A mathematical model for the unsteady forced convection over rotating stretchable disk in nanofluid containing microorganisms and taking into account Stefan blowing effect is presented theoretically and *** transfonnations are used to transform the governing boundary layer equations into non-linear ordinary differential equations,before being solved numerically using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg *** effect of the governing parameters on the dimensionless velocities,temperature,nanoparticle volume fraction(concentration),density of motile microorganisms as well as on the local skin friction,local nusselt,Sherwood number and motile microorganisms numbers are thoroughly examined via *** is observed that the Stefan blowing increases the local skin friction and reduces the heat transfer,mass transfer and microorganism transfer *** numerical results are in good agreement with those obtained from previous *** quantities results from this investigation show that the effects of higher disk stretching strength and suction case provides a good medium to enhance the heat,mass and microorganisms transfer compared to blowing case.

We solve the problem of petroleum products distribution through oil pipelines networks. This problem is modelled and solved using two techniques: A heuristic method like a multiobjective evolutionary algorithm and Mathematical Programming. In the multiobjective evolutionary algorithm, several objective functions are defined to express the goals of the solutions as well as the preferences among them. Some constraints are included as hard objective functions and some are evaluated through a repairing function to avoid infeasible solutions. In the Mathematical Programming approach the multiobjective optimization is solved using the Constraint Method in Mixed Integer Linear Programming. Some constraints of the mathematical model are nonlinear, so they are linearized. The results obtained with both methods for one concrete network are presented. They are compared with a hybrid solution, where we use the results obtained by Mathematical Programming as the seed of the evolutionary algorithm.

Multi-principal element alloys(MPEAs),inclusive of high entropy alloys(HEAs),continue to attract significant research attention owing to their potentially desirable *** MPEAs remain under extensive research,traditional(***)alloy production and testing are both costly and timeconsuming,partly due to the inefficiency of the early discovery process which involves experiments on a large number of alloy *** is intuitive to apply machine learning in the discovery of this novel class of materials,of which only a small number of potential alloys have been probed to *** this work,a proof-of-concept is proposed,combining generative adversarial networks(GAns)with discriminative neural networks(nns),to accelerate the exploration of novel *** applying the GAn model herein,it was possible to directly generate novel compositions for MPEAs,and to predict their *** verify the predictability of the model,alloys designed by the model are presented and a candidate produced-as *** suggests that the model herein offers an approach that can significantly enhance the capacity and efficiency of development of novel MPEAs.

Background:The validity and reliability of the Borg 6–20 rating of perceived exertion(RPE)scale has not been tested among Chinese people from China' *** purpose of this study was to test:1)The validity of Leung Chinese version and Wang Chinese version of the Borg 6–20 RPE scale;2)The reliability of Wang Chinese version RPE scale;and 3)The agreement of these two Chinese versions of the RPE scale among young healthy adults from China' ***:A total of 26 subjects(11 males,15 females;age 22.7±3.0 yrs)volunteered to *** performed one(n=3),two(n=14),or three trials(n=9)of the Bruce treadmill protocol test within 9.0±5.1 days(validation trials),and 30.4±27.9 days(reliability trials).Power output,heart rate,oxygen consumption,and RPE were ***:RPE was significantly correlated with power output(Leung version rs≥0.75,Wang version rs≥0.73),heart rate(HR)(Leung version rs≥0.84,Wang version rs≥0.87),and oxygen consumption(VO2)(Leung version rs≥0.80,Wang version rs≥0.81)(all pnterclass correlation was 0.94(pno significant differences in correlations(RPE against power output,HR and VO_(2))between trials existed for the reliability tests of Wang version *** significant differences in correlations(RPE against power output,HR and VO_(2))between the two Chinese versions of RPE scale ***:Both Chinese RPE scales are valid among young healthy Chinese mandarin speaking *** Wang scale is reliable,and the Leung and Wang scales show superior agreement with each other.

Influences of sulphureous impurity and micro-shrinkage on hydrogen assisted cracking (HAC) and fracture behavior of the super-strength low-alloy steel 40CrMnSzMo VA have been studied in this *** way of scanning electron microfractography (SEM)and electron probe microanalyser to investigate the fractography of material constantly strained to failure, it was found that the microscopic segregation of sulphureous impurity and micro-shrinkage not only increased strongly the susceptibility to hydrongen embrittlement (HE), but also made the HAC to initiate preferably in such regions with the assistant of stress induced diffusion of hydrogen. The microscopic observation revealed that the steel has commonly intergranular (IG) and quasi-cleavage (QC)features around the segregation of sulphureous impurity and micro-shrinkage for their strong effects of irreversible traps for hydrogen.

The problem of wave scattering by undulating bed topography in a two-layer ocean is investigated on the basis of linear theory. In a two-layer fluid with the upper layer having a free surface, there exist two modes of waves propagating at both the free surface of the upper layer and the interface between the two layers. Due to a wave train of a particular mode incident on an obstacle which is bottom-standing on the lower layer, reflected and transmitted waves of both modes are created by the obstacle. For small undulations on the bottom of the lower layer, a perturbation method is employed to obtain first-order reflection and transmission coefficients of both modes for incident wave trains of again both modes in terms of integrals involving the bed-shape fimction. For sinusoidal undulations, numerical results are presented graphically to illustrate the energy transfer between the waves of different modes by the undulating bed.

Pearlitic ductile irons(PDIs)are used in transportation and nuclear energy *** heavy loading situation,the service life of PDI is affected by numerous tribo *** this study,surface of the PDI is alloyed with WC-12%Co powder using a high power fibre *** wear properties of the base material and laser alloying samples were investigated by tribometer with various parameters,i.e.,temperature,load and sliding *** on experimental test,the load has maximum percentage of contribution and followed by sliding speed and working *** optimized tribological parameters by Grey relational analysis(GRA)were established and those values are closely matched with predicted ***,base material and laser alloying surfaces were examined through Vickers hardness machine,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and roughness *** laser altered specimen shows no defects and improves the wear properties than *** identified optimal tribological parameters are load of 30 n,speed of 0.5 m/s and working temperature of 300℃,and load of 30 n,speed of 0.5 m/s and working temperature of 200℃ for base metal and laser alloying samples,respectively.
