Burden of bone disease in chronic pancreatitis:A systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUNd Bone disease is an under-recognized cause of morbidity in chronic pancreatitis(CP).Over the past decade,publications of original studies on bone disease in CP has warranted synthesis of the evidence to ascertain the true burden of the *** To quantify the prevalence of osteopenia,osteoporosis,and fragility fractures in CP patients and investigate the associated clinical features and *** A systematic search identified studies investigating bone disease in CP patients from Cochrane Library,Embase,Google Scholar,Ovid Medline,PubMed,Scopus,and Web of Science,from inception until October *** outcomes included prevalence of osteopenia,osteoporosis,and fragility fractures,which were metaanalyzed using a random-effects model and underwent metaregression to delineate association with baseline clinical *** Twenty-one studies were included for systematic review and 18 studies were included for *** pooled prevalence of osteopenia and osteoporosis in CP patients was 41.2%(95%CI:35.2%-47.3%)and 20.9%(95%CI:14.9%-27.6%),*** pooled prevalence of fragility fractures described among CP was 5.9%(95%CI:3.9%-8.4%).Metaregression revealed significant association of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy(PERT)use with prevalence of osteoporosis[coefficient:1.7(95%CI:0.6-2.8);Pd no associations with mean age,sex distribution,body mass index,alcohol or smoking exposure,diabetes with prevalence of osteopenia,osteoporosis or fragility *** of data on systemic inflammation,CP severity,and bone mineralization parameters precluded a formal *** This meta-analysis confirms significant bone disease in patients with *** than PERT use,we observed no patient or study-specific factor to be significantly associated with CP-related bone *** studies are needed to identify confounders,at-risk population,and to understand the mechanisms of CP-related bone disease an

Estimation of Higher Heating Value for MSW Using dSVM and BSOA

In recent decades,the generation of Municipal Solid Waste(MSW)is steadily increasing due to urbanization and technological *** col-lection and disposal of municipal solid waste cause considerable environmental degradation,making MSW management a global ***-to-energy(WTE)using thermochemical process has been identiﬁed as the key solution in this *** evaluating many automated Higher Heating Value(HHV)predic-tion approaches,an Optimal deep Learning-based HHV Prediction(OdL-HHVP)model for MSW management has been *** objective of the OdL-HHVP model is to forecast the HHV of municipal solid waste,based on its oxy-gen,water,hydrogen,carbon,nitrogen,sulphur and ash *** addition,the OdL-HHVP model contains a deep Support Vector Machine(dSVM)regres-sion component that can accurately predict the *** addition,the Beetle Swarm Optimization(BSO)method is utilised as a hyperparameter optimizer in conjunction with the dSVM model,resulting in the highest HHV prediction accu-racy.A comprehensive simulation study is conducted to validate the performance of the OdL-HHVP *** Multiple Linear Regression(MLR),Genetic Pro-gramming(GP),Resilient backpropagation(RP),Levenberg Marquardt(LM)and dSVM approaches have attained an ineffective result with RMSEs of 4.360,2.870,3.590,3.100 and 3.050,*** experimentalﬁndings demon-strate that the OdL-HHVP technique outperforms existing state-of-art technolo-gies in a variety of respects.

Contributions to data transmission at critical moments on unmanned aerial vehicles

As for unmanned aircraft, the knowledge of the aircraft performance is directly related with the navigation, guidance, and control system programming. Therefore, the measured data in each phase of the flight must be sufficiently precise to obtain a good characterization of *** article proposes new methods of sending information to ground, which make it possible to know the aircraft behavior accurately, and for this purpose, four contributions have been made for ALO(Avión Ligero de Observación, Spanish acronym for Light Observation Aircraft). Currently, the characterization is based on data obtained at ten samples per second, insufficient to acquire detailed knowledge of what happened during the whole flight of an aircraft. As a result of these contributions, many more samples per second of accelerations and angular velocities are obtained at the most critical moments of the flight, such as takeoff or landing. Among the improvements included are data compression techniques, providing references to locate the measured data in time and identifying labels of each parameter.

Implicit Continuous User Authentication for Mobile devices based on deep Reinforcement Learning

Soil properties characterization for land-use planning and soil management in watersheds under family farming

Environmental monitoring of small,rural watersheds was one of the components of the Natural Re-sources Management and Rural Poverty Alleviation Program(RS-Rural)in southern *** purpose of the monitoring was to assess the impact of promoting soil conservation and environment manage-ment practices adopted by farmers and funded by the *** four small monitored watersheds,in a total of 95 plots representing distinct land use and soil management,surface soil was collected to characterize ground-zero of the Program by determining several soil physical,chemical and microbio-logical *** component analysis(PCA)shows soil physical,chemical and biological properties were decisive in defining the agricultural soils in the rural watersheds with family *** sensitivity to chemical properties provides an opportunity to improve soil quality if soil management focuses on altering those *** management practiced by tobacco farmers leads to rapid,intense degradation of some natural soil properties,especially those related to the dynamics of soil organic matter,compared with more conservationist uses(forest,regrowth,and grassland).Thus,soil management must be reoriented to avoid the progress of degradation and recover soil physical and biological *** crops and by land-abandonment to allow natural vegetation are important management strategies for the degraded soils used for tobacco production,increasing soil organic matter,nutrients and microbial activity and thus allowing further crop *** conclusion,wa-tersheds with tobacco cropping have soils with lower quality than when under no-tillage grain pro-duction,requiring changes in land use and soil management.

The study of the recent colonization of a symbiont and its interaction with host communities in new locations is an opportunity to understand how they *** use of isotopic ratios in trophic ecology can provide measurements of a species'isotopic niche,as well as knowledge about how the isotopic niches between symbiont and host species *** isotope measurements were used to assess the sources of carbon assimilated by the host species(the bivalves Mytilus galloprovincialis and Scrobicularia plana)and their associated symbiont pea crab Afropinnotheres monodi,which occurs within these bivalves'mantle *** mixing model estimates suggest that all of them assimilate carbon from similar sources,particularly from pseudofaeces and particulate organic matter in this symbiotic system based on filter *** symbiotic species occupy comparable trophic levels and its association seems to be commensal or parasitic depending on the duration of such *** pea crab *** reflects a sex-specific diet,where males are more generalist than the soft females because the latter's habitat is restricted to the host *** high isotopic overlap between soft females and *** may reflect a good commensal relationship with the host.

Ni-based catalysts obtained from perovskites oxides for ethanol steam reforming

Perovskites as host structures of cations were used in order to generate in situ active and stable catalysts for ethanol steam reforming. For this purpose,La_(1-x)Mg_xAl_(1-y)Ni_yO_3(x = 0.1; y = 0,0.1,0.2,0.3) perovskites were synthetized by the citrate *** segregation is evident for a substitution level higher than 0. 2. The segregation of Ni as NiO generated species interacts with different metal-support after the reduction step. The y = 0.1 catalyst presents the highest H_2 yield value about 85% during reaction time,with low mean values of CH_4 and CO selectivities of 3.4% and 11%,respectively and a low carbon formation. The better performance of y = 0.1 catalyst could be attributed to the minor proportion of segregated phases,thus a controlled expulsion of Ni is successfully reached.
