Proton exchange membrane(PEM)water electrolysis represents a promising technology for green hydrogen production,but its widespread deployment is greatly hindered by the indispensable usage of platinum group metal catalysts,especially iridium(Ir)based materials for the energy-demanding oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Herein,we report a new sequential precipitation approach to the synthesis of mixed Ir-nickel(Ni)oxy-hydroxide supported on antimony-doped tin oxide(ATO)nanoparticles(IrNiyO_(x)/ATO,20 wt.%(Ir+Ni),y=0,1,2,and 3),aiming to reduce the utilisation of scarce and precious Ir while maintaining its good acidic OER *** tested in strongly acidic electrolyte(0.1 M HClO_(4)),the optimised IrNi1Ox/ATO shows a mass activity of 1.0 mAµgIr^(−1) and a large turnover frequency of 123 s^(−1) at an overpotential of 350 mV,as well as a comparatively small Tafel slope of 50 mV dec^(−1),better than the IrOx/ATO control,particularly with a markedly reduced Ir loading of only 19.7µgIr cm^(−2).Importantly,IrNi1O_(x)/ATO also exhibits substantially better catalytic stability than other reference catalysts,able to continuously catalyse acidic OER at 10 mA cm^(−2) for 15 h without obvious *** in-situ synchrotron-based x-ray absorption spectroscopy confirmed that the Ir^(3+)/Ir^(4+)species are the active sites for the acidic ***,the performance of IrNi1Ox/ATO was also preliminarily evaluated in a membrane electrode assembly,which shows better activity and stability than other reference *** IrNi1Ox/ATO reported in this work is a promising alternative to commercial IrO_(2) based catalysts for PEM electrolysis.

Background The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic on breastfeeding women and to identify predictors of maternal mental health and *** Mothers aged≥18 years with a breast-fed infant≤18 months of age during the COVID-19 pandemic in Beijing,China,completed a *** analysis of lockdown consequences was performed and predictors of these outcomes were examined using stepwise linear *** Of 2233 participants,29.9%,20.0%and 34.7%felt down,lonely,and worried,respectively,during the lockdown;however,85.3%felt able to *** maternal mental health was predicted by maternal(younger age,higher education)and infant(older age,lower gestation)characteristics,and social circumstances(husband unemployed or working from home,receiving advice from family,having enough space for the baby,living close to a park or green space).Conversely,better maternal mental health was predicted by higher income,employment requiring higher qualifications,more personal space at home,shopping or walking>once/week and lack of impact of COVID-19 on job or *** with higher education,more bedrooms,fair division of household chores and attending an online mother and baby group>once/week reported better *** The findings highlight maternal characteristics and circumstances that predict poorer mental health and reduced coping which could be used to target interventions in any future public health emergencies requiring social restrictions.

Insulin can stimulate hepatic expression of carbohydrate-responsive element-binding protein （ChREBP）. As recent studies revealed potential metabolic beneficial effects of ChREBP, we asked whether its expression can also be regulated by the dietary polyphenoi curcumin. We also aimed to determine mechanisms underlying ChREBP stimulation by insulin and curcumin. The effect of insulin on ChREBP expression was assessed in mouse hepatocytes, while the effect of curcumin was assessed in mouse hepatocytes and with curcumin garage in mice. Chemical inhibitors for insulin signaling molecules were utilized to identify involved signaling molecules, and the involvement of p21-activated protein kinase 1 （Pakl） was determined with its chemical inhibitor and Pokl-/- hepatocytes. We found that both insulin and curcumin-stimulated ChREBP expression in Akt-independent but MEK/ERK-dependent manner, involving the inactivation of the transcriptional repressor Oct-1. Aged Pokl-/- mice showed reduced body fat volume. Pakl inhibition or its genetic deletion attenuated the stimulatory effect of insulin or curcumin on ChREBP expression. Our study hence suggests the existence of a novel signaling cascade Pakl/MEK/ERK/Oct-1 for both insulin and curcumin in exerting their glucose-lowering effect via promoting hepatic ChREBP production, supports the recognition of beneficial functions of ChREBP, and brings us a new overview on dietary polyphenols.

As a key transcription factor in the brassinosteroid (BR) signaling pathway, the activity and expression ofBES1 (BRI1-EMS-SUPPRESSOR 1) are stringently regulated. BES1 degradation is mediated by ubiquitinrelated 26S proteasomal and autophagy pathways, which attenuate and terminate BR signaling;however,the opposing deubiquitinases (DUBs) are still unknown. Here, we showed that the ubp12-2w/13-3 doublemutant phenocopies the BR-deficient dwarf mutant, suggesting that the two DUBs UBP12/UBP13 antagonize ubiquitin-mediated degradation to stabilize BES1. These two DUBs can trim tetraubiquitin with K46 and K63 linkages in vitro. UBP12/BES1 and UBP13/BES1 complexes are localized in bothcytosol and nuclei. UBP12/13 can deubiquitinate polyubiquitinated BES1 in vitro and in planta, andUBP12 interacts with and deubiquitinates both inactive, phosphorylated BES1 and active, dephosphorylated BES1 in vivo. UBP12 overexpression in BES1OE plants significantly enhances cell elongation in hypocotyls and petioles and increases the ratio of leaf length to width compared with BES1OE or UBP12OE *** elongation and etiolation result from elevated BES1 levels because BES1 degradation is retardedby UBP12 in darkness or in light with BR. Protein degradation inhibitor experiments show that the majorityof BES1 can be degraded by either the proteasomal or the autophagy pathway, but a minor BES1 fractionremains pathway specific. In conclusion, UBP12/UBP13 deubiquitinate BES1 to stabilize the latter as a positive regulator for BR responses.

Hydrogen energy is expected to be an“ideal fuel”in the era of *** discovery,de-velopment,and modification of high-performance hydrogen storage materials are the keys to the fu-ture development of solid-state hydrogen storage and hydrogen energy *** hydride(MgH_(2)),with its high hydrogen storage capacity,abundant natural reserves,and environmental friend-liness,has been extensively ***,we briefly summarize the typical structure and hy-drogenation/dehydrogenation reaction mechanism of MgH_(2)and provide a comprehensive overview of strategies to effectively tune the thermodynamics and kinetics of Mg-based materials,such as alloy-ing,nanosizing,the introduction of additives,and composite *** substantial efforts,great achievements have been achieved,such as lower absorption/desorption temperatures and better cy-cling ***,some pivotal issues remain to be addressed,such as unfavorable hydro-genation/dehydrogenation factors,harsh conditions,slow kinetics,incomplete dehydrogenation,low hy-drogen purity,expensive catalysts,and a lack of valid exploration of mechanisms in the hydrogena-tion/dehydrogenation ***,some future development prospects of MgH_(2)in energy-efficient conversion and storage have been presented,including advanced manufacturing ways,stabilization of nanostructures,the introduction of additives combined with structural modification,and utilization of advanced characterization techniques.

There has been little study of the biogeography of soil archaeal communities on a regional *** a previous study,we found that variation in bacterial communities on the Tibetan Plateau was strongly determined by soil C:N ***,using an 16 SrRNA archaeal primer,we characterized the archaeal communities of 94 Tibetan soil samples scattered across an area of 1,000,000 *** results showed that Thaumarchaeota(79.27%) and Halobacteria(8.75%) were the dominant phyla across all the soils,together accounting for at least 88%of the archaeal reads in every *** terms of alpha diversity,OTU and phylogenetic diversity(PD) were both negatively correlated with soil moisture(r=-0.47,P < 0.01;r=-0.35,P< 0.01,respectively),and soil moisture also had a significant influence on soil archaeal community *** distance,a potential measure of the legacy effect of evolutionary and dispersal factors,was less important than measured environmental factors in determining the broad scale archaeal community pattern across the Tibetan *** close correlation was encountered between soil bacterial diversity and archaeal *** findings provide new insights into the ecology of soil archaea in semi-arid environments,for example the strong influence of soil moisture on archaeal community composition and *** correlations may allow better prediction of future responses of soil archaea to environmental change.

目的探讨直接应用活菌苗在肠道内表达核小体通用性Th表位抗原诱导系统性红斑狼疮（SLE）样小鼠模型口服免疫耐受的可行性。方法以同系凋亡淋巴细胞免疫BALB／c小鼠制备SLE样小鼠模型，喂饲构建的重组减毒鼠伤寒沙门菌菌株进行口服免疫耐受的诱导。观察SLE样小鼠模型血清抗核抗体（ANA）、抗双链DNA抗体（抗ds—DNA抗体）和抗核小体抗体等自身抗体、白细胞、蛋白尿和肾脏损伤情况。结果成功制备了SLE样小鼠模型。与对照组相比，CTLA4-Ig—H2B组小鼠ANA、***和抗核小体抗体等自身抗体的水平均较低，白细胞减少和蛋白尿明显改善，差异均有统计学意义（均P〈0．05）。CTLA4-Ig—H2B组小鼠肾小球内免疫复合物沉积强度明显轻于CTLA4-Ig组和H2B组，差异均有统计学意义[积分（1．35±0．16）分比（1．66±0．23）分和（1．69±0．24）分，均P〈0．05]。CTLA4-Ig—H2B组肾小球病婵损害积分与CTLA4-Ig组和H2B组比较，差异均有统计学意义[（1．26±0．14）分比（1．73±0．25）分和（1．71±0．20）分，均P〈0．05]。结论利用减毒鼠伤寒沙门菌携带核小体Th细胞表位肽H2B14-28诱导SLE的口服免疫耐受足可行的，这为口服诱导免疫耐受防治SLE提供了一个新的途径。
