The presence of nonmetallic inclusion particles which appear during steelmaking process is harmful to the properties of steels, which is mainly as a function of some aspects such as size, volume fraction, shape, and distribution of these particles. The automatic image analysis technique is one of the most important tools for the quantitative determination of these parameters. The classical Student approach and the extreme Values Method （eVM） were used for the inclusion size and shape determination and the evaluation of distance between the inclusion particles. The results thus obtained indicated that there were significant differences in the characteristics of the inclusion particles in the analyzed products. Both methods achieved results with some differences, indicating that eVM could be used as a faster and more reliable statistical methodology.

During social interactions,the behavior of an individual often depends on the sex of its social *** animal societies have males and females that play very different behavioral roles,although they coexist and interact *** specific phases of the colony cycle,social wasp females and males are contemporaries within a nest,they often interact,although mating occurs mostly off the nest,therefore providing an opportunity to test sex discrimination in contexts other than classical sexual *** performed a lure presentation experiment to test if Mischocyttarus metathoracicus discriminate between conspecifics of the 2 sexes during on-nest social *** wasps discriminated conspecific sex during experimentally simulated nest *** and chemical cues may account for this sex *** sex discrimination(evidenced by differential inspective behavior from the nest females toward the female and the male lures),female wasps were as aggressive toward lures of both *** the female-dominated hymenopteran societies,males are often subordinate and not aggressive on nest,resulting in females directing less aggression to them compared to other ***,*** males and females are both aggressive toward nestmates,so they might be perceived as similar threat during on-nest social interactions.

Urban forests play an important role in the thermal comfort and overall life of local populations in large-and medium-sized *** study analyzes urban forest loss and maps land use and land cover(LULC)changes between 1991 and 2018 by evaluating the use of urban planning instruments for the mitigation of urban forest loss in Jo?o Pessoa,*** this purpose,satellite-derived LULC images from 1991,2006,2010 and 2018 and data on urban forest loss areas obtained using the Google earth engine were *** addition,this paper also discusses the instruments used for integrated urban planning,which are(a)the legal sector,responsibility and nature;(b)the urban expansion process;and(c)the elements of urban *** results show a clear shift in land use in the study *** major changes in LULC classes occurred in urban areas and herbaceous vegetation,while the greatest loss was in arboreal/shrub ***,an increase in the pressure to occupy zones intended for environmental preservation could be *** results showed similar accuracies with other studies and more spatial *** characteristics of the patterns,traces,and hotspots of urban expansion and forest cover loss were *** highlighted the potential use of this proposed framework to be applied and validated in other parts of the world to help better understand and quantify various aspects of urban-related problems such as urban forest loss mapping using instruments for integrated urban planning and low-cost approaches.

圣多美和普林西比岛是一直被人们遗忘的岛屿,是殖民时期的耕地。16世纪,岛内引进并种植了甘蔗;到了 19世纪,群岛上种植了大量的可可和咖啡。在这一时期,该岛屿被认为是世界上最大的可可和咖啡生产国,但只是作为加勒比和巴西的奴隶港口。众所周知,在当今时代,海洋为发展提供了宝贵的资源,对圣多美和普林西比岛来说更为重要。该地区拥有大量资源,如天然气,石油和生物资源。由于其良好的战略位置,效益就会更大,这就是注重海上安全和海洋战略的重要性。这在很大程度上刺激了就业、激发了圣多美和普林西比岛人的意志。但是在这个过程中还是出现了很多,人们逐渐发现了问题,并通过制定一系列措施去解决问题。当前,海盗、恐怖主义等一系列不良因素对海洋生态系统造成了严重的破坏,还有其他诸多罪行正在海上发生,海上安全逐渐成为许多国家关心的主题。因此,海上安全引起了很多国家的关注,特别是圣多美和普林西比岛的海上安全问题。同以前一样,圣多美和普林西比岛是世界各种大赛的举办地之一,这体现了它们地理位置的战略意义。因此,圣多美岛、普林西比岛都希望尽快在这里建一个深水港口,这样圣多美岛、普林西比岛将会成为向该地区提供货物和其他服务的重要港口通道。

Purpose:To investigate whether blood flow restriction(BFr) without concomitant exercise mitigated strength reduction and atrophy of thigh muscles in subjects under immobilization for lower ***:The following databases were searched:PubMed,CINAHL,PeDro,Web of Science,Central,and ***:The search identified 3 eligible studies,and the total sample in the identified studies consisted of 38 *** and isometric torque of the knee flexors and extensors was examined in 2 ***-sectional area of thigh muscles was evaluated in 1 study,and thigh girth was measured in 2 *** BFr protocol was 5 sets of 5 min of occlusion and 3 min of free flow,twice daily for approximately 2 *** a whole,the included studies indicate that BFr without exercise is able to minimize strength reduction and muscular atrophy after *** is crucial to emphasize,however,that the included studies showed a high risk of bias,especially regarding allocation concealment,blinding of outcome assessment,intention-to-treat analyses,and group similarity at ***:Although potentially useful,the high risk of bias presented by original stodies limits the indication of BFr without concomitant exercise as an effective countermeasure against strength reduction and atrophy mediated by immobilization.

The effect of a pseudo Aharonov-Bohm(AB) magnetic field generated by a disclination on a two-dimensional electron gas in graphene is addressed in the continuum limit within the geometric approach. The influence of the coupling between the spinor fields and the singular conical curvature is investigated, which shows that singularities have pronounced impact in the Hall conductivity. Moreover, the degeneracy related to the Dirac valleys is broken for negative values of the angular momentum quantum numbers, ?, including ? ≡ 0. In this case, a Hall plateau develops at the null filling factor. Obtaining the Hall conductivity by summing over the positive and the negative ?′s, the null Landau level is recovered and the plateau at the null filling factor disappears. In any case, the standard plateaus, which are seen in a flat graphene are not obtained with these curvature and singular effects.

The use of natural lignocellulosic fibers(NLFs)as a reinforcement mechanism for cementitious composites,such as mortar,has been investigated in the last ***,their application has often been restricted to technological evaluation research.A NLF with great potential the curaua,which after treatment with NaOH solution,proved to be technologically feasible for mortars reinforcement based on cement and *** objective of this research was the comparative evaluation between a traditional mortar,based on cement and lime,with 1:1:6:0.8 ratio of cement:lime:sand:water,and a modified mortar with addition of 2 wt.%treated curaua fiber in cement mass by evaluating environmental and durability *** a curing time for 28 days,environmental assessments were carried out and durability methodologies were *** tests performed were:(i)attack by chlorides and sulfate,(ii)the wetting and drying cycles,and(iii)slake durability *** results showed that the mortar with the addition of curaua fiber presented a similar behavior to the reference mixture,both in terms of environmental and durability *** modified mortar is able to be used in internal and external environments,the latter with some ***,it also contributes to the promotion of sustainable use of curaua fiber.
