A micro- and me.oporous carbon obtaine. from che.ry pit waste.and activate. with HBPO4 acid has be.n studie. as the.sulfur host for Li/S batte.ie.. The.carbon has a high spe.ific surface.are. of 1,662 m2·g-1 （SBe.） and micropore.and me.opore.volume. of 0.57 and 0.40 cm3·g-1, re.pe.tive.y. The.S/C composite. with a sulfur conte.t of 57% de.osite. by the.disproportionate.re.ction of a SaO2- solution in an acid me.ium without an additional he.ting ste. above.the.S me.ting point, de.ive.s an initial spe.ific capacity of 1,148 mah·g-1 at a curre.t of C/16. It also has a high capacity re.e.tion of 915 mAh·g-1 afte. 100 cycle. and a Coulombic e.ficie.cy close.to 100%. The.good pe.formance.of the.composite.was also obse.ve. unde. highe. curre.t rate. and long-te.m cycling te.ts. The.capacitie. de.ive.e. by the.ce.l afte. 200 cycle. we.e.707 and 410 mAh·g-1 at C/2 and 1C （1C = 1,675 mA·g-1）, re.pe.tive.y, maintaining the.high Coulombic e.ficie.cy. The.ove.all e.e.troche.ical re.ponse.of this carbon as the.sulfur matrix is among the.be.t re.orte. so far among the.othe. biomass-de.ive. carbons, probably be.ause.of the.micro- and me.opore.syste. forme. upon activation.

(CNTs),silicon rubbe. and Ni@TiO_(2):W nanoparticle.(TiWNi NPs) with ave.age.size.of 37±2 *** image. showe. that the.TiWNi NPs de.orate. the.surface.of the.CNT fibe.s,which are.orie.te. in a pre.e.e.tial *** NPs pre.e.te. a mixture.of anatase.rutile.phase. with cubic *** pe.formance.of the.TiWNi powde.s and stre.chable.composite. was e.aluate. for the.photocatalytic de.radation of diclofe.ac (DCF) anti-inflammatory drug unde. ultraviole.-visible.*** re.ults re.e.le. that the.maximum DCF de.radation pe.ce.tage. we.e.34.6%,91.9%,97.1%,98.5%and 100%for the.CNT composite.(stre.che. at 0%),TiWNi powde.s,CNT+TiWNi(stre.che. at 0%),CNT+TiWNi (stre.che. at 50%) and CNT+TiWNi (stre.che. at 100%),***,stre.ching the.CNT+TiWNi composite. was a good strate.y to e.hance.the.DCF de.radation pe.ce.tage.from 97.1%to 100%,since.stre.ching cre.te. additional de.e.ts (oxyge. vacancie.) that acte. as e.e.tron sink,de.aying the.e.e.tron-hole.re.ombination,and favors the.DCF ***/absorbance.me.sure.e.ts confirme. the.pre.e.ce.of such ***,the.re.ctive.oxyge. spe.ie. In a first in man phase.I study, we.now re.ort the.re.ults of the.ape.tic vaccination of non-small ce.l lung cance. (NSCLC) patie.ts with an e.tablishe., alloge.e.c non-small ce.l lung ade.ocarcinoma ce.l line.se.re.ing gp96-Ig. Advance. NSCLC-patie.ts stage.IIIB or IV of any histological subtype.we.e.e.rolle. and tre.te. with up to 36 vaccinations ove. the.course.of 18 we.ks. Primary e.dpoint was safe.y, se.ondary e.dpoints tumor re.ponse.and ove.all survival. Me.sure.e.t of tumor antige. spe.ific CD8 CTL re.ponse. is pre.lude. by the.lack of known NSCLC associate. antige.s. The.e.ore. we.me.sure. patie.t CD8 T ce.l-IFN-γ re.ponse. to allo-antige.s of the.vaccine.ce.ls as surrogate.for tumor antige. spe.ific CD8 CTL. In 7 of 18 tre.te. patie.ts tumor growth was stabilize., howe.e. none.of the.18 patie.ts had an obje.tive.tumor re.ponse.by Re.IST crite.ia. Of 15 patie.ts e.aluable.for immune.re.ponse. 11 re.ponde. to vaccination with more.than twofold incre.se.in CD8-IFN-γ fre.ue.cy above.base.ine. The.e.patie.ts had a me.ian survival time.of 16.5 months. Four patie.ts who had no CD8 re.ponse.above.base.line.had survival time. from 2.1 to 6.7 months. Our data are.consiste.t with the.conce.t that ge.e.ation of CD8 CTL by the.ape.tic vaccination may de.ay tumor growth and progre.sion and me.iate.prolonge. survival e.e. in the.abse.ce.of obje.tive.tumor re.ponse.. Bio-hydroge. (Bio-H2) production from the.organic fraction of solid waste. as fruit and ve.e.able.waste., constitute. an inte.e.ting and fe.sible.te.hnology to obtain cle.n e.e.gy. In spite.of the.fe.sibility to produce.Bio-H2 from fruit/ve.e.able.waste. (FVW), data about its rhe.logical characte.ization are.scarce. This information is use.ul to e.tablish the.hydrodynamic be.avior, which controls the.ove.all mixing proce.s whe. the.fe.dstock for Bio-H2 production proce.s is a mixture.of FVW. In this work, the.rhe.logical be.avior of a ve.e.able.fruit waste.mixture.was characte.ize.. The.e.fe.t of the.solids conte.t (%, w/w), te.pe.ature. time.(tyxotropy e.fe.ts) and she.r rate.ove. the.appare.t viscosity of the.mixture.was e.aluate.. Most of the.mixture. showe. non-Ne.tonian be.avior. The.curve. are.typical rhe.fluidizing fluids. The.rhe.logical curve. we.e.diffe.e.t at incre.sing solids conte.ts (80%, 60%, 40% and 30%), inde.e.de.t from the.te.pe.ature. Rhe.logical data we.e.fitte. to the.powe. law mode.. Corre.ation factors R2 for the.diffe.e.t mixture. we.e.0.991-0.995 for 80%, 0.961 -0.986 for 60%, 0.890 -0.925 for 40%. In the.case.of 30% of solids, the.R2 value.was not acce.table. and it was also found that this mixture.was ve.y ne.r to the.Ne.tonian be.avior. Calculate. activation e.e.gie. (e.) value. we.e.15.98, 14.89 and 20.96 kJ/mol for the.80%, 60%, 40% mixture., re.pe.tive.y.
