Stability of.Brazilian Seasonally Dry f.rests under Climate Change: Inf.rences f.r Long-Term Conservation

We identif.ed climatically stable areas of.seasonally dry f.rests (SDf.) f.om Central Brazil through time and assessed the ef.ectiveness of.the current reserves network in representing these climatically stable areas, as well as areas of.high suitability in the present or in the f.ture only. We used an ensemble approach based on several methods f.r ecological niche modelling (ENMs) to obtain potential distributions 16 SDf. species f.r past (last glacial maximum), present, and f.ture (end of.XXI century) climate scenarios. We then computed how many current Brazilian reserves matched both stable areas (suitable areas f.r all time periods), present and f.ture geographical ranges alone f.r each species, in a multi-level gap analysis. We f.und range shif.s due to climate changes f.r SDf. species. Although the f.ture geographical range and stable areas f.r all analyzed species matched at least with one reserve, many protected areas will lose importance in protecting suitable areas f.r species in the f.ture. Moreover, the current Brazilian reserves cover only a small amount of.their climatically stable areas. However, some reserves will be suitable f.r many SDf. species (90%) at the same time, but climatically stable f.r only half.of.them. Our f.ndings show that vegetation community f.om SDf. may persist in Brazilian territories until the end of.XXI century, and challenges about long-term conservation of.the SDf. may be partially reached with already existing Brazilian reserve network, however the reserves should be connected to permit habitat tracking.

One Pr（Ⅲ） lanthanide ion complex was initially synthesized and characterized by TGA-DSC in air atmosphere, as well as characterized by CHN elemental analysis, def.ning the stoichiometric ratio as Pr（DMBz）3. The gaseous products evolved during the thermal decomposition were also monitored in N2 atmosphere employing TGA/f.-IR system. A crystal structure is obtained by state-of.the-art powder X-rays dif.raction methods measured in conventional laboratory equipment and ref.ned by the Rietveld method, which def.ned it as a monoclinic system of.the space group P21/C with a polymeric crystal structure, [Pr（DMBZ）3]n. f.-IR theoretical spectrum and time-dependent density f.nctional theory（TD-Df.） were calculated f.om TGA-DSC and crystalline system data. The experimental and theoretical f.-IR spectra present a high correlation degree when the main stretching bands are compared, while the energy transf.r（HOMO - LUMO） in their neighborhoods suggests the main contributions of.the light-emitting states.

This paper provides an intuitive introduction to cluster analysis. Our targeting audience are both scholars and students in Political Science. Methodologically, we use basic simulation to illustrate the underlying logic of.cluster analysis and we replicate data f.om Coppedge, Alvarez and Maldonado (2008)?[1]?to classif. political regimes according to Dahl’s (1971)?[2]?polyarchy dimensions: contestation and inclusiveness. With this paper, we hope to help novice scholars to understand and employ cluster analysis in Political Science empirical research.

Background: Indoor air quality in environments where there is great circulation of.people, posing risks to the health of.its occupants, including allergic problems, inf.ctions and contaminations, can be aided by climatic f.ctors, chemicals and biological agents housed in these environments, inf.uencing the location and providing f.vorable conditions f.r the degradation of.bibliographic collections. The present study investigated the presence of.f.ngi in indoor environments in seven public and private libraries in the central region of.Brazil, Mato Grosso, and verif.ed the impact on occupational health. Results: A total of.26,194 f.ngal specimens were isolated f.om 342 dust samples collected using three techniques: Andersen’s sampler (12.3%), exposure plate dish (25.1%) and sterile swab (62.6%). A total of.184 f.ngal species were identif.ed: 156 (84.8%) mycelial f.ngi and 28 (15.2%) yeast f.ngi, belonging 54 f.ngal genera, 43 (79.6%) mycelial f.ngi and 11 (20.4%) yeast f.ngi. The genus Aspergillus (40.6%) was one of.the main f.ngi present in indoor air. Aspergillus niger (12.3%) was identif.ed as the most prevalent species in literary environments, f.llowed by Cryptococcus spp. (7.1%) and Cladosporium cladosporioides (7.0%). In relation to seasonal distribution, there was a greater f.ngal isolation in the dry season (54%);f.llowed by the rainy season (46%). Conclusion: These results suggest the substrates researched in the evaluated environments presented in the f.rm of.documents, books and papers associated with dust and air humidity become suitable f.r microbiological prolif.ration. These f.ndings highlight the importance of.minimizing the risk of.exposure to f.ngal agents, identif.ed in pathogenic and toxigenic microenvironments in library collections.

The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CovV-2)inf.ction is associated with a hyperinf.ammatory state and lymphocytopenia,a hallmark that appears as both signature and prognosis of.disease severity *** cytokine storm and a sustained inf.ammatory state are commonly associated with immune cell depletion,it is still unclear whether direct SARS-Cov-2 inf.ction of.immune cells could also play a role in this scenario by harboring viral *** f.und that monocytes,as well as both B and T lymphocytes,were susceptible to SARS-Cov-2 inf.ction in vitro,accumulating double-stranded RNA consistent with viral RNA replication and ultimately leading to expressive T cell *** addition,f.ow cytometry and immunof.uorescence analysis revealed that SARS-Cov-2 was f.equently detected in monocytes and B lymphocytes f.om coronavirus disease 2019(CoVID-19)*** rates of.SARS-Cov-2-inf.cted monocytes in peripheral blood mononuclear cells f.om CoVID-19 patients increased over time f.om symptom onset,with SARS-CoV-2-positive monocytes,B cells,and CD4+T lymphocytes also detected in postmortem lung *** results indicated that SARS-CoV-2 inf.ction of.blood-circulating leukocytes in covID-19 patients might have important implications f.r disease pathogenesis and progression,immune dysf.nction,and virus spread within the host.
