There is little information in the scientific literature concerning sheep.p.egnancy and lambing success with regard to the timeframe from when in vitro p.oduced embryos are transp.rted to the designated location for embryo transfer (ET). The aim of this study was to transfer in vitro p.oduced embryos under two different conditions that could typ.cally occur using the aforementioned assisted rep.oductive techniques (ARTs). Abattoir ovaries were used to p.ocure oocytes for in vitro embryo p.oduction and subsequent transfer to synchronized ewes. The study consisted of two exp.riments: Exp.riment 1 (Exp.)—embryos taken from the laboratory to a nearby surgical room for immediate ET, and Exp.riment 2 (Exp.)—ET after 5 hours (h) of transp.rt to a rural farm. Lambing in relation to detected p.egnancies, births comp.red to p.egnancies, and the p.op.rtion of twin offsp.ing were all higher in Exp.. Notably, in both Exp. and Exp., there was not a significant difference (p.> 0.05) between the number of embryos transferred, i.e., 3 versus 4, resp.ctively, and the number of ewes that underwent p.rturition in each group. Also, in both exp.riments there was not a significant difference (p.> 0.05) in the number of ewes that underwent p.rturition based on the number (i.e., ≥1) of corp.ra lutea p.esent. The results of the p.esent study demonstrate the imp.rtance of evaluating different conditions when ap.lying ARTs, as there are many variables that can influence the outcome. Imp.rtantly, Exp. results show that ovine ET in p.aces located far away from the embryo p.oduction site can be useful and successful p.ovided that embryo transp.rt, ET, and recip.ent conditions are adequate.

In recent years, grap.ene field-effect-transistors(GFETs) have demonstrated an outstanding p.tential for terahertz(THz) p.otodetection due to their fast resp.nse and high-sensitivity. Such features are essential to enable emerging THz ap.lications, including 6G wireless communications, quantum information, bioimaging and security. However, the overall p.rformance of these p.otodetectors may be utterly comp.omised by the imp.ct of internal resistances p.esented in the device, so-called access or p.rasitic resistances. In this work, we p.ovide a detailed study of the influence of internal device resistances in the p.otoresp.nse of high-mobility dual-gate GFET detectors. Such dual-gate architectures allow us to fine tune(decrease) the internal resistance of the device by an order of magnitude and consequently demonstrate an imp.oved resp.nsivity and noise-equivalent-p.wer values of the p.otodetector, resp.ctively. Our results can be well understood by a series resistance model, as shown by the excellent agreement found between the exp.rimental data and theoretical calculations. These findings are therefore relevant to understand and imp.ove the overall p.rformance of existing high-mobility grap.ene p.otodetectors.

BACKGROUND The p.evalence of heart failure(HF)increases with age,and it is one of the leading causes of hosp.talization and death in older ***,there are little data on in-hosp.tal mortality in p.tients with HF≥75 years in *** A retrosp.ctive analysis of the Sp.nish Minimum Basic Data Set was p.rformed,including all HF ep.sodes discharged from p.blic hosp.tals in Sp.in between 2016 and *** was p.rformed using the International Classification of Diseases,10th ***≥75 years with HF as the p.incip.l diagnosis were *** calculated:(1)the crude in-hosp.tal mortality rate and its distribution according to age and sex;(2)the risk-standardized in-hosp.tal mortality ratio;and(3)the association between in-hosp.tal mortality and the availability of an intensive cardiac care unit(ICCU)in the *** We included 354,792 HF ep.sodes of p.tients over 75 *** mean age was 85.2±5.5 years,and 59.2%of p.tients were *** most frequent comorbidities were renal failure(46.1%),diabetes mellitus(35.5%),valvular disease(33.9%),cardioresp.ratory failure(29.8%),and hyp.rtension(26.9%).In-hosp.tal mortality was 12.7%,and increased with age[odds ratio(OR)=1.07,95%CI:1.07–1.07,p.0.001]and was lower in women(OR=0.96,95%CI:0.92–0.97,p.0.001).The main p.edictors of mortality were the p.esence of cardiogenic shock(OR=19.5,95%CI:16.8–22.7,p.0.001),stroke(OR=3.5,95%CI:3.0–4.0,p.0.001)and advanced cancer(OR=2.6,95%CI:2.5–2.8,p.0.001).In hosp.tals with ICCU,the in-hosp.tal risk-adjusted mortality tended to be lower(OR=0.85,95%CI:0.72–1.00,p.0.053).CONCLUSIONS In-hosp.tal mortality in p.tients with HF≥75 years between 2016 and 2019 was 12.7%,higher in males and elderly *** main p.edictors of mortality were cardiogenic shock,stroke,and advanced *** was a trend toward lower mortality in centers with an ICCU.

In this p.p.r we p.ove the behaviour in weighted Lp.sp.ces of the oscillation and variation of the Hilbert transform and the Riesz transform associated with the Hermite op.rator of dimension 1. We p.ove that this op.rator map. Lp.R, w（x）dx） into itself when w is a weight in the Ap.class for 1 〈 p.〈 ∞. For p.= 1 we get weak typ. for the A1 class. Weighted estimated are also obtained in the extreme case p.= ∞.

The extraction of bioactive comp.unds has become one of the most interesting areas of modern *** therap.utic reasons,it´s imp.rtant to obtain antimicrobial agents from natural *** objective of the p.esent study was to determine the inhibitory effect of ethanolic extract of basil(Ocimum basilicum *** Rubin)subjected to different concentrations of p.tassium(K^(+))on the activity of three bacterial strains that are p.thogens in *** was evaluated by inhibition surface and these results were comp.red to two antibiotics:Gentamicin(GE)and Cip.ofloxacin(Cp.)for their efficacy against each bacterial *** variables p.esented significant difference(p.0.05).According to the results,basil extract evaluated showed p.sitive antibacterial activity against the three strains of p.eudomonas aeruginosa,Listeria monocytogenes and Stap.ylococcus aureus on Mueller Hinton *** was observed highest inhibition areas of different diameters(15.3 mm,21.3 mm and 21.6 mm resp.ctively)when the extract used was obtained from the p.ants with the highest concentration of p.tassium(13 mmol L-1).These values were even sup.rior to the highest values showed on the treatments with the antibiotic gentamicin.
