Specific grades of high-entropy alloys(HEAs)can provide opportunities for optimizing properties toward high-temperature *** this work,the Co-based HEA with a chemical composition of Co_(47.5)Cr_(30)Fe_(7.5)Mn_(7.5)Ni_(7.5)(at%)was *** refractory metallic elements hafnium(Hf)and molybdenum(Mo)were added in small amounts(1.5at%)because of their well-known positive effects on high-temperature *** characteristics were comprehensively explored by using a two-dimensional cross-sectional method and extracted by using a three-dimensional electrolytic extraction *** results revealed that the addition of Hf can reduce Al_(2)O_(3)inclusions and lead to the formation of more stable Hf-rich inclusions as the main *** addition cannot influence the inclusion type but could influence the inclusion characteristics by affecting the physical parameters of the HEA *** calculated coagulation coefficient and collision rate of Al_(2)O_(3)inclusions were higher than those of HfO_(2)inclusions,but the inclusion amount played a larger role in the agglomeration behavior of HfO_(2)and Al_(2)O_(3)*** impurity level and active elements in HEAs were the crucial factors affecting inclusion formation.

In combination with theoretical calculations,experiments were conducted to investigate the evolution behavior of nonmetallic inclusions(NMIs)during the manufacture of large-scale heat-resistant steel ingots using 9CrMoCoB heat-resistant steel and CaF_(2)–CaO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)–B_(2)O_(3)electroslag remelting(ESR)-type slag in an 80-t industrial ESR *** main types of NMI in the consumable electrode comprised pure alumina,a multiphase oxide consisting of an Al_(2)O_(3)core and liquid CaO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)–MnO shell,and M_(23)C_(6)carbides with an MnS *** Al_(2)O_(3)and MnS inclusions had higher precipitation temperatures than the M_(23)C_(6)-type carbide under equilibrium and nonequilibrium solidification ***,inclusions can act as nucleation sites for carbide layer *** ESR process completely removed the liquid CaO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)–MnO oxide and MnS inclusion with a carbide shell,and only the Al_(2)O_(3)inclusions and Al_(2)O_(3)core with a carbide shell occupied the remelted *** M_(23)C_(6)-type carbides in steel were determined as Cr_(23)C_(6)based on the analysis of transmission electron microscopy *** substitution of Cr with W,Fe,or/and Mo in the Cr_(23)C_(6)lattice caused slight changes in the lattice parameter of the Cr_(23)C_(6)***,Cr_(21.34)Fe_(1.66)C_(6),(Cr_(19)W_(4)C_(6),Cr_(18.4)Mo_(4.6)C_(6),and Cr_(16)Fe_(5)Mo_(2)C_(6)can match the fraction pattern of Cr_(23)C_(6)*** Al_(2)O_(3)inclusions in the remelted ingot formed due to the reduction of CaO,SiO_(2),and MnO components in the liquid *** increased Al content in liquid steel or the higher supersaturation degree of Al_(2)O_(3)precipitation in the remelted ingot than that in the electrode can be attributed to the evaporation of CaF_(2)and the increase in CaO content in the ESR-type slag.

Four types of Doenjang were prepared from 100% （w/w） defatted soybean （DFS）, a mixture of 80% （w/w） defatted soybean and 20% （w/w） glasswort （DFS-G）, a mixture of 80% （w/w） defatted soybean and 20% （w/w） rice （DFS-R）, or a mixture of 60% （w/w） defatted soybean, 20% （w/w） glasswort and 20% （w/w） rice （DFS-GR）. Maturity of the DFS-G doenjang was the highest, which was proportional to total amino acid content. Antioxidative compounds and total amino acids were relatively higher in the doenjang with glasswort （DFS-G, DFS-GR） than those in the other preparations （DFS, DFS-R）. Succinic and pyroglutamic acid were relatively higher but levulinic acid was relatively lower in the doenjang with glasswort compared to those in the others. Mn, Fe, Zn, and Al were relatively higher in the doenjang with glasswort compared to those in the others. Volatile organic compounds were differently produced depending on doenjang type and influenced definitely by addition of glasswort and rice. Some bacterial communities responsible for meju fermentation were changed during ripening for doenjang whereas others were conserved.

This study consists of experimental measurement of the phosphide capacity of the CaO-CaF 2 flux in equilibrium with SiMn alloy at 1823 K,and includes the thermodynamic analysis of the stability of reducing refining slags under wet atmospheric cooling *** phosphide capacity increased with increasing CaO concentration in the flux,followed by a constant *** composition for the saturating capacity is in good accordance to the saturation content of CaO in the CaO-CaF 2 flux at 1823 *** the Vee ratio（=CaO/SiO 2） of the reducing dephosphorization slag is greater than about 1.35,CaO（lime） and Ca 2 SiO 4（dicalcium silicate） phases appeared during cooling cycle based on the CaO-SiO 2-CaF 2 phase diagram,resulting in an increase of the evolution rate of PH 3 gas due to an increase in the reaction ***,when the Vee ratio of the slag is lower than about 1.35,CaF 2,Ca 4 Si 2 F 2 O 7（cuspidine）,and CaSiO 3（wollastonite） phases appeared from the phase diagram,resulting in negligible amount of PH 3 evolution during cooling because the reaction between Ca 3 P 2 and H 2 O was restricted to the surface of bulk slag.

铁合金由于其在炼钢工业中不可或缺的作用而变得越来越重要,随着市场对钢材质量的需求大幅提高,因铁合金中的杂质直接影响钢材质量,进一步凸显了铁合金品质的重要性.为了更好地理解铁合金中主要微量元素和夹杂物添加至钢液中的变化及其在钢液中的行为,本文分析了铁合金的应用及其发展趋势,重点概述了铁合金中的一些微量元素和杂质对钢中夹杂物特性的影响,确定了不同铁合金中可能存在的有害夹杂物.总体而言,铁合金中夹杂物对钢的洁净度有如下影响:①锰铁和锰硅合金中的MnO、MnS、MnO-SiO_(2)-MnS夹杂物对钢材质量有阶段性影响.②锰铁和钼铁合金中大尺寸SiO_(2)夹杂物(200μm)对钢材的洁净度影响尚不清晰,添加硅铁合金前需考虑Al、Ca含量的影响,最后对铁合金未来发展提出了建议.

The latest publications regarding the development of technology to control inclusion compositions focusing on MgO?Al2O3 spinel inclusions were summarized in this review article. The problems caused by spinel inclusions, which affect practice as well as products were shown. The formation mechanism of MgO?Al2O3 spinel inclusions is secondly explained thermodynamically from the view points of chemistries of molten steels and slag compositions. Furthermore, crystallization behaviour of spinel was introduced. Countermeasures conducted in practices and laboratories were shown along with some problems still left that should be solved in the future.

This study presents a novel process for the fabrication of metal-intermetallic composites with a 3D bicontinuous structure, achieved through a combination of liquid metal dealloying(LMD) and subsequent alloying. Initially, porous Ti structures are produced using the LMD process, followed by immersion in a molten Mg-3Al(wt%) metal. Due to the higher thermodynamic miscibility of Al with Ti compared to Mg, the concentration of Al in the Ti matrix increases as the immersion time increases. This results in a sequential phase transition within the Ti matrix: α-Ti → Ti_(3)Al → Ti Al. The phase transition considerably affects the hardness and strength of the composite material,with the Mg-Ti_(3)Al-Ti Al composite exhibiting a maximum hardness nearly twice as high as that of the conventional Mg-Ti composite. This innovative process holds potential for the development of various bicontinuous metal-intermetallic composites.

Objective: To investigate the effect of hydrogen-rich Korean Red Ginseng(KRG) water(HRGW) mixture on the spermatogenesis and sperm motility of mice of different ages. Methods: Eighty young(3 month-old) and aged(12 month-old) male mice were randomly assigned to 4 groups(n=10 per group) including control group, hydrogen-rich water(HRW) group(10 m L/kg daily), KRG group(50 mg/kg daily) and HRGW group(10 m L/kg HRW and 50 mg/kg KRG daily) by an oral zoned needle for 4 weeks. Sperm count and motility were measured using sperm suspension released from cauda epididymis. Serum follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), luteinizing hormone(LH), testosterone, and reactive oxygen species(ROS) in serum have also been estimated. Tubular changes were examined through histological hematoxylin and eosin staining. Expression of antioxidation(PPx3, PPx4, GSTm5 and GPx4), spermatogenesis(inhibin-α, neptin-2 and CREM), antiaging(SIRT1 and SIRT2), and angiogenesis [visfatin and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)] related genes were examined through realtime polymerase chain reaction. Results: HRW and KRG treatment stimulated spermatogenesis followed by increasing sperm production and sperm motility(P<0.05). These effects were strengthened synergistically by a HRGW mixture(P<0.05 or P<0.01). HRGW greatly increased the expressions of antioxidation, antiaging, spermatogenesis related genes and VEGF especially in aged mice(P<0.05). Serum testosterone and FSH levels also increased, while serum ROS level decreased(all P<0.05). Conclusion: HRGW increases sperm production and motility by enhancing antioxidation and stimulating spermatogenesis and sex hormone production, particularly in aged mice.

Lymphangioma usually occurs in children and usually involves the skin. Mesenteric lymphangioma is extremely rare in adults. Typically, lymphangioma appears on computed tomography (CT) as a lower attenuation of a cystic mass, however, some cases appear to be a solid mass. We describe the CT and 18F-FDG positron emission tomography/CT appearance in a case of jejunal and mesenteric cavernous lymphangi-omatosis mimicking metastasis in an adult patient with rectal cancer.
