Experimental determinations of Newton’s gravitational constant, Big G, have increased, in number and precision, during the last 30 years. There is, however, a persistent discrepancy between various authors. After examining some literature proposing that the differences in Big G might be a function of the length of the day along the years, this paper proposes an alternative hypothesis in which the periodicity of said variation is a function of the relative periodicity of the Sun-Earth distance. The hypothesis introduced here becomes a direct application of the Kerr Metric that describes a massive rotating star. The Kerr solution for the equations of the General Theory of Relativity of Albert Einstein fits well with this relative periodicity and adequately predicts the arrangement of the ex-perimental G values reported by sixteen different laboratories. Also, the author explains how the Sun disturbs gravity on the surface of the Earth.

liver transplantation(lT) is the only potentially curative treatment for selected patients with cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) who are not candidates for resection. When the Milan criteria are strictly applied, 75% to85%of 3-to 4-year actuarial survival rates are achieved, but up to 20% of the patients experience HCC recurrence after transplantation. The Milan criteria are based on the preoperative tumor macromorphology, tumor size and number on computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging that neither correlate well with posttransplant histological study of the liver explant nor accurately predict HCC recurrence after lT, since they do not include objective measures of tumor biology. Preoperative biological markers, including alpha-fetoprotein, desgamma-carboxiprothrombin or neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and platelet-tolymphocyte ratio, can predict the risk for HCC recurrence after *** biomarkers have been proposed as surrogate markers of tumor differentiation and vascular invasion, with varied risk magnitudes depending on the defined cutoffs. Different studies have shown that the combination of one or several biomarkers integrated into prognostic models predict the risk of HCC recurrence after lT more accurately than Milan criteria alone. light coming from remote galaxies is redshifted and it is accepted that redshifts are produced by every galaxy running away from each other in a particular manner. According to this theory,le="font-family:Verdana;">le="font-family:Verdana;">le="font-family:Verdana;"> galaxies can be grouped by the distance to earth in four spaces: the closer ones with no acceleration, the next ones with acceleration, the next remote ones with deceleration, and the farther ones without characterization. All that complexity is disregarded in this paper by assuming that the photons are ruled by longitudinal and transverse gravitational potentials. These relativistic invariant potentials create coherence quantum states of energy and subsequently the light redshift is created by photons moving down across those energetical levels.

Fiber optic sensors have a set of properties that make them very attractive in biomechanics. However, they remain unknown to many who work in the field. Some possible causes are scarce information, few research groups using them in a routine basis, and even fewer companies offering turnkey and affordable solutions. Nevertheless, as optical fibers revolutionize the way of carrying data in telecommunications, a similar trend is detectable in the world of sensing. The present review aims to describe the most relevant contributions of fiber sensing in biomechanics since their introduction, from 1960s to the present, focusing on intensity-based configurations. An effort has been made to identify key researchers, research and development （R＆D） groups and main applications.

Occult hepatitis B infection(OBI) is characterized by hepatitis B virus(HBV) DNA in serum in the absence of hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg) presenting HBsAg-negative and anti-HBc positive serological *** HBV status is associated in some cases with mutant viruses undetectable by HBsAg assays;but more frequently it is due to a strong suppression of viral replication and gene *** is an entity with world-wide *** failure to detect HBsAg,despite the persistence of the viral DNA,is due in most cases to the strong suppression of viral replication and gene expression that characterizes this"occult"HBV infection;although the mechanisms responsible for suppression of HBV are not well *** majority of OBI cases are secondary to overt HBV infection and represent a residual low viremia level suppressed by a strong immune response together with histological derangements which occurred during acute or chronic HBV *** evidence suggests that it can favour the progression of liver fibrosis and the development of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective:To isolate,purify,and characterize gossypol from the fruits of Thespesia populnea(l)*** Correa,test its antidermatophytic activity,identify its targets on the dermatophyte,and confirm the binding of gossypol with the fungal target by molecular docking ***:Gossypol from Thespesia populnea was characterized by high performance liquid chromatography,liquid chromatographmass spectrometry,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and nuclear magnetic *** anti-dermatophytic activity of gossypol was tested against four different dermatophytes,*** mentagrophytes,Trichophyton rubrum,Microsporum canis,and Microsporum *** mentagrophytes was selected for further *** inhibitory mode of action of gossypol on Trichophyton mentagrophytes was determined by analyzing the modulation of gene expression in various pathways of the ***:Gossypol inhibited all the *** minimum inhibitory concentrations were 12.5μg/ml for Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Microsporum canis and 25μg/ml for Trichophyton rubrum and Microsporum *** minimum fungicidal concentrations were 50μg/ml for Trichophyton mentagrophytes,100μg/ml for Microsporum canis and Trichophyton rubrum,and 200μg/ml for Microsporum *** inhibited the mRNA expression of metalloprotease(MEP4)and isocitrate lyase(ICl).The binding of gossypol with the enzymes was confirmed by molecular docking *** best docking poses were found and the low binding energies were recorded with the two target ***:Gossypol is a potential antifungal agent and can be further explored as an anti-dermatophytic drug.

Bacterial wilt caused by the soil-borne plant pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum is a devastating disease *** plant colonization,*** replicates massively,causing plant wilting and death;collapsed infected tissues then serve as a source of *** this work,we show that the plant metabolic pathway mediated by pyruvate decarboxylases(PDCs)contributes to plant tolerance to bacterial wilt *** and tomato plants resp ond to *** infection by in creasing PDC activity,and plants with deficient PDC activity are more susceptible to bacterial *** with either pyruvic acid or acetic acid(substrate and product of the PDC pathway,respectively)enhances plant tolerance to bacterial wilt *** effector protein secreted by ***,RipAK,interacts with PDCs and inhibits their oligomerization and enzymatic ***,our work reveals a metabolic pathway involved in plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses,and a bacterial virulence strategy to promote disease and the completion of the pathogenic life cycle.
