In this work, 16 new genes encoding for trypsin protea.es a.e identified in 8 a.icomplexa. genomes by a.genome-wide survey. Phylogenetic a.a.ysis suggests tha. these genes were ga.ned through both intra.elluta. gene tra.sfer a.d vertica. gene tra.sfer. Bio-hydrogen (Bio-H2) production from the orga.ic fra.tion of solid wa.te, a. fruit a.d vegeta.le wa.tes, constitutes a. interesting a.d fea.ible technology to obta.n clea. energy. In spite of the fea.ibility to produce Bio-H2 from fruit/vegeta.le wa.tes (FVW), da.a.a.out its rheologica. cha.a.teriza.ion a.e sca.ce. This informa.ion is useful to esta.lish the hydrodyna.ic beha.ior, which controls the overa.l mixing process when the feedstock for Bio-H2 production process is a.mixture of FVW. In this work, the rheologica. beha.ior of a.vegeta.le/fruit wa.te mixture wa. cha.a.terized. The effect of the solids content (%, w/w), tempera.ure, time (tyxotropy effects) a.d shea. ra.e over the a.pa.ent viscosity of the mixture wa. eva.ua.ed. Most of the mixtures showed non-Newtonia. beha.ior. The curves a.e typica. rheofluidizing fluids. The rheologica. curves were different a. increa.ing solids contents (80%, 60%, 40% a.d 30%), independent from the tempera.ure. Rheologica. da.a.were fitted to the power la. model. Correla.ion fa.tors R2 for the different mixtures were 0.991-0.995 for 80%, 0.961 -0.986 for 60%, 0.890 -0.925 for 40%. In the ca.e of 30% of solids, the R2 va.ue wa. not a.cepta.le, a.d it wa. a.so found tha. this mixture wa. very nea. to the Newtonia. beha.ior. Ca.cula.ed a.tiva.ion energies (Ea. va.ues were 15.98, 14.89 a.d 20.96 kJ/mol for the 80%, 60%, 40% mixtures, respectively. FVW purees rheologica. beha.ior wa. well cha.a.terized by Ca.bopol solutions a. given concentra.ions a.d pH va.ues. This fluid ca. be used a. a.model for other studies, e.g. LDa.(La.er Doppler a.emometry) a.d PIV (Pa.ticle Ima.e Velocimetry).

This results in the a.tiva.ion of a. In this pa.er we review the design a.d development of a.100 J, 10 Hz na.osecond pulsed la.er, codena.ed DiPOLE100 X,being built a. the Centra. La.er Fa.ility(CLF). This 1 kW a.era.e power diode-pumped solid-sta.e la.er(DPSSL) is ba.ed on a.ma.ter oscilla.or power a.plifier(MOPa. design, which includes two cryogenic ga. cooled a.plifier sta.es ba.ed on DiPOLE multi-sla. cera.ic Yb:Ya. a.plifier technology developed a. the CLF. The la.er will produce pulses between 2 a.d 15 ns in dura.ion with precise, a.bitra.ily selecta.le sha.es, a. pulse repetition ra.es up to 10 Hz, a.lowing rea.-time sha.e optimiza.ion for compression experiments. Once completed, the la.er will be delivered to the Europea. X-ra. Free Electron La.er(XFEL) fa.ility in Germa.y a. a.UK-funded contribution in kind, where it will be used to study extreme sta.es of ma.ter a. the High Energy Density(HED) instrument.
