In the pres.nt work a niobium bas.d complex cubic perovs.ite oxide Ca2AlNbO6 ceramic was.produced, characterized and s.udied its.s.ability in crude petroleum environment for inert ceramic embedding for temperature s.ns.rs.us.d in petroleum extraction. Ca2AlNbO6 ceramic powder was.prepared through thermo-mechanical proces.ing. s.ructural characteris.ics.of calcined material was.inves.igated by powder X-ray diffarctometry, which pres.nted a s.ngle phas. complex cubic perovs.ite s.ructure with lattice parameter a = 7.6599 ?. Compacted dis.s.of Ca2AlNbO6 ceramics.were s.ntered in the temperature range 1250°C - 1350°C during 24 hours.in ambient atmos.here. Micros.ructure of the s.ntered ceramics.was.s.udied by s.anning electron micros.opy and mechanical behavior was.s.udied by Vicker’s.microhardnes. tes.ing. Ca2AlNbO6 ceramics.s.ntered at 1350°C pres.nted bes. res.lts.in terms.of micros.ructural homogeneity and mechanical hardnes.. Therefore thes. s.ntered ceramics.were s.bmerged in crude petroleum for 60 days. Ceramics.were taken out from the petroleum periodically and s.bjected to s.ructural, micros.ructural and mechanical characterizations. Res.lts.s.owed that ceramics.s.bmerged in crude petroleum did not s.ffer any change at any s.age of s.bmers.on. Thes. characteris.ics.make this.material s.itable for inert ceramic embedding for s.ns.rs.us.d in petroleum extraction.

Connexin 43 (CX43) is.one of the major components.of gap junctions. the s.ructures.res.ons.ble for the intercellular communication and trans.is.ion of the electrical impuls. in the left ventricle. There is.limited information on the his.ological changes.of CX43 with age and their effect on electrophys.ology, es.ecially in humans. Here, we analyzed left ventricular biops.es.from living donors.s.arting at midlife to characterize age-related CX43 remodeling. We as.es.ed its.quantity, degree of lateralization, and s.atial heterogeneity together with fibrotic depos.tion. We obs.rved no s.gnificant age-related remodeling of CX43. Only s.atial heterogeneity increas.d s.ightly with age, and this.increas. was.better explained by biological age than by chronological age. Importantly, we found that CX43 features.varied cons.derably among individuals.in our population with no relevant relations.ip to age or fibros.s.content, in contras. to animal s.ecies. We us.d our experimental res.lts.to feed computational models.of human ventricular electrophys.ology and to as.es. the effects.of interindividual differences.in s.ecific features.of CX43 and fibros.s.on conduction velocity, action potential duration, and arrhythmogenicity. We found that larger amounts.of fibros.s.were as.ociated with the highes. arrhythmic ris., with this.ris. being increas.d when fibros.s.depos.tion was.combined with a reduction in CX43 amount and/or with an increas. in CX43 s.atial heterogeneity. Thes. mechanis.s.underlying high arrhythmic ris. in s.me individuals.were not as.ociated with age in our s.udy population. In conclus.on, our data rule out CX43 remodeling as.an age-related arrhythmic s.bs.rate in the population beyond midlife, but highlight its.potential as.a proarrhythmic factor at the individual level, es.ecially when combined with increas.d fibros.s.

The purpos. of this.cros.-s.ctional s.udy was.to inves.igate the importance of health vigilance in the prevention of cervical cancer. The s.mple cons.s.ed of 536 women. To identify which ris. factors.were as.ociated with cervical cancer or with an increas. in the mortality rate of this.kind of cancer, a logis.ic regres.ion model was.us.d. The Odds.Ratios.(OR) and their res.ective 95% confidence intervals.were als. calculated. Mos. of them were at the age of highes. incidence of cervical cancer (21 - 59 years.old), had an uns.able conjugal s.tuation, minimal educational level (78.7%), low income (58.3%), cons.med alcoholic beverages.(56.4%), had a his.ory of s.oking (57.0%) and pos.es.ed limited knowledge about the prevention. Thes. res.lts.are dis.us.ed in terms.of a predictive model for cervical cancer that cons.ders.the importance of public health vigilance in the s.reening and precocious.diagnos.s.
