Wearable pressure sensors having versatile device structures have been extensively investigated to achieve high sensitivity under mechanical ***,we introduce piezoelectric pressure sensors based on fabrics woven using polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)weft and polyethylene terephthalate(PET)warp yarns with different weave structures:1/1(plain),2/2,and 3/3 weft rib *** dependence of the pressure-sensing performance on the weave pattern is demonstrated with an actual large-scale fabric up to the~2 m *** optimized pressure sensor with a 2/2 weft rib pattern produced a high sensitivity of 83 mV N−1,which was 245%higher than that of the 1/1 *** detection performance of the optimal fabric was extensively evaluated with a variety of ambient input sources,such as pressing,bending,twisting,and crumpling,as well as various human ***,a large allfabric pressure sensor with arrayed touch pixel units demonstrated highly sensitive and stable sensing performance.

The trend in video viewing has been evolving beyond simply providing a multi-view ***,a function that allows selection and viewing of a clip from a multi-view service that captures a specific range or object has been *** particular,the free-view service is an extended concept of multi-view and provides a freer ***,since numerous videos and additional data are required for its construction,all of the clips constituting the content cannot be simultaneously *** certain clips are selected and provided to the *** the video is not the preferred video,change request is made,and a delay occurs during retransmission from the *** due to frequent re-requests degrade the overall quality of *** free-view services,selectively transmitting the video according to the user’s desired viewpoint and region of interest within the limited network of available videos is *** this study,we propose a method of screening and providing the correct video based on objects in the *** on the method of recognizing the object in each clip,we designed a method of setting its priority based on information about the object’s location for each *** the transmission and receiving process using this information,the selected video can be rapidly recognized and ***,we present a service system configuration method and propose video selection examples for free-view services.

Lesion localization of global aphasia without hemiparesis by overlapping of the brain magnetic resonance images

Global aphasia without hemiparesis is a striking stroke syndrome involving language impairment without the typically manifested contralateral hemiparesis, which is usually seen in patients with global aphasia following large left perisylvian lesions. The objective of this study is to elucidate the specific areas for lesion localization of global aphasia without hemiparesis by retrospectively studying the brain magnetic resonance images of six patients with global aphasia without hemiparesis to define global aphasia without hemiparesis-related stroke lesions before overlapping the images to visualize the most overlapped area. Talairach coordinates for the most overlapped areas were converted to corresponding anatomical regions. Lesions where the images of more than three patients overlapped were considered significant. The overlapped global aphasia without hemiparesis related stroke lesions of six patients revealed that the significantly involved anatomi- cal lesions were as follows： frontal lobe, sub-gyral, sub-lobar, extra-nuclear, corpus callosum, and inferior frontal gyrus, while caudate, claustrum, middle frontal gyrus, limbic lobe, temporal lobe, superior temporal gyrus, uncus, anterior cingulate, parahippocampal, amygdala, and subcallosal gyrus were seen less significantly involved. This study is the first to demonstrate the heterogeneous anatomical involvement in global aphasia without hemiparesis by overlapping of the brain magnetic resonance images.

Background:To date,there is controversy regarding unilateral versus bilateral stent placement in patients with malignant hilar biliary strictures(MHBSs).The aim of this study was to compare the clinical outcomes and complications of unilateral and bilateral(stent-in-stent method)stent placements for these ***:We conducted a multicenter retrospective analysis of patients with inoperable MHBS who underwent endoscopic self-expandable metal stent(SEMS)placement from January 2009 to December *** groups classified according to the stent procedure method were compared for demographic,procedural,and postprocedure *** analysis for patency loss and overall survival was also ***:A total of 236 subjects were included.A superior technical success rate was found in the unilateral stent group(98.8%vs.82.5%,P<0.001),whereas the clinical success rate was higher in the bilateral group(85.7%vs.70.5%,P=0.028).There was no significant difference with respect to complications or patency loss,and the bilateral group had better overall survival(P<0.01).In the Cox proportional hazard model,MHBSs from lymph node compression were associated with a higher risk of death(HR=9.803,P=0.003).In contrast,bilateral SEMS insertion showed reduced postprocedural mortality(HR=0.316,P=0.001).Conclusions:Y-type stent-in-stent bilateral SEMSs are technically difficult but demonstrated more favorable overall survival for palliative bile drainage of inoperable MHBS patients compared to unilateral insertions.

Stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability. Most stroke patients regain their function partially or fully during the first 3-6 months depending on location and size of the lesion. During this functional recovery phase, cortical reorganization or plasticity occurs, and physiological responsiveness or neuronal excitability is altered in the ipsilesional and contralesional areas. However, how to drive successful plastic changes or successful stroke recovery are not fully elucidated yet.

Background: Despite many reports on the diagnostic yield of cytology from endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FNA), inter-slide differences are unknown. This prospective study aimed to compare diagnostic yield and cellular characteristics of bottom slides(BS) and top slides(TS) from EUSFNA cytology performed without an on-site cytopathologist. Methods: In patients with suspected pancreatic cancer on previous imaging explorations, a single endoscopist performed EUS-FNA and obtained 2 sets of cytology slide(8 BS and 8 TS), 1 cellblock slide, and 1 biopsy slide. Both slide sets were randomly assigned. A cytopathologist with more than 10 years of expertise in pancreatic cytopathology blindly inspected and compared two slide sets. Results: In total, 73 specimens [42 head(57.5%), 16 body(21.9%), and 15 tail(20.5%)] were acquired for final analysis. Seventy-one cases were finally diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The sensitivity and specificity of BS were 80.3% and 100.0%; and of TS 78.9% and 100.0%, respectively. In analyzing inter-slide difference, 66 cases(90.4%) showed consistent results between BS and TS. However, seven(9.6%) were positive only in one slide sets(4 BS and 3 TS). The proportions of specimens more than moderate and high cellularity were 75.3% and 60.3% in both slide sets( P > 0.99), and the proportion of artifact-free sets were 50.7%, and 52.1% for the BS and TS, respectively( P = 0.869). Conclusions: Although BS and TS exhibited highly consistent diagnostic yields in cytologic smears from EUS-FNA, the proportion of inter-slide discordance is clinically considerable. Both slide sets need to be examined if there is no on-site cytopathologist.

Bird-mimetic Wing System of Flapping-wing Micro Air Vehicle with Autonomous Flight Control Capability

A micro air vehicle with a bird-mimetic up-down and twisting wing drive system was developed in this study. The Flap- ping-wing Micro Air Vehicle （FMAV）, with a 50 cm wingspan and a double-crank drive system, performed successful flights of up to 23 min. The performance and capabilities of the FMAV were enhanced by adapting a number of unique features, such as a bird-mimetic wing shape with a span-wise camber and an up-down and twisting wing drive mechanism with double-crank linkages, This lift-enhancing design by mimicking the flapping mechanism of a bird＇s wing enabled the 210 g FMAV to fly autonomously in an outdoor field under wind speeds of less than 5 m.s-1. Autonomous flight was enabled by installing a flight control computer with a micro-electro-mechanical gyroscope and accelerometers, along with a micro video camera and an ultralight wireless communication system inside the fuselage. A comprehensive wind tunnel test shows that the FMAV with a high-camber wing and double-crank mechanism generates more lift and less net thrust than the FMAV with a flat wing and single-crank mechanism, which confirms the improved performance of the developed FMAV, as well as the superior slow flying or hovering capabilities of the FMAV with a high-camber wing and double-crank wing drive system.

BACKGROUND It is usually difficult to adequately conduct percutaneous ultrasound-guided radiofrequency(RF) ablation for hepatocellular carcinomas(HCCs) abutting the diaphragm. Our hypothesis was that the subphrenic location of HCC could have an effect on the long-term therapeutic outcomes after hepatic resection and RF *** To compare the long-term therapeutic outcomes of hepatic resection and percutaneous RF ablation for HCCs abutting the *** A total of 143 Child-Pugh class A patients who had undergone hepatic resection(n = 80) or percutaneous ultrasound-guided RF ablation(n = 63) for an HCC(≤ 3 cm) abutting the right diaphragm were included. Cumulative local tumor progression(LTP), cumulative intrahepatic distant recurrence(IDR), disease-free survival(DFS), and overall survival(OS) rates were estimated. Prognostic factors for DFS and OS were analyzed. Complications were *** The cumulative IDR rate, DFS rate, and OS rate for the hepatic resection group and RF ablation group at 5 years were "35.9% vs 65.8%", "64.1% vs 18.3%", and"88.4% vs 68.7%", respectively. Hepatic resection was an independent prognostic factor for DFS(P ≤ 0.001; hazard ratio, 0.352; 95%CI: 0.205, 0.605; with RF ablation as the reference category); however, treatment modality was not an independent prognostic factor for OS. The LTP rate was 46.6% at 5 years for the RF ablation group. The major complication rate was not significantly different between the groups(P = 0.630). The rate of occurrence of peritoneal seeding was higher in the RF ablation group(1.3% vs 9.5%, P = 0.044).CONCLUSION Although OS was not significantly different between patients who had gone hepatic resection or percutaneous RF ablation for HCCs abutting the diaphragm,DFS was better in the hepatic resection group.

Proper stimulation to affected cerebral hemisphere would promote the functional recovery of patients with stroke. Effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on cortical excitability can be can be altered by the stimulation frequency, intensity and duration. There has been no consistent recognition regarding the best stimulation frequency and intensity. This study reviews the intervention effects of repetitive transcranial stimulation on motor impairment, dysphagia, visuospatial neglect and aphasia, and summarizes the stimulation frequency, intensity and area for repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation to yield the best therapeutic effects.
