Vegetation of mono-layer landfill cover made of coal bottom ash and soil by compost application

Monolayer barriers called evapotranspiration (ET) covers were developed as alternative final cover systems in waste landfills but high-quality soil remains a limiting factor in these cover systems. Coal bottom ash was evaluated to be a very good alternative to soil in previous tests and a combination of soil (65% ***-1) and coal bottom ash (35% ***-1) was evaluated to be the most feasible materials for ET cover systems. In our pot test, selected manure compost as soil amendment for the composite ET cover system, which was made of soil and bottom ash at ca. 40 ***-1 application level was very effective to promote vegetation growth of three plants;namely, garden cosmos (Cosmosbipinnatus), Chinese bushclover (Lespedezacuneata), and leafy lespedeza (Lespedeza cyrtobotrya). To evaluate the effect of compost application on plant growth in an ET vegetative cover system, two couples of lysimeters, packed with soil and a mixture of soil and bottom ash, were installed in a pilot landfill cover system in 2007. Manure composts were applied at the rates of 0 and ?40 ***-11before sowing the five plant species, ***-bush (Amorphafruticosa), Japanese mugwort (Artemisia princeps, Arundinella hirta, Lespedezacuneata, and Lespedezacyrtobotrya). Unseeded native plant (green foxtail,Setaria viridis) was dominant in all treatments in the 1st year after installation while the growth of the sown plants significantly improved over the years. Total biomass productivity significantly increased with manure compost application, and more significantly increased in the composite ET cover made of soil and bottom ash treatment compared to the single soil ET cover, mainly due to more improved soil nutrient levels promoting vegetation growth and maintaining the vegetation system. Background There were limited data comparing the major clinical outcomes between first-generation （1G）-drug eluting stentts （DES） and second-generation （2G）-DES in patients with acute myocardial infarction （AMI） after percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI） during very long follow-up periods. We thought to investigate the comparative efficacy and safety of 2G-DES compared with 1G-DES in AMI patients during 5-year follow-up periods. Method A total of 1016 eligible AMI patients who underwent PCI with 1G-DES [paclitaxel-, sirolimus-, 1G-zotarolimus-eluting stent （endeavor~ or endeavor sprintS）, n = 554] or 2G-DES [2G-zotarolimus （endeavor resolute~）- or everolimus-eluting stent, n = 462] were enrolled. The primary endpoint was the occurrence of major adverse cardiac events （MACE） defined as total death, non-fatal myocardial infarction （MI）, target lesion revascularization （TLR）, target vessel revascularization （TVR）, non-target vessel revascularization （Non-TVR） and the secondary endpoint was stem thrombosis （ST） at 5 years. Results Two propensity score-ma- tched （PSM） groups （232 pairs, n = 464, C-statistic = 0.802） were generated. During the 5-year follow-up period, the cumulative incidence of TLR [hazard ratio （HR）： 3.133; 95% confidence interval （CI）： 1.539-6.376; P = 0.002], TVR （HR： 3.144; 95% CI： 1.59645.192; P = 0.001） and total revascularization rate （FIR： 1.874; 95% CI： 1.086-3.140; P = 0.023） were significantly higher in 1G-DES compared with 2G-DES after PSM. However, the incidence of total death, non-fatal MI and ST were similar between the two groups. Conclusion In this single-center and all-comers registry, 2G-DES＇s superiorities for TLR, TVP, and total revascularization in AMI patients suggested during 5-year clinical follow-up periods.

液态与固态酵素理化成分及抗氧化活性的研究

为了对比分析液态酵素与固态酵素这2类市场上常见的酵素产品的差异,以3种液态酵素和3种固态酵素为原料,对其理化成分、生物活性物质及其体外抗氧化活性进行了分析与比较。结果显示,液态酵素产品的总酸、还原糖、可溶性固形物、总酚、总黄酮、花青素含量均显著高于固态酵素,液态酵素超氧化物歧化酶(superoxide dismutase,SOD)活力较高,但差异很大,在193.23~1214.46 U/mL,显著高于固态酵素;2类酵素的蛋白酶、脂肪酶、α-淀粉酶活力均较低,液态酵素蛋白酶、脂肪酶活力显著高于固态酵素,而液态酵素几乎没有α-淀粉酶活力。不同酵素产品具有较强的抗氧化能力且差异较大,液态酵素1,1-二苯基-2-三硝基苯肼(1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl,DPPH)自由基清除能力的IC 50值在5.65~21.08μL/mL,而固态酵素最小的IC50值为29.77μL/mL,液态酵素的抗氧化能力显著强于固态酵素。该研究为帮助人们了解不同状态的酵素产品品质,正确看待酵素产品提供了参考,对于促进酵素行业健康发展具有指导意义。

Neuromodulation by ultrasound has recently received attention due to its noninvasive stimulation capability for treating brain *** there have been several studies related to ultrasonic neuromodulation,these studies have suffered from poor spatial resolution of the ultrasound and low repeatability with a fixed condition caused by conventional and commercialized ultrasound *** addition,the underlying physics and mechanisms of ultrasonic neuromodulation are still *** determine these mechanisms and accurately modulate neural circuits,researchers must have a precisely controllable ultrasound transducer to conduct experiments at the cellular ***,we introduce a new MEMS ultrasound stimulation system for modulating neurons or brain slices with high spatial *** piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducers(pMUTs)with small membranes(submm membranes)generate enough power to stimulate neurons and enable precise modulation of neural *** designed the ultrasound transducer as an array structure to enable localized modulation in the target *** addition,we integrated a cell culture chamber with the system to make it compatible with conventional cell-based experiments,such as in vitro cell cultures and brain *** this work,we successfully demonstrated the functionality of the system by showing that the number of responding cells is proportional to the acoustic intensity of the applied *** also demonstrated localized stimulation capability with high spatial resolution by conducting experiments in which cocultured cells responded only around a working transducer.

采用响应面分析法优化金银花凉茶的浸提工艺条件,以金银花、菊花、夏枯草和鱼腥草为原料,绿原酸得率为指标.在单因素试验基础上,应用Box-Benhnken中心组合设计试验,对浸提工艺影响较大的料液比、浸提时间、浸提温度3个工艺参数进行优化.结果表明:金银花等原料的绿原酸水提工艺的最佳条件为不粉碎原料、固定金银花1g,菊花、夏枯草和鱼腥草质量比为2∶2∶1共1.5g,料液比为1∶32,浸提时间为71min,浸提温度为78℃,浸提2次,在该条件下验证绿原酸得率达到3.01%,接近于预测值3.04%.研究表明,优化得到的回归模型具有良好的预测能力.

AIM： To investigate the effect of Garden/a fasm/noides （GJ） on cerulein-induced acute pancreatitis （AP） in mice. METHODS： C57BL/6 mice weighing 18-20 g were divided into three groups. （1） Normal salinetreated group, （2） treatment with GJ at a dose of 0.1 g/kg, （3） treatment with GJ at a dose of 1 g/kg. GJ was administered orally （n = 6 per group） for 1 wk. Three hours later, the mice were given anintraperitoneal injection of cerulein （50 μg/kg）, a stable cholecystokinin （CCK） analogue, every hour for a total of 6h as described previously. The mice were sacrificed at 6 h after completion of cerulein injections. Blood samples were obtained to determine serum amylase, lipase and cytokine levels. The pancreas was rapidly removed for morphologic examination and scoring. A portion of pancreas was stored at -70℃ and prepared for the measurement of tissue myeloperoxidase （MPO） activity, an indicator of neutrophil sequestration, and for reverse-transcriptase PCR （RT-PCR） and real-time PCR measurements. RESULTS： Treatment with G.1 decreased significantly the severity of pancreatitis and pancreatitis-associated lung injury. Treatment with G.1 attenuated the severity of AP compared with saline-treated mice, as shown by reduction in pancreatic edema, neutrophil infiltration, serum amylase and lipase levels, serum cytokine levels, and mRNA expression of multiple inflammatory mediators. CONCLUSION： These results suggest that GJ attenuated the severity of AP as well as pancreatitisassociated lung injury.

Linear synchronization and circuit implementation of chaotic system with complete amplitude control

Although chaotic signals are considered to have great potential applications in radar and communication engineering, their broadband spectrum makes it difficult to design an applicable amplifier or an attenuator for amplitude conditioning. Moreover, the transformation between a unipolar signal and a bipolar signal is often required. In this paper, a more intelligent hardware implementation based on field programmable analog array （FPAA） is constructed for chaotic systems with complete amplitude control. Firstly, two chaotic systems with complete amplitude control are introduced, one of which has the property of offset boosting with total amplitude control, while the other has offset boosting and a parameter for partial control. Both cases can achieve complete amplitude control including amplitude rescaling and offset boosting. Secondly, linear synchronization is established based on the special structure of chaotic system. Finally, experimental circuits are constructed on an FPAA where the predicted amplitude control is realized through only two independent configurable analog module （CAM） gain values.

采用响应面分析法优化山楂中总黄酮超声辅助提取的工艺条件.以总黄酮(以金丝桃苷计)得率为指标,在单因素试验的基础上,应用了响应面中的Box-Benhnken模型设计试验,对提取工艺影响较大的山楂粉碎粒度、超声时间、料液比、超声功率4个工艺参数进行优化.结合实际操作,最佳的工艺条件为粉碎粒度40目,超声时间33min,料液比1∶33(g/mL),超声功率160W,在此条件下,总黄酮得率为5.21%,与预测值5.26%基本相符.

Thermal Conductivity Measurement of Zr-ZrO<sub>2</sub>Simulated Inert Matrix Nuclear Fuel Pellet

For an evaluation of a thermal conductivity of Zr + 30 vol% ZrO2 simulated inert matrix nuclear fuel pellet, a simulated fuel pellet was fabricated using a hot-pressing method at 800°C in a vacuum and at a 20 MPa load. And several thermophysical properties of the simulated inert matrix fuel pellet were measured and calculated. The thermal diffusivity and linear thermal expansion as a function of temperature of the simulated fuel pellet were measured using a laser flash method and a dilatometry, respectively. Finally, based on the experimental data, the thermal conductivity of the simulated inert matrix fuel pellet was calculated and evaluated.
