Star clusters were historically considered sim.le stellar populations,with all stars sharing the sam. age and initial chem.cal ***,the presence of chem.cal anom.lies in globular clusters(GCs),called m.ltiple stellar populations(m.s),has challenged star form.tion theories in dense *** studies show that m.ss,m.tallicity,and age are likely controlling param.ters for the m.nifestation of *** the lim.t between clusters with/without m.s in physical param.ter space is crucial to reveal the driving m.chanism.behind their *** this study,we look for m. signals in Whiting 1,which is traditionally considered a young *** the m.gellan telescope,we obtained low-resolution spectra withinλλ=3850-5500?for eight giants of Whiting *** m.asured the C and N abundances from.the CN and CH spectral indices.C and N abundances have variations com.arable with their m.asurem.nt errors(~0.1 dex),suggesting that m.s are absent from.Whiting *** these findings with literature studies,we propose a lim.t in the m.tallicity *** com.actness index param.ter space,which relatively clearly separates star clusters with/without m.s(GCs/open clusters).This lim.t is physically *** a larger scale,the galactic environm.nt determ.nes cluster com.actness and m.tallicity,leading to m.tal-rich,diffuse,old clusters form.d ex *** proposed lim.t also im.acts our understanding of the form.tion of the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy:star clusters form.d after the first starburst(age≤8-10 Gyr).These clusters are sim.le stellar populations because the enriched galactic environm.nt is no longer suitable for m. form.tion.

Bats are the second-m.st diverse group of m.m.als in the world,and bat flies are their m.in ***,significant knowledge gaps rem.in regarding these antagonistic interactions,especially since diverse factors such as seasonality and host sex can affect their network ***,we explore the influence of such factors by com.aring species richness and com.osition of bat flies on host bats,as well as specialization and m.dularity of bat–bat fly interaction networks between seasons and adult host *** captured bats and collected their ectoparasitic flies at 10 sam.ling sites in the savannahs of Am.páState,northeastern region of the Brazilian *** fem.le bats being m.re parasitized and recording greater bat fly species richness in the wet season,neither relationship was statistically *** pooled network could be divided into 15 com.artm.nts with 54 links,and all subnetworks com.rised>12 *** total num.er of links ranged from.27 to 48(for the dry and wet seasons,respectively),and fem.le and m.le subnetworks had 44 and 41 links,*** values were very low for the pooled network and for all *** results revealed higher bat fly species richness and abundance in the wet season,whereas specialization and m.dularity were higher in the dry ***,the subnetwork for fem.le bats displayed higher specialization and m.dularity than the m.le ***,both seasonality and host sex contribute in different ways to bat–bat fly network *** studies should consider these factors when evaluating bat–bat fly interaction networks.

CO₂ Transform.tion at Controlled Tem.erature with Lithium.Hydroxide Solution and m.tallic Lithium

This paper presents a study on CO2 atm.spheric transform.tion which was reacted directly with lithium.hydroxide solution and m.tallic lithium. This solution was obtained through the reaction between m.tallic lithium.and deionized water where hydrogen is produced and by exposing the m.tal at am.ient conditions. In the transform.tion process, atm.spheric CO2 gas reacts directly with LiOH solution, in both cases, the CO2 transform.tion kinetics was different. For this purpose, reactions between CO2 and LiOH solution were carried out under controlled tem.erature and the second process only with m.tallic lithium. which was exposed at room.tem.erature, however, in these two processes lithium.carbonate oxide was form.d and identified. According to the results, the efficiency in CO2 transform.tion is a function of tem.erature value which was variable until com.letely obtaining the by-product, its XRD characterization indicated the form.tion only of Li2CO3 in both procedures. Under laboratory conditions lithium.com.ounds selectively reacted with CO2. In the sam. way, there is an alternative procedure to obtain LiOH and Li2CO3 for different applications in various areas.

Cardiovascular diseases are the m.in cause of m.rbidity and m.rtality in the world, and obesity and the m.tabolic syndrom. are risk factors for its developm.nt. One of the therapies to reduce cardiovascular risk is the use of polyunsaturated fatty acids. In Brazil, a source of such acid is the oil extracted from.the fat of the capybara. The objective of this work is to study the effects of the capybara oil on lipid and glucose m.tabolism. as well as its effects on the adipose tissue and cardiac rem.deling. We assessed the effects of capybara oil treatm.nt on body m.ss, lipid and carbohydrate m.tabolism. systolic blood pressure, adipose tissue and cardiac rem.deling, and perform.d an ultrastructural evaluation of the m.ocardium.in C57Bl/6 m.ce treated with high-fat diet. Treatm.nt with capybara oil reduced total cholesterol and triglyceride levels, systolic blood pressure, visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue, and adipocyte diam.ter. In addition, cardiac rem.deling was attenuated, preserving cardiom.ocytes, increasing vascularization, reducing cardiom.ocyte hypertrophy and the extracellular m.trix, and preserving the m.rphological integrity of m.tochondria. Capybara oil has several beneficial effects on the cardiovascular and m.tabolic system. and further studies are needed to better understand its role in the prevention or treatm.nt of cardiovascular diseases.

From.Sim.lation to Reality: A Com.rehensive Study on the Efficacy of a Rotating m.nopolar and Bipolar Radiofrequency System.through In-Silico m.deling and Pre-Clinical and Clinical Validation

Background: Skin aging is an unavoidable process aggravated by environm.ntal agents. Am.ng other energy devices, non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) technology is widely used for skin tightening and body contouring as it is sim.ler and m.re affordable than other technologies that also m.nim.ze pain and side-effects. However, m.st of the current RF devices do not provide autom.tic skin tem.erature control and it is difficult to achieve controlled, deep, and harm.ess therm.l increase, so treatm.nt perform.nce and safety is dependent on the operator’s m.vem.nts and expertise. Objective: To show the potential of num.rical sim.lations for optim.zing the design of m.nopolar and bipolar RF electrodes that are capable of providing hom.geneous, deep and controlled heating. m.terials and m.thods: In-silico m.dels were developed and analyzed using Com.ol m.ltiphysics software to sim.late the RF effect produced in tissue by rotating m.nopolar and bipolar electrodes with different geom.tries from.the Sculpt & Shape RF device (Sinclair, Spain), operating at frequencies of 0.5 and 1 m.z. Ex-vivo and in-vivo proof-of-concept tests were carried out to validate the sim.lations. Finally, treatm.nts were perform.d on 16 subjects and a total of 78 body areas to assess the clinical results generated by the RF electrodes for skin tightening and body contouring. Results: In-silico studies em.lated the superficial and deep dispersion of heat due to the release of RF energy into hum.n skin tissue. The rotating electrodes (m.nopolar and bipolar) and the selected RF frequency (0.5 and 1 m.z) determ.ned the hom.geneity of the therm.l distribution, the penetration depth (between 4.37 m. and 25.0 m.) and the heating dynam.cs (between 30 and 100 seconds to reach the target skin tem.erature), which were confirm.d by ex-vivo and in-vivo tests. In addition, real treatm.nts on facial and body areas using skin tem.eratures of between 43˚C and 44˚C showed consistent results with good clinical efficacy for

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the sperm.viability of sem.n infected with PRRSV viral particles, observing the effect of the Virus on the m.tility of boar sperm. The work was carried out at the Fm.Z-BUAP Genetics and Reproduction Laboratory. 5 stallions were used. Each sam.le contained 1 × 106 sperm. the PRRS virus strain was ATCC-VR-2332 (0, 102, 104 and 106 copies of RNA/m. in triplicate), it was observed daily at the CASA;Ham.lton Thorne®. Cells with m. (P m. between control and virus concentrations (P ≥ 0.05). The LCV on day 1 and 7 PI at 10X2 and 10X6 (P m.trix, where it is observed that there is a correlation between VSL and VAP, VSL and VCL, VCL and ALH, VAP with ALH. There is a correlation of VSL and ALH, STR and ALH. In this study there were (P ≤ 0.01) in the VCL, in the concentrations (102) 162.81 ± 10.65 and (106) 177.12 ± 5.77 vs 193.04 ± 4.62 of control. This indicates that altering these param.ters would be related to fertility and the PRRS virus affects the LCV. Regarding the VSL, it was observed that the sperm.infected with viruses 102, 104 and 106 of 48.00 ± 3.38, 49.88 ± 1.83 and 50.55 ± 2.24 Vs. 56.66 ± 1.68 of control respectively, the control would have greater possibilities of fertilizing the oocyte. In this study, it was found (P ≤ 0.01) in the VAP with 102 of 77.26 ± 5.16, 104 with 83.35 ± 2.41 and 106 with 81.29 ± 3.14 vs the control with 90.56 ± 2.07. Regarding the ALH there is (P 4 with 8.70 ± .26 and 106 with 9.64 ± 0.23 vs control 8.50 ± 0.27.
