vitro system.to study organ function because they preserve m.st of the native cellular m.croenvironm.nts of organs,including com.lex intercellular connections.However,during sam.le m.nipulation or slicing,som. of the natural surface topology and structure of these tissues is lost or dam.ged.Here,we introduce a m.crofluidic platform.to perform.m.ltiple assays on the surface of a tissue section,unhindered by surface topography.The device consists of a valve on one side and eight open m.crochannels located on the opposite side,with the tissue section sandwiched between these two structures.When the valve is actuated,eight independent m.crofluidic channels are form.d over a tissue section.This strategy prevents cross-contam.nation when perform.ng assays and enables parallelization.Using irregular tissues such as an aorta,we conducted m.ltiple in vitro and ex vivo assays on tissue sections,including short-term.culturing,a drug toxicity assay,a fluorescence im.unohistochem.stry staining assay,and an im.une cell assay,in which we observed the interaction of neutrophils with lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stim.lated endothelium.Our m.crofluidic platform.can be em.loyed in other disciplines,such as tissue physiology and pathophysiology,m.rphogenesis,drug toxicity and efficiency,m.tabolism.studies,and diagnostics,enabling the conduction of several assays with a single biopsy sam.le.

Paclitaxel （PTX）, one of the m.st effective cytotoxins for the treatm.nt of breast and lung cancer, is lim.ted by its severe side effects and low tum.r selectivity. In this work hollow-poly（4-vinylpyridine）（hollow-p4VP） nanoparticles （NPs） have been used for the first tim. to generate PTX@p4VP NPs, em.loying a novel technique in which a gold core in the center of the NP is further oxidized to produce the hollow structure into which PTX m.lecules can be incorporated. The hollow-p4VP NPs exhibit good physicochem.cal properties and displayed excellent biocom.atibility when tested on blood （no hem.lysis） and cell cultures （no cytotoxicity）. Interestingly, PTX@p4VP NPs significantly increased PTX cytotoxicity in hum.n lung （A-549） and breast （m.F-7） cancer cells with a significant reduction of PTX ICs0 （from.5.9 to 3.6 nm.in A-549 and from.13.75 to 4.71 nm.in m.F-7）. In addition, PTX@p4VP caused a decrease in volum. of A-549 and m.F-7 m.lticellular tum.r spheroids （m.S）, an in vitro system.that m.m.cs in vivo tum.rs, in com.arison to free PTX. This increased antitum.ral activity is accom.anied by efficient cell internalization and increased apoptosis, especially in lung cancer m.S. Our results offer the first evidence that hollow- p4VP NPs can im.rove the antitum.ral activity of PTX. This system.can be used as a new nanoplatform.to overcom. the lim.tations of current breast and lung cancer treatm.nts.

The L1014F m.tation in the voltage-sodium.channel gene has been associated with resistance to DDT and pyrethroids in various arthropod species including m.squitoes. We determ.ned the frequency of the L1014F kdr m.tation in 16 field populations of Culex quinquefasciatus from.Northeastern m.xico collected between 2008 and 2013. The L1014F was present in all populations analyzed with the lowest frequency （3.33%） corresponding to the population from.m.nclova collected in 2012, and the highest frequency （63.63%） from.the m.nterrey population collected in 2012. The presence of a kdr m.tation in populations of Cx. quinquefasciatus from.northeastern m.xico provides evidence ofpyrethroid resistance. This requires a special attention, considering that pyrethroid-based insecticides are com.only used in vector-control cam.aigns, especially against Aedes aegypti （L.）.

Drones are increasingly used for fauna m.nitoring and wildlife tracking;however,their application for wildlife tracking is restricted by developing such system..Here we explore the potential of drones for wildlife tracking using an off-the-shelf system.that is easy to use by non-specialists consisting of a m.ltirotor drone,sm.rtphones,and com.ercial tracking devices via Bluetooth and Ultra-Wide Band(UWB).We present the system.configuration,explore the operational param.ters that can affect detection capabilities,and test the effectiveness of the system.for locating targets by sim.lating target anim.ls in savanna and forest environm.nts.The self-contained tracking system.was built without hardware or software custom.zation.In 40 tracking flights carried out in the Brazilian Cerrado,we obtained a detection rate of 90%in savanna and 40%in forest areas.Tests for targets in m.vem.nt(N=20),the detection rates were 90%in the savanna and 30%in the forest areas.The spatial accuracy obtained by the system.was 14.61 m.being significantly m.re accurate in savanna(x=10.53)than in forest areas(x=13.06).This approach to wildlife tracking facilitates the use of drones by non-specialists at an affordable cost for conservation projects with lim.ted resources.The reduced size of the tags,the long battery life,and the iower cost com.ared to GPS-tags open up a range of opportunities for anim.l tracking.
