Cont.xt. kidney t.ansplant.t.on is t.day t.e st.ndard t.eat.ent.for pat.ent. suffering from chronic end-st.ge renal failure. Living kidney donat.on offers many advant.ges for t.e recipient. but.requires a subject.wit.out.comorbidit.es t. undergo surgery. t.e aim of t.is st.dy was t. assess t.e qualit. of life and psychosocial experience of living kidney donors aft.r donat.on. Met.ods: t.is was a cross-sect.onal st.dy wit. an analyt.cal aim, involving living kidney donors during t.e period from January 2016 t. April 2019 at.CHUGA. (Universit. Hospit.l Cent.r of Grenoble Alpes in France). Result.: Our st.dy shows t.at.out.of 88 donors, 70 responded t. our quest.onnaires, represent.ng a prevalence of 80.5%. t.e average age of our donors was 55.6 years wit. a female predominance. Seven out.of eight.domains of t.e SF36 score had a good qualit. of life aft.r donat.on and t.e donat.on did not.alt.r t.eir psychosocial experience. t.e majorit. of our donors expressed t.eir pride and ent.usiasm, did not.regret.having saved a life, and t.is experience was considered posit.ve. Conclusion: kidney donat.on does not.have a negat.ve impact.on qualit. of life and psychosocial life. t.e majorit. of donors do not.regret.t.eir donat.on. t.e disseminat.on of such result. could make it.possible t. increase t.e number of kidney t.ansplant. from living donors in France, especially in our African count.ies where t.e management.of ESRD remains a real public healt. problem.

Here we used t.e pollen records from t.ree lakes in t.is region t. reconst.uct.t.e evolut.on of local veget.t.on and climat. since 8200 cal. yr BP. t.e hist.ry of t.mperat.re and precipit.t.on was reconst.uct.d quant.t.t.vely wit. mult.-bioclimat.c indexes and a t.ansfer funct.on from pollen records. Result. show t.at.t.e st.ppe/meadow dominat.d during t.e period of 8200―6500 cal. yr BP, especially 8200―7200 cal. yr BP, indicat.ng t.e cent.al t.bet.n Plat.au was cont.olled by st.ong monsoon. t.e st.ppe dominat.d during t.e periods of 6000―4900, 4400―3900, and 2800―2400 cal. yr BP. t.e st.ppe decreased gradually and t.e meadow expanded during t.e period of 4900―4400 cal. yr BP. t.ree cent.ry-scale drought.event. occurred during 5800―4900, 4400―3900 and 2800 cal. yr BP, respect.vely. t.e first.t.me when t.e regional climat. shift.d t. t.e present.level was at.6500 cal. yr BP in t.e cent.al Plat.au. Rhizobium t.opici-derived ext.acellular polymeric subst.nces (EPS) have been used in soils t. enhance soil st.uct.res and mit.gat. soil erosions. However, informat.on on t.eir use t. improve soil healt. and fert.lit. indicat.rs, and plant.growt. is limit.d. In a greenhouse st.dy, we invest.gat.d t.eir effect. on some soil healt., soil fert.lit. indices, and t.e growt. of black-eyed peas (Vigna unguiculat.). Result. showed t.at.soils incubat.d wit. EPS significant.y increased basal soil respirat.on, soil microbial biomass, permanganat. oxidizable carbon (POC), and pot.nt.ally mineralizable nit.ogen (PMN). t.e EPS shift.d microbial populat.ons from bact.ria t. fungi and Gram (−ve) t. Gram ( ve) bact.ria. However, it.had lit.le or no effect. on soil pH, soil organic mat.er (SOM), and cat.on exchange capacit. (CEC). t.e EPS decreased soil moist.re loss, increased soil aggregat. st.bilit., but.delayed blacked-eyed peas germinat.ons in t.e soils. At.0.1% (w/w) concent.at.ons in soils, t.ere was increase in plant.root.nodulat.ons and veget.t.ve growt.. t.is st.dy was carried out.wit.in 40 days of incubat.ng soils wit. EPS or growing t.e black-eyed peas in a greenhouse st.dy. t.e plant.growt. paramet.rs were t.ken before flowering and fruit.ng. Furt.er st.dies of t.e effect. of incubat.ng soils wit. t.e ext.acellular polymeric subst.nces on plant.growt.. Soil microbial biomass, microbial diversit.es, and ot.er soil fert.lit. indices are deemed necessary.

Aft.r 8 days, t.e acid values of Dura and t.nera variet.es obt.ined were respect.vely 10.9 ± 4.7 and 12.5 ± 5.4 mg kOH/g for clust.red fruit., 12.5 ± 5.4 and 12.5 ± 4.1 mg kOH/g for dest.mmed fruit.. No significant.difference was recorded bet.een variet.es. On t.e ot.er hand, a highly significant.difference at.p t.ined bet.een fruit. ferment.d in t.e open air (e.g. around t.e foot.of t.e oil palm, FFOA), in a shed when t.e fruit. were not.covered (SFNC) and in a shed when t.e fruit. were covered by branches or st.aw (SFC). Here, we explore t.e degree t. which individual differences in ant.-predat.r response （or boldness） influence survival rat.s in groups of snails Chlorost.ma funebralis when t.ey encount.r a predat.ry sea st.r Pisast.r gigant.us. t.e snail C. funebralis shows consist.nt.individual variat.on in predat.r response where some fearful snails act.vely flee bodies of wat.r occupied by predat.rs whereas bolder snails consist.nt.y do not. We show here t.at.bold snails are significant.y more likely t. survive encount.rs wit. a predat.ry sea st.r and, somewhat.count.rint.it.vely, fearful snails act.ally suffer higher mort.lit. rat.s. We also found t.at.smaller snails and t.ose occurring at.higher experiment.l densit.es experienced higher per capit. survival rat.s. Posit.ve effect. of prey boldness on survival are not.uncommonly report.d in t.e animal personalit. lit.rat.re; however, such result. are inconsist.nt.wit. classic animal personalit. t.eory borrowed from t.e opt.mal foraging lit.rat.re. t.e findings herein add t. t.e growing body of evidence t.at.consist.nt.individual differences in behavior can impact.predat.r-prey int.ract.ons and t.at.boldness is pot.nt.ally under posit.ve predat.r-driven select.on in some syst.ms.
