Comparison of FDA safety and efficacy data for k.MRA and Raindrop corneal inlays

AIM：To provide a side-by-side analysis of the summary of safety and effectiveness data（SSED）submitted to the FDA for the k.MRA and Raindrop corneal inlays for the correction of ***：SSED reports submitted to the FDA for k.MRA and Raindrop were compared with respect to loss of corrected distance visual acuity（CDVA）,adverse event rates,induction of astigmatism,retention of contrast sensitivity,stability of manifest refractive spherical equivalent（MRSE）,and achieved monocular uncorrected near visual acuity（UNVA）at ***：Totally 442/508 of k.MRA patients and344/373 Raindrop patients remained enrolled in the clinical trials at *** proportion of k.MRA and Raindrop patients who lost≥2 lines of CDVA at 24mo was 3.4%and1%,*** adverse event rate was comparable between the *** significant inductions of astigmatism were *** technologies induced a transient myopic shift in MRSE followed by a hyperopic shift and subsequent *** 87%of k.MRA and 98%of Raindrop patients attained a monocular UNVA of J5（20/40）or better at 24mo,28%of k.MRA and 67%of Raindrop patients attained a monocular UNVA of J1（20/20）or better at ***：Both devices can be considered safe and effective,however,the results of corneal inlay implantation are mixed,and long-term patient satisfaction will lik.ly depend on subjective expectations about the capabilities of the *** in surgical technique and postoperative care within and between the two clinical trials diminishes the comparative power of this article.

Tunable photocycle k.netics of a hybrid bacteriorhodopsin/quantum dot system

The inclusion of inorganic nanoparticles in biological environments has led to the creation of hybrid nanosystems that are employed in a variety of applications. One such system includes quantum dots (QDs) coupled with the photoactive protein, bacteriorhodopsin (BR), which has been explored in developing enhanced photovoltaic devices. In this work. we have discovered that the k.netics of the BR photocycle can be manipulated using CdSe/CdS (core/shell) QDs. The photocycle lifetime of protein samples with varying QD amounts were monitored using time-resolved absorption spectroscopy. Concentration-dependent elongations of the bR and M state lifetimes were observed in the k.netic traces, thus suggesting that excitonic coupling occurs between BR and QDs. We propose that the pairing of BR with QDs has the potential to be utilized in protein-based computing applications, specifically for real-time holographic processors, which depend on the temporal dynamics of the bR and M photointermediates.

First report of small cell lung cancer with PTHrP-induced hypercalcemic pancreatitis causing disconnected duct syndrome

Cybersecurity Requirements for Management Information Systems

Cybersecurity is therefore one of the most important elements of security in developed countries. Especially since there is an overall trend towards cybersecurity in all aspects of life, I have found that the idea of cybersecurity is based on protecting critical facilities: The nation’s information infrastructure. Information systems, including e-government management systems, are managed by k.y state agencies. As with economic, scientific, commercial, and other systems, threats are threats to a nation’s national security. We have therefore found that many countries are preparing institutions capable of integrating cybersecurity into protection, development, and information security. This concept has become the most important concern of developed countries, which have secured all scientific possibilities and systems to achieve it. The electronic information network.has become an integral part of today’s daily lives in all places. In addition to personal uses, digital information is used, processed, stored, and shared. As this information increases and spreads, we have found that its protection has become more vital and has an effective impact on national security and technical progress.

The utility of coronary computed tomography angiography in elderly patients

Back.round Coronary computed tomography angiography(CCTA)is often avoided in elderly patients due to a presumption that a high proportion of patients will have heavily calcified plaque limiting an accurate *** sought to assess the image quality,luminal stenosis and utility of CCTA in elderly patients with suspected coronary artery disease(CAD)and stable chest *** Retrospective analysis of elderly patients(>75 years)who underwent 320-detector row CCTA between 2012–2017 at *** CCTA was analysed for degree maximal coronary stenosis by CAD-RADS classification,image quality by a 5-point Lik.rt score(1-poor,2-adequate,3-good,4-very good,5-excellent)and presence of artefact limiting *** 1011 elderly patients(62%females,78.8±3.3 years)were *** risk.factor prevalence included:hypertension(65%),hyperlipidaemia(48%),diabetes(19%)and smok.ng(21%).The CCTA was evaluable in 68%of patients which included 52%with non-obstructive CAD(50%)*** Lik.rt score was 3.1±0.6 corresponding to good image *** the 323(32%)of patients with a non-interpretable CCTA,80%were due to calcified plaque and 20%due to motion *** gender(P=0.009),age(P=0.02),excess motion(P78 years of age are significantly less lik.ly to have interpretable scans.

Joule Heating and Viscous Dissipation on Effects on MHD Flow over a Stretching Porous Sheet Subjected to Power Law Heat Flux in Presence of Heat Source

In the present work.we investigate the effects of Joule heating and viscous dissipation on MHD fluid flow. The viscous incompressible fluid flows over a stretching porous horizontal sheet subjected to power law heat flux in presence of heat source. The equations of momentum and heat transfer governing the problem are transformed into a system of dimensionless differential equations, which in turn solved numerically using shooting technique. The effects of the Joule heating parameter, permeability parameter, heat source parameter, Eck.rt number and Prandtl number are discussed and tabulated.
