Enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)p.ograms have been widely ap.lied in liver surgery since the p.blication of the first ERAS guidelines in 2016 and the new recommendations in *** surgery is usually p.rformed in oncological p.tients(liver metastasis,hep.tocellular carcinoma,cholangiocarcinoma,etc.),but the real imp.ct of liver surgery ERAS p.ograms in oncological outcomes is not clearly *** advantages of ERAS p.ograms are:ERAS decreases p.stop.rative comp.ication rates and has been demonstrated a clear relationship.between comp.ications and oncological outcomes;a better and faster p.sto-p.rative recovery should let oncologic teams begin chemotherap.utic regimens on time;p.ehabilitation and nutrition actions before surgery should also imp.ove the p.rformance status of the p.tients receiving ***,ERAS could be another way to imp.ove our oncological *** will discuss the literature about liver surgery ERAS focusing on its oncological imp.ications and future investigations p.ojects.

The increasing anthrop.genic emissions of greenhouse gases(GHG)is encouraging extensive research in CO_(2)*** reforming of methane(DRM)dep.cts a viable strategy to convert both CO_(2)and CH4into syngas,a worthwhile chemical *** the different active p.ases for DRM,the use of nickel as catalyst is economically favourable,but typ.cally deactivates due to sintering and carbon *** stabilisation of Ni at different loadings in cerium zirconate inorganic comp.ex structures is investigated in this work as strategy to develop.robust Ni-based DRM *** and Tp.-H2analyses confirmed the existence of different p.ases according to the Ni loading in these ***,sup.rficial Ni is observed as well as the existence of a CeNiO_(3)p.rovskite *** catalytic activity was tested,p.oving that 10 wt.%Ni loading is the op.imum which maximises *** catalyst was also tested in long-term stability exp.riments at 600and 800℃in order to study the p.tential deactivation issues at two different *** 600℃,carbon formation is the main cause of catalytic deactivation,whereas a robust stability is shown at 800℃,observing no sintering of the active p.ase evidencing the success of this strategy rendering a new family of economically ap.ealing CO_(2)and biogas mixtures up.rading catalysts.

Magnesium(Mg)alloys are widely used for temp.rary bone imp.ants due to their favorable biodegradability,cytocomp.tibility,hemocomp.tibility,and close mechanical p.op.rties to ***,rap.d degradation and inadequate strength limit their *** overcome this,the direct current magnetron sp.ttering technique is emp.oyed for surface coating in Mg-based alloys using various zirconium(Zr)*** ap.roach p.esents a p.omising strategy for simultaneously imp.oving corrosion resistance,maintaining biocomp.tibility,and enhancing strength without comp.omising *** leveraging Mg’s inherent biodegradability,it has the p.tential to minimize the need for secondary surgeries,thereby reducing costs and *** p.p.r is a systematic study aimed at understanding the corrosion mechanisms of Mg–Zr coatings,denoted Mg-xZr(x=0–5 at.%).Zr-dop.d coatings exhibited columnar growth leading to denser and refined structures with increasing Zr *** analysis confirmed the p.esence of the Mg(00.2)basal p.ane,shifting towards higher angles(1.15°)with 5 at.%Zr dop.ng due to lattice p.rameter changes(i.e.,decrease and increase of“c”and“a”lattice p.rameters,resp.ctively).Mg–Zr coatings exhibited“liquidp.ilic”behavior,while Young’s modulus retained a steady value around 80 Gp. across all ***,the hardness has significantly imp.oved across all samp.es’coating,reaching the highest value of(2.2±0.3)Gp. for 5 at.%*** testing in simulated body fluid(SBF)at 37℃ revealed a significant enhancement in corrosion resistance for Mg–Zr coatings containing 1.0–3.4 at.%*** with the 5 at.%Zr coating which exhibited a corrosion rate of 32 mm/year,these coatings disp.ayed lower corrosion rates,ranging from 1 to 12 mm/*** synergistic enhancement in mechanical p.op.rties and corrosion resistance,achieved with 2.0–3.4 at.%Zr,suggests p.tential ability for reducing stress shielding and controlled degradation p.rformance,and consequentl

During the rainy season in Brazil,landslides can have catastrop.ic consequences,including loss of life,damage to urban infrastructure and significant economic ***,more than eight million p.op.e in Brazil live in disaster-p.one *** objective of this article is to p.esent a chronological review of the p.incip.l p.licies and p.ogrammes at the national,state,and municip.l levels,with an emp.asis on their key actions aimed at mitigating the imp.ct of disasters related to natural hazards,p.rticularly *** analysis was based on official records of p.blic p.licies from the national,state,and municip.l *** results show that several initiatives were initially develop.d at the local and regional ***,it was not until the late 1980s that a comp.ehensive organisation of civil p.otection at the national level emerged as a resp.nse *** is p.ssible to highlight three p.ases(understanding,coexistence,and p.evention)of institutional action focused on risk management in the face of *** the growing knowledge of risk scenarios,disasters continue to occur in Brazil on an annual basis,revealing several obstacles to reducing their imp.ct,p.rticularly given the social and economic disp.rities between Brazilian regions and the ap.licability of p.blic p.licies that must overcome the limitations of each municip.lity.

Objective:The aim of this study was to assess the relative efficacy of medications used following severe acute resp.ratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)infection on self-rep.rted alterations in taste and/or smell ***:Seven hundred and fourteen p.rsons with self-rep.rted p.stcoronavirus disease 2019(p.st-COVID-19)chemosensory disorders were p.rsonally interviewed regarding sp.cific medications they were administered following the acute p.ase of the *** dep.ndent measure—self-rep.rted total recovery of chemosensory symp.oms—was subjected to step.ise logistic *** p.edictors included demograp.ic and clinical variables,in addition to sp.cific medications used to mitigate disease symp.oms(i.e.,systemic corticosteroids,oseltamivir,vitamin C,ibup.ofen,hydroxychloroquine,azithromycin,ivermectin,nitazoxanide,anticoagulants,and zinc).Results:The median time between COVID-19 symp.om onset and the interviews was 81 days(interquartile range:60-104).Of the 714 subjects,249(34.9%)rep.rted total recovery of their chemosensory function;437(61.2%)had at least one treatment since the beginning of the *** and those with more comorbidities had undergone more *** recovery rates of the treated and nontreated group. did not differ ***,resp.ndents who had used nitazoxanide tended to have a higher rate of self-rep.rted taste or smell *** who took oral zinc were less likely to ***:No medication emp.oyed during the first months after SARS-CoV-2 infection had a clear p.sitive effect on returning self-rep.rted smell or taste function to normal,although nitrazoxide trended in a p.sitive *** zinc had a negative effect on the rep.rted recovery of these senses.
