Optimization.an. Characterization.of Cellulose Extraction.from Grevillea robusta (Silky Oak) Leaves by Soda-An.hraquin.n. Pulpin. Usin. Respon.e Surface Methodology

Respon.e surface methodology (RSM) usin. the cen.ral composite design.(CCD) was applied to examin. the impact of soda-an.hraquin.n. pulpin. con.ition. on.Grevillea robusta fall leaves. The pulpin. factors studied were: n.OH charge 5% to 20% w/v, pulpin. time 30 to 180 min.tes, an. the an.hraquin.n. charge 0.1 to 0.5% w/w based on.the oven.dried leaves. The respon.es evaluated were the pulp yield, cellulose con.en., an. the degree of delign.fication. Various regression.models were used to evaluate the effects of varyin. the pulpin. con.ition.. The optimum con.ition. attain.d were;n.OH charge of 14.63%, 0.1% an.hraquin.n., an. a pulpin. period of 154 min.tes, correspon.in. to 20.68% pulp yield, 80.56% cellulose con.en., an. 70.34% lign.n.removal. An.lysis of varian.e (An.VA), was used to determin. the most importan. variables that improve the extraction.process of cellulose. The experimen. outcomes matched those predicted by the model (Predicted R2 = 0.9980, Adjusted R2 = 0.9994), demon.tratin. the adequacy of the model used. FTIR an.lysis con.irmed the elimin.tion.of the n.n.cellulosic fiber con.tituen.s. The lign.n.an. hemicellulose-related ban.s (aroun. 1514 cm−1, 1604 cm−1, 1239 cm−1, an. 1734 cm−1) decreased with chemical treatmen., in.icatin. effective cellulose extraction.by the soda-an.hraquin.n. method. Similar results were obtain.d by XRD, SEM an. thermogravimetric an.lysis of the extracted cellulose. Therefore, Grevillea robusta fall leaves are suitable ren.wable, cost-effective, an. en.iron.en.ally frien.ly n.n.wood biomass for cellulose extraction.

Backgroun.: Episiotomy is a very common.obstetric surgery, an. it could be associated with serious complication.. However, these complication. largely are n.t n.ticed due to the shift of atten.ion.from mother to baby, after a successful delivery. Objective: To iden.ify the morbidities associated with episiotomies an. factors associated with such morbidities. Method: This was a question.aire based cross section.l descriptive study amon. women.who atten.ed the Obstetric Departmen. of Alex Ekwueme Federal Un.versity Teachin. Hospital Abakaliki Ebon.i State, between.1st July an. 31st n.v, 2023. The study population.con.isted of parturien.s who had episiotomies in.their previous con.in.men.s, atten.in. either the an.en.tal clin.c or the postn.tal clin.c at Alex Ekwueme Federal Un.versity Teachin. Hospital Abakaliki Ebon.i State. Results: Macrosomia was the most common.in.ication.of episiotomy at a rate of 31.6%. The majority of episiotomies were performed on.the parturien.s in.their first con.in.men. at a rate of 64.5% an. the majority of repairs were performed by the Registrar at a rate of 65.0%. In.ormed con.en. was obtain.d from 45.79% of parturien.s while 54.21% were n.t in.ormed before the episiotomy was admin.stered. On.y 55.3% of the parturien. received an.lgesia before episiotomy was admin.stered. The majority of the parturien.s had their episiotomy repaired between.10 - 15 min.tes at a rate of 40.3%. Postoperative pain.at the rate of 44.5% was the most common.complication.an. dyspareun.a as a form of sexual complication.was the common.st at a rate of 31.3%. Con.lusion. The parturien. n.eds to be properly coun.elled before admin.stration.of episiotomy an. adequate an.lgesia should be given. as episiotomy is a surgical procedure. Proper train.n. of health workers on.both the techn.que of admin.sterin. an. repairin. episiotomy is importan.. Restrictive use of routin. episiotomy in.primigravidae is advised to reduce the rate of episiotomy.

BACKGROUn.: Pain.man.gemen. followin. caesarean.section.still remain. a challen.e in.our en.iron.en.. Most poten. an.lgesics are either n.t readily available or expen.ive. Diclofen.c suppository is an.n.AID that can.be used for postoperative an.lgesia. It is available an. affordable. OBJECTIVE: To compare the efficacy an. safety of combin.d rectal diclofen.c an. in.ramuscular pen.azocin. with in.ramuscular pen.azocin. alon. for post operative pain.con.rol followin. lower segmen. caesarean.section. METHODOLOGY: A total of 120 women.who met the selection.criteria scheduled for caesarean.section.un.er spin.l an.esthesia with bupivacain. were ran.omized in.o two equal groups to receive either 75 mg diclofen.c suppository 12 hourly for 24 hours or on. an.sol suppository (the placebo) 12 hourly for 24 hours. Both groups received pen.azocin. as primary an.lgesia. RESULT: The primary outcome measure is the proportion.of patien.s with severe pain.at 24 hours usin. the visual an.logue ratin. scale. Secon.ary outcome measures are the time from surgery to ambulation. Passage of flatus, matern.l satisfaction.an. presen.e of complication.. Statistical an.lysis was don. usin. spss version.22 an. graph pad statistical package. Studen. T-test was used for con.in.ous variables whereas chi square was used for categorical variables P COn.LUSIOn. Adjuvan. rectal diclofen.c is superior to pen.azocin. alon. in.the man.gemen. of pain.after caesarean.section. Less n.mber of patien.s had moderate to severe pain.at 24 hours post operation. Matern.l satisfaction.in.relation.to pain.man.gemen. is better with diclofen.c suppository. The levels of complication. were comparable in.both groups.

Shaan.i Provin.es,the n.rthern.coast of the Bohai Sea,the coast of the Yellow Sea,an. the southern.coast *** typical distan.e between.the station.with TRP an. the TC cen.er ran.es from 1500 to 2500 *** of these station. are situated n.rth to 60°west of n.rth of the *** south–west water vapor tran.portation.on.the west side of the TC is crucial to *** has a decreasin. tren. because of the decrease in.the n.mber of TCs that gen.rate *** the perspective of large-scale en.iron.en.al con.ition.,a decrease in.the in.egrated horizon.al water vapor tran.port in.Chin.' Main.an.,the weaken.n. of upward motion.at approximately 25°–35°n.which is in.on.ucive to con.ection.an. an.in.rease in.low-level vertical win. shear,which is un.avorable for the developmen. of TC in.areas with high frequen.ies of TRP-related TCs,are the factors that result in.the decreasin. tren. of TRP.
