The connection of resources, data, and knowledge through communication technology plays a vital role in current collaborative design methodologies and Product Lifecycle Management （PLM） systems, as these elements act as channels for information and meaning. despite significant advances in the area of PLM, most communication tools are used as separate services that are disconnected from existing development environments. Consequently, during a communication session, the specific elements being discussed are usually not linked to the context of the discussion, which may result in important information getting lost or becoming difficult to access. In this paper, we present a method to add synchronous communication functionality to a PLM system based on annotated information embedded in the CAd model. This approach provides users a communication channel that is built directly into the CAd interface and is valuable when individuals need to be contacted regarding the annotated aspects of a CAd model. We present the architecture of a new system and its integration with existing PLM systems, and describe the implementation details of an annotation-based video conferencing module for a commercial CAd application.

Background:To study and compare the clinical optical image quality following implantation with different premium IOLs by analysing the point spread function(PSF)Strehl ratio using a pyramidal wavefront sensor(PWS)-based ***:This study included 194 eyes implanted with:(a)19 AcrySof SA60AT(control group);(b)19 Miniwell;(c)24 LENTIS Mplus LS-313 MF30;(d)33 LENTIS Mplus LS-313 MF15;(e)17 AkkoLens Lumina;(f)31 AT LISA Tri 839MP;(g)20 Precizon Presbyopic;(h)20 AcrySof IQ PanOptix;(i)11 Tecnis *** outcome measures were PSF Strehl ratio,PSF Strehl ratio excluding second-order aberrations(PSFw2),total root mean square(RMS),low-order aberration(LOA)and high-order aberration(HOA)RMS measured by PWS ***:AT LISA Tri had the highest PSFw2 Strehl ratio at both 3.0-and 4.0-mm pupil size(0.52±0.14 and 0.31±0.10;Pd by SA60AT(0.41±0.11 and 0.28±0.07)and PanOptix(0.4±0.07 and 0.26±0.04).AT LISA Tri was found to provide a significantly better retinal image quality than PanOptix at both 3.0 mm(Pd 4.0 mm(P=0.004).Mplus MF15 was found to be significantly better than Mplus MF30 at both 3.0 mm(Pd 4.0 mm(P=0.002).Total RMS,LOA RMS,HOA RMS,PSF Strehl ratio and PSFw2 varied significantly between the studied groups(Pdistance clinical image quality parameters measured by PWS aberrometer differed significantly according to the technology of the implanted *** LISA Tri,SA60AT and PanOptix showed the highest values of far distance retinal image quality,while the lowest PSFw2 Strehl ratios were displayed by Miniwell,Mplus MF30 and Precizon Presbyopic.

This study proposed an approach for robot localization using data from multiple low-cost sensors with two goals in mind,to produce accurate localization data and to keep the computation as simple as *** approach used data from wheel odometry,inertial-motion data from the Inertial Motion Unit(IMU),and a location fix from a Real-Time Kinematics Global Positioning System(RTK GPS).Each of the sensors is prone to errors in some situations,resulting in inaccurate *** odometry is affected by errors caused by slipping when turning the robot or putting it on slippery *** IMU produces drifts due to vibrations,and RTK GPS does not return to an accurate fix in(semi-)occluded *** of these sensors is accurate enough to produce a precise reading for a sound localization of the robot in an outdoor *** solve this challenge,sensor fusion was implemented on the robot to prevent possible localization *** worked by selecting the most accurate readings in a given moment to produce a precise pose *** evaluate the approach,two different tests were performed,one with robot localization from the robot operating system(ROS)repository and the other with the presented Field Robot *** first did not perform well,while the second did and was evaluated by comparing the location and orientation estimate with ground truth,captured by a hovering drone above the testing ground,which revealed an average error of 0.005 m±0.220 m in estimating the position,and 0.6°±3.5°when estimating *** tests proved that the developed field robot localization is accurate and robust enough to be used on a ROVITIS 4.0 vineyard robot.

Mechanically durable transparent electrodes are essential for achieving long-term stability in flexible optoelectronic ***,they are crucial for applications in the fields of energy,display,healthcare,and soft *** meshes represent a promising alternative to traditional,brittle,metal oxide conductors due to their high electrical conductivity,optical transparency,and enhanced mechanical *** this paper,we present a simple method for fabricating an ultra-transparent conducting metal oxide mesh electrode using selfcracking-assisted *** this method,we produced an electrode with ultra-transparency(97.39%),high conductance(Rs=21.24Ωsq^(−1)),elevated work function(5.16 eV),and good mechanical *** also evaluated the effectiveness of the fabricated electrodes by integrating them into organic photovoltaics,organic light-emitting diodes,and flexible transparent memristor devices for neuromorphic computing,resulting in exceptional device *** addition,the unique porous structure of the vanadium-doped indium zinc oxide mesh electrodes provided excellent flexibility,rendering them a promising option for application in flexible optoelectronics.

The progressive aging of the population has risen awareness and concern about the impact of geriatric syndromes on both clinical outcomes and health-related quality of life in elderly patients, as well as issues regarding the rising economic burden associated with healthcare. Recent studies have demonstrated frailty and other geriatric syndromes such as functionality, dependency and comorbidity can identify the most vulnerable patients, thus allowing to better estimate the individual prognosis in terms of disability, readmission and mortality. Such information should also be considered in the decision making process, ensuring the benefit derived from each treatment in each patient, optimizing the resources and avoiding futility.

Metal-contaminated soils and sediments are widespread in urbanized areas due to atmospheric deposition close to emission sources. These metals are bio-available for organisms, e.g., insects, and accumulate in food chains of insectivorous *** bats, which live in urban regions and ingest large amounts of food relative to their body mass, are at risk of being poisoned due to the accumulation of trace metals. To determine species-specific trace metal contents in bats from urban environments, hair samples were analyzed by ICP-OES. Observed trace metal concentrations were related to species-specific foraging habitat, prey spectrum and degree of synanthropy. The species studied were Pipistrellus pipistrellus, Myotis daubentonii and Nyctalus noctula. P. pipistrellus showed the highest concentrations of lead and zinc and slightly higher concentrations of cadmium than the other two species, which was related to its high degree of synanthropy with foraging habitat mostly located in cities. In contrast, N. noctula displayed the highest contents of manganese and copper. The reason might be found in its prey spectrum, as N. noctula feeds mainly on beetles that are caught in cultured areas. Trace metal concentrations determined in hair samples of M. daubentonii ranged between the values of P. pipistrellus and N. noctula, probably reflecting an intermediate level of *** correlations were observed between the concentrations of cadmium and lead and those of manganese and copper. Hair samples from bats are suitable monitoring tools to study trace metal exposure and can be used to determine differences in trace metal levels between species.

Transanal endoscopic surgery(TES) consists of a series of anorectal surgical procedures using different devices that are introduced into the anal canal. TES has been developed significantly since it was first used in the 1980 s. The key point for the success of these techniques is how accurately patients are selected. The main indication was the resection of endoscopically unresectable adenomas. In recent years,these techniques have become more widespread which has allowed them to be applied in conservative rectal procedures for both benign diseases and selected cases of rectal cancer. For more advanced rectal cancers it should be considered palliative or,in some controlled trials,experimental. The role of newer endoscopic techniques available has not yet been defined. TES may allow for new strategies in the treatment of rectal pathology,like transanal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery or total mesorectal excision.

Introduction:Coastal wetlands are currently threatened by human drivers,such as agriculture,infrastructure development,and urban *** on these ecosystems disturb their morphology and biogeochemical cycles,resulting in the degradation of ecosystem ***,little has been done to understand the wetland response to identify proper conservation *** the Peruvian coast,wetlands present a diversity of landscapes that face similar threats and pressures;however,the ecosystem response in each one may be ***:This study aims to assess the environmental impacts on ecosystem services based on the understanding of geomorphic features and the status of the Eten coastal wetland(Peru).Methods:The methodology combines the application of open-source GIS tools and the collection of field data to characterize the geomorphic settings and to analyze the changes in environmental ***,the main threats and pressures on the Eten wetland are defined and related to impacts on ecosystem services using a cause-effect ***:Overall,the results indicated that the river plays a vital role in defining the wetland landscape and *** biological diversity of aquatic habitats is disturbed by hydraulic structures and agricultural *** land use affects supporting and regulation services,such as water regulation.
