This stud. presents new thickness maps of post-Cretaceous sed.mentary strata beneath central Lond.n. 〉1100 borehole record. were analysed. Lond.n Clay is thickest in the west; thicker d.posits extend.as a narrow finger along the axis of the Lond.n Basin. More minor variations are probably governed.by periglacial erosion and.faulting. A shallow anticline in the Chalk in north-central Lond.n has resulted.in a pronounced.thinning of succeed.ng strata. These results are compared.to the position of Lond.n Und.rground.railway tunnels. Although tunnels have been bored.through the upper levels of Lond.n Clay where thick, some tunnels and.stations are positioned.within the und.rlying, more lithologically variable, Lower Lond.n Tertiary d.posits. Although less complex than other geological mod.ls of the Lond.n Basin, this technique is more objective and.uses a higher d.nsity of borehole d.ta. The high resolution of the resulting maps emphasises the power of mod.lling an expansive d.taset in a rigorous but simnle fashion.

BACKGROUNd.Wilson's d.sease(Wd.is a rare metabolic d.sord.r of copper accumulation in organs such as liver,brain,and.*** and.treatments are challenging in settings,where ad.anced.d.agnostic tests are unavailable,copper chelating agents are frequently scarce,healthcare professionals lack d.sease awareness,and.med.cal follow-ups are *** d.agnoses and.treatments help prevent complications,improve patients’quality of life,and.ensure a normal life *** clinical presentations and.outcomes of Wd.can vary within a single *** SUMMARY We present the cases of two siblings(19 and.27 years)from a consanguineous family in rural Ecuad.r,d.agnosed.as having Wd.d.ring a family *** male patient,d.agnosed.at age 19 after his brother’s d.ath from acute liver failure,presented.with compensated.cirrhosis,neurological symptoms,and.bilateral Kayser-Fleischer *** d.veloped.progressive neurological d.terioration d.ring an irregular treatment with d.penicillamine d.e to med.cation *** cond.tion improved.upon switching to trientine tetrahyd.ochlorid.,and.his neurological symptoms improved.over an 8-year period.of *** female patient,d.agnosed.at age 10,exhibited.only biochemical *** treatment history was similar;however,she remained.asymptomatic without d.sease progression over the same follow-up *** d.scuss the potential influence of epigenetic mechanisms and.mod.fier genes on the various phenotypes,emphasizing the need.for research in these areas to optimize therapeutic *** Our patients’med.cal histories show how early d.agnosis and.treatment can prevent d.sease progression;and.how suboptimal treatments impact d.sease outcomes.

Cellulosic ethanol has been id.ntified.as a crucial biofuel resource d.e to its sustainability and.abund.nce of cellulose feed.tocks. However, current method. to obtain glucose from lignocellulosic biomass are ineffective d.e to recalcitrance of plant biomass. Insects have evolved.end.genous and.symbiotic enzymes to efficiently use lignocellulosic material as a source of metabolic glucose. Even though trad.tional biochemical method. have been used.to id.ntify and.characterize these enzymes, the ad.ancement of genomic and.proteomic research tools are expected.to allow new insights into insect d.gestion of cellulose. The optical absorption of semicond.cting AgBr nanocubes is significantly increased.by up to 5 times in the measured.spectral range when they are bond.d.to the surface of d.electric SiO2 nanospheres through electrostatic interaction. The absorption enhancement factor d.pend. on the wavelength and.the size of the SiO2 nanoparticles （NPs）. Finite-d.fference time-d.main calculations provid. the nearfield.intensity mapping of a heterostructure that is composed.of a AgBr nanocube in close contact with a SiO2 nanosphere. The electric-field.d.stributions ind.cate the field.enhancement near the SiO2/AgBr interface d.e to light scattering and.absorption enhancement in the AgBr nanocube, implying that the enhanced.scattering nearfield.increases the absorption cross section of the AgBr nanocube. The absorption cross-section spectra calculated.using Mie theory agree with the experimental observations. This d.scovery shed. light on the utilization of d.electric spherical particles to increase the absorption in semicond.ctor NPs, thus improving the light-harvesting efficiency for solar-energy conversion.
