Electrochemical Corrosion Study in H₂SO₄ of NiAl with Cu Additions, Microstructure and Micro-Hardness at Room Temperature

For many years, intermetallic materials promise applications in a wide variety of technolog. areas. NiAl intermetallic compound is material that exhibits important characteristics such as hig. corrosion resistance and low density besides its ability to retain streng.h and stiffness at elevated temperatures. However NiAl intermetallic is too hard, brittle and exhibits very low ductility at room temperature being.the reason because this material is not yet available for structural applications. In order to increase the ductility of the NiAl intermetallic compound, the addition of a third alloying.element has been proved, nevertheless it is important to determine if such additions decrease or increase the hardness and the corrosion resistance of the alloy. So, the present investig.tion reports the corrosion performance of the NiAl intermetallic compound modified with Cu, emphasizing.the EIS analysis and the relation between physical parameters and the modelling.equations used in the Equivalent Electric Circuit. It was found that the addition of Cu promotes the formation of the γ’-Ni3Al phase in Cu contents g.eater than 15 at. %, in addition to a decrease in micro hardness and an increment in the Icorr values. In this way, the electrochemical characterization evidenced a hig. corrosion resistance of these intermetallic alloys.

The authors present the g.neral theory of cleft extensions for a cocommutative weak Hopf alg.bra H. For a rig.t H-comodule alg.bra, they obtain a bijective corre- spondence between the isomorphisms classes of H-cleft extensions AH → A, where AH is the subalg.bra of coinvariants, and the equivalence classes of crossed systems for H over AH. Finally, they establish a bijection between the set of equivalence classes of crossed systems with a fixed weak H-module alg.bra structure and the second cohomolog. g.oup H2φZ（AH）（H, Z（AH））, where Z（AH） is the center of AH.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is among.the most frequent etiolog.es of cirrhosis worldwide,and it is associated with features of metabolic syndrome;the key factor influencing.its prog.osis is the prog.ession of liver *** review aimed to propose a practical and stepwise approach to the evaluation and manag.ment of liver fibrosis in patients with NAFLD,analyzing.the currently available *** the assessment of NAFLD patients,it is important to identify clinical,g.netic,and environmental determinants of fibrosis development and its *** properly detect fibrosis,it is important to take into account the available methods and their supporting.scientific evidence to g.ide the approach and the sequential selection of the best available biochemical scores,followed by a complementary imag.ng.study(transient elastog.aphy,mag.etic resonance elastog.aphy or acoustic radiation force impulse)and finally a liver biopsy,when *** help with the selection of the most appropriate method a Fag.n′s nomog.am analysis is provided in this review,describing.the diag.ostic yield of each method and their post-test probability of detecting.liver ***,treatment should always include diet and exercise,as well as controlling.the components of the metabolic syndrome,+/-vitamin E,considering.the presence of sleep apnea,and when available,allocate those patients with advanced fibrosis or hig. risk of prog.ession into clinical *** final end of this approach should be to establish an opportune diag.osis and treatment of liver fibrosis in patients with NAFLD,aiming.to decrease/stop its prog.ession and improve their prog.osis.

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are the most frequently used stem cells in clinical trials due to their easy isolation from various adult tissues,their ability of homing.to injury sites and their potential to differentiate into multiple cell ***,the realization that the beneficial effect of MSCs relies mainly on their paracrine action,rather than on their eng.aftment in the recipient tissue and subsequent differentiation,has opened the way to cell-free therapeutic strateg.es in reg.nerative *** the soluble factors and vesicles secreted by MSCs are commonly known as *** secretome has a key role in cell-to-cell communication and has been proven to be an active mediator of immunemodulation and reg.neration both in vitro and in ***,the use of secretome has key advantag.s over cell-based therapies,such as a lower immunog.nicity and easy production,handling.and ***,MSCs can be modulated to alter their secretome composition to better suit specific therapeutic g.als,thus,opening.a larg. number of *** these advantag.s now place MSCs secretome at the center of an important number of investig.tions in different clinical contexts,enabling.rapid scientific prog.ess in this field.

Backg.ound:Many jumping.interventions have been performed in children and adolescents in order to improve bone-related variables and thus,ensure a healthy bone development during.these periods and later in *** systematic review aims to summarize and update present knowledg. reg.rding.the effects that jumping.interventions may have on bone mass,structure and metabolism in order to ascertain the efficacy and durability (duration of the effects caused by the intervention) of the *** sources:Identification of studies was performed by searching.in the database MEDLINE/PubMed and *** studies were identified by contacting.clinical experts and searching.bibliog.aphies and *** terms included 'bone and bones','jump*','weig.t-bearing.,'resistance training. and 'school intervention'.The search was conducted up to October *** studies that had performed a specific jumping.intervention in under 18-year olds and had measured bone mass were *** extraction of articles was done by 2 authors using.predefined data ***:A total of 26 studies were included in this ***-four studies found positive results as subjects included in the intervention g.oups showed hig.er bone mineral density,bone mineral content and bone structure improvements than *** two studies found no effects on bone mass after a 10-week and 9-month ***,those studies that evaluated the durability of the effects found that some of the increases in the intervention g.oups were maintained after several ***:Jumping.interventions during.childhood and adolescence improve bone mineral content,density and structural properties without side *** type of interventions should be therefore implemented when possible in order to increase bone mass in early stag.s of life,which may have a direct preventive effect on bone diseases like osteoporosis later in fife.

Diag.ostic and therapeutic challeng.s of g.strointestinal ang.odysplasias: A critical review and view points

g.strointestinal ang.odysplasias (g.ADs), also called ang.oectasias, are the most frequent vascular lesions. Its precise prevalence is unknown since most of them are asymptomatic. However, the incidence may be increasing.since g.ADs affect individuals ag.d more than 60 years and population life expectancy is g.obally increasing.worldwide. They are responsible of about 5% to 10% of all g.strointestinal bleeding.(g.B) cases. Most g.ADs are placed in small bowel, where are the cause of 50 to 60% of obscure g.B diag.osed with video capsule endoscopy. They may be the cause of fatal severe bleeding.episodes;nevertheless, recurrent overt or occult bleeding.episodes requiring.repeated expensive treatments and disturbing.patient’s quality-of-life are more frequently observed. Diag.osis and treatment of g.ADs (particularly those placed in small bowel) are a g.eat challeng. due to insidious disease behavior, inaccessibility to affected sites and limitations of available diag.ostic procedures. Hemorrhag.c causality out of the actively bleeding.lesions detected by diag.ostic procedures may be difficult to establish. No treatment g.idelines are currently available, so there is a hig. variability in the manag.ment of these patients. In this review, the epidemiolog. and pathophysiolog. of g.ADs and the status in the diag.osis and treatment, with special emphasis on small bowel ang.odysplasias based on multiple publications, are critically discussed. In addition, a classification of g.ADs based on their endoscopic characteristics is proposed. Finally, some aspects that need to be clarified in future research studies are hig.lig.ted.

Delusional disorder(DD)has been traditionally considered a relatively rare and treatment-resistant psychotic *** the last decade,increasing.attention has focused on therapeutic outcomes of individuals affected by this *** aim of this paper is to provide a synthesis of the literature addressing.two very important questions arising.from DD research:(1)For which patients with DD do antipsychotic medications work best(the moderators of response);and(2)What variables best explain the relationship between such treatments and their effectiveness(the mediators of response).We searched PubMed and g.og.e Scholar databases for Eng.ish,g.rman,French and Spanish lang.ag. papers published since *** also included a few classic earlier papers addressing.this *** potentially moderating.antipsychotic response in DD are g.nder,reproductive status,ag.,duration of illness,the presence of comorbidity(especially psychiatric comorbidity)and its treatment,brain structure,and g.netics of neurochemical receptors and drug.metabolizing.*** and hormonal blood levels during.treatment,as well as functional brain chang.s,are potential mediating.***,but not all,patients with DD benefit from antipsychotic *** the circumstances under which treatment works best can serve to g.ide optimal manag.ment.
