Identifying nursing research priorities in Vietnam: a modified Delphi study

Objective: There is no single study that has examined nursing research priorities in Vietnam. This study aimed to gain consensus from experts on the nursing research priorities in ***: A three-round modified Delphi study was used in this study. A focus group discussion among experts was conducted in round I to identify the nursing research priorities(n=23). Data in round I were analyzed using content analysis. In round Ⅱ, participants were invited to rate the importance of each nursing priority topic in a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, which had a 74%(n=17) response rate. In round Ⅲ, the questionnaire was returned to the experts(n=17) until consensus was reached. Data from round Ⅱ and round Ⅲ were analyzed to produce mean score and final ***: The top 12 research priority lists were identified, which included subthemes and areas of possible investigations. All priorities were classified into three groups in the rank order, namely:(i) nursing management and leadership, which included(1) nursing care quality,(2) management and leadership of nurse managers,(3) nursing image,(4) professional nurse competency, and(5) human resource management;(ii) nursing education, which included(1) knowledge-specific domain,(2) the linkage between education and practice, and(3) nurse teacher workforce;and(iii) nursing service, which included(1) adult nursing concern,(2) patient safety,(3) public health nursing concern, and(4) quality of life of patients and ***: Consensus among experts was achiever, and the findings are considered as the basis of resources to the most essential research needs in Vietnam.

目的在新常态背景下要应对不断出现的新挑战,临床一线护士长需要提高技能,以有效履行职责、发挥多重作用,亟需完善新形势下其核心能力指南或标准。本研究旨在探讨后疫情时代背景下印度尼西亚医院一线护理管理者的核心能力要素。方法2022年1—8月,在印度尼西亚的1所公立医院选择7名有新型冠状病毒疫情期间护理管理经验的一线护士长进行面对面访谈。对访谈内容进行录音,逐字逐句转录,并通过重新聆听进行验证。采用主题分析法对访谈资料进行分析。结果医院一线护理管理者的核心能力要素包括4个方面:管理核心能力,临床核心能力,科技核心能力,以及社会情感技能/个人特质(包括勇敢、迅捷、耐心、乐观、坚持和责任心)。结论研究结果表明,一线护士长的管理和临床核心能力必须保持一致,科技核心能力是两者的中间组成部分。个人特质对于一线护士长至关重要,因为这是他们的其他3个核心能力和成功的基础。

Multihull ships are widely used for sea transportation, and those with four hulls are known as quadramarans. Hull position configurations of a quadramaran include the diamond, tetra, and slice. In general, multihull vessels traveling at high speeds have better hydrodynamic efficiency than monohull ships. This study aims to identify possible effects of various quadramaran hull position configurations on ship resistance for hull dimensions of 2 m length, 0.21 m breadth, and 0.045 m thickness. We conducted a towing test in which we varied the hull spacing and speed at Fr values between 0.08 and 0.62 and measured the total resistance using a load cell transducer. The experimental results reveal that the lowest total resistance was achieved with a diamond quadramaran configuration at Fr = 0.1-0.6 and an effective interference factor of up to 0.35 with S/L = 3/10 and R/L = 1/2 at Fr = 0.62.

Objective: to identify the correlation between N-terminal pro-brainnatriuretic peptide （NT-proBNP） with diastolic function in asymptomaticpatients at risk of developing heart failure, and the role of NT-proBNP inidentifying diastolic dysfunction. Methods: eighty patients （age45–70years） were selected based onhistory of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and coronary artery *** with at least one risk factor for HF were selected in this *** were enrolled in this study from January to July2011in FirstAffiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. Left ventricular （LV）diastolic function was measured by conventional Doppler and TissueDoppler imaging （TDI） echocardiography of mitral annulus. PlasmaNT-proBNP concentration was measured by immunoassay. Results: There were36men and44women in this study. The mean age ofpatients was58.8years old. Hypertension was present in78/80patients（97.5%）;diabetes in32/80patients （40%）;and coronary artery disease in 25/80（31.3%）. In transmitral pulsed-wave Doppler velocity measurement,there was no significant difference of NT-proBNP between normal andimpaired relaxation （mild diastolic dysfunction）. Patients withpseudonormal filling （262.2±55.63pg/ml） and restrictive like pattern（781.5±152pg/ml） had significantly higher NT-proBNP level （p＜0.0005）.In TDI measurement, patients were grouped into3groups based on E/E’ratio ＜8（group1）, E/E’ ratio8-15（group2）, E/E’ ratio＞15（group3）. TheNT-proBNP level in group1was47.54±34.08pg/ml, group2was94.98±78.88pg/ml, and group3was781.5±152pg/ml. There was goodcorrelation between NT-proBNP and E/E’lateral （r=063;p＜0.0005）. Conclusion: NT-proBNP level increases as left ventricular diastolicfunction decreases, and there was good correlation between NT-proBNPwith E/E’ ratio. Patient with moderate-severe diastolic dysfunction hadhigher NT-proBNP level. NT-proBNP cannot be used for identification ofmild diastolic dysfunction in patient at risk of developing heart failure.

Objectives: To investigate the proximate composition, mineral content, and phytochemical compounds in Calophyllum inophyllum(C. inophyllum) leaves. Moreover,isolation and identification of pyrene were also ***: C. inophyllum leaves were extracted with methanol by percolation *** proximate composition of C. inophyllum leaves was analyzed by standard *** contents in this plant were analyzed by using atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Phytochemical screening and analysis of this plant were performed by spectrophotometric method. Washing method with carbon disulfide was used for isolating dihydropyrene compound from C. inophyllum leaves ***: The result revealed that C. inophyllum leaves contained 11.24% moisture,4.75% ash, 6.43% crude protein, 23.96% crude fiber, 9.91% carbohydrate, and energy(79.17 kcal/100 g). The leaves also contained 0.007% iron, 1.240% calcium, 0.075%sodium, 0.195% magnesium, 0.100% ppm potassium, and 0.040% phosphorus. Moreover, 11.51% alkaloid, 2.48% triterpenoid, 2.37% flavonoid, 7.68% tannin, 2.16%saponin, 2.53% polyphenol, were identified in the methanolic crude extracts of C. inophyllum leaves. It was found that trans-2-[2-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-10 b,10 c-dimethyl-10 b,10 c-dihydropyrene was obtained at purity of 79.18%(22.17% yield)from C. inophyllum ***: C. inophyllum leaves may be used as a good source of fiber. It was found that C. inophyllum leaves have the potential as herbal drugs due to their phytochemical content. The separation, isolation, and purification of bioactive compounds from this methanolic crude extract and their biological activity are under further investigation.

Micro-bubble Drag Reduction on a High Speed Vessel Model

Ship hull form of the underwater area strongly influences the resistance of the ship. The major factor in ship resistance is skin friction resistance. Bulbous bows, polymer paint, water repellent paint （highly water-repellent wall）, air injection, and specific roughness have been used by researchers as an attempt to obtain the resistance reduction and operation efficiency of ships. Micro-bubble injection is a promising technique for lowering frictional resistance. The injected air bubbles are supposed to somehow modify the energy inside the turbulent boundary layer and thereby lower the skin friction. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of injected micro bubbles on a navy fast patrol boat （FPB） 57 m type model with the following main dimensions： L=2 450 ram, B=400 mm, and T=190 mm. The influence of the location of micro bubble injection and bubble velocity was also investigated. The ship model was pulled by an electric motor whose speed could be varied and adjusted. The ship model resistance was precisely measured by a load cell transducer. Comparison of ship resistance with and without micro-bubble injection was shown on a graph as a function of the drag coefficient and Froude number. It was shown that micro bubble injection behind the mid-ship is the best location to achieve the most effective drag reduction, and the drag reduction caused by the micro-bubbles can reach 6%-9%.

Continuous global positioning system （GPS） in northern Sumatra detected signal of the ongoing physical process of postseismic deformation after the M9.2 2004 Sumatra-Andaman earthquake. We analyze the character- istics of postseismic deformation of the 2004 earthquake based on GPS networks operated by BIG, and the others named AGNeSS, and SuGAr networks located in northern Sumatra. We use a simple analytical logarithmic and exponential function to evaluate the postseismic deforma- tion parameters of the 2004 earthquake. We find that GPS data in northern Sumatra during time periods of 2005-2012 are fit better using the logarithmic function with dog of 104.2 ± 0.1 than using the exponential function. Our result clearly indicates that other physical mechanisms of post- seismic deformation should be taken into account rather than a single physical mechanism of afterslip only.
