Objective： Curative gastric cancer surgery entails removal of the primary tumor with adequate margins including regional lymph nodes. European randomized controlled trials with recruitment in the 1990＇s reported increased morbidity and mortality for D2 compared to D 1. Here, we examined the extent of lymphadenectomy during gastric cancer surgery and the associated risk for postoperative complications and mortality using the strengths of a population-based study. Methods： A prospective nationwide study conducted within the National Register of Esophageal and Gastric Cancer. All patients in sweden from 2006 to 2013 who underwent gastric cancer resections with curative intent were included. Patients were categorized into DO, D I, or D I ＋/D2, and analyzed regarding postoperative morbidity and mortality using multivariable logistic regression. Results： In total, 349 （31.7%） patients had a DO, 494 （44.9%） DI, and 258 （23.4%） DI＋/D2 lymphadenectomy. The 30-d postoperative complication rates were 25.5%, 25.1% and 32.2 % （DO, D I and D1 ＋/D2, respectively）, and 90-d mortality rates were 8.3%, 4.3 % and 5.8%. After adjustment for confounders, in mukivariable analysis, there were no significant differences in risk for postoperative complications between the lymphadenectomy groups. For 90-d mortality, there was a lower risk for D1 vs. DO. Conclusions： The majority of gastric cancer resections in sweden have included only a limited lymphadenectomy （DO and DI）. More extensive lymphadenectomy （DI＋/D2） seemed to have no impact on postoperative morbidity or mortality.

We report the use of a terahertz(THz)transparent material,cyclic olefin copolymer(COC or TOPAs),for fabricating a hollow-core antiresonant fiber that provides an electromagnetic wave guidance in the THz regime.A novel fabrication technique to realize a hollow-core antiresonant polymer optical fiber(HC-ARPF)for THz guidance is proposed and *** fiber is directly extruded in a single-step procedure using a conventional fused deposition modeling 3 D *** fiber geometry is defined by a structured nozzle manufactured with a metal 3 D printer,which allows tailoring of the nozzle design to the various geometries of microstructured optical *** possibility to use the HC-ARPF made from TOPAs for guiding in the THz region is theoretically and experimentally assessed through the profile of mode simulation and time-frequency diagram(spectrogram)analysis.

Not long after he withdrew from medical studies at sendai and returned to Tokyo in 1906, Lu Xun began research on the history and philosophy of science, modern European thought, and comparative literature which produced five treatises he eventually published in an archaistic classical prose style influenced by that of Zhang Taiyan. Central to, and the longest among these essays is Moluo shi li shuo （On the power of Mara Poetry）, which focuses on literature East and West and, in particular, the Byronic poets and their international legacy. In translating, annotating, and analyzing this essay, one meets with a number of quotations and terms derived originally from Western sources, sometimes through a secondary Japanese, German, or English translation. This article will focus on issues that arise in the translation and interpretation of that essay, in particular on the question of determining the source text, what bearing that has or should have on scholarly translation and how the study of textual issues can shed light not only on texts but also on literary and intellectual history. It offers an analysis of Lu Xun＇s own interpretation of the source texts as well as conclusions reflecting on the significance of his literary career and broader mission.
