Medical research in regenerative medicine and cellbased therapy has brought encouraging perspectives for the use of stem cells in clinical trials. Multiple types of stem cells, from progenitors to pluripotent stem cells, have been investigated. Among these, dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs) are mesenchymal multipotent cells coming from the dental pulp, which is the soft tissue within teeth. They represent an interesting adult stem cell source because they are recovered in large amount in dental pulps with non-invasive techniques compared to other adult stem cell sources. DPSCs can be obtained from discarded teeth, especially wisdom teeth extracted for orthodontic reasons. To shift from promising preclinical results to therapeutic applications to human, DPSCs must be prepared in clinical grade lots and transformed into advanced therapy medicinal products(ATMP). As the production of patient-specific stem cells is costly and time-consuming, allogenic biobanking of clinical grade human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-typed DPSC lines provides efficient innovative therapeutic products. DPSC biobanks represent industrial and therapeutic innovations by using discarded biological tissues(dental pulps) as a source of mesenchymal stem cells to produce and store, in good manufacturing practice(GMP) conditions, DPSC therapeutic batches. In this review, we discuss about the challenges to transfer biological samples from a donor to HLA-typed DPSC therapeutic lots, following regulations, GMP guidelines and ethical principles. We also present some clinical applications, for which there is no efficient therapeutics so far, but that DPSCs-based ATMP could potentially treat.

AIM:To study the clinical efficacy and safety of Fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT).We systematically reviewed FMT used as clinical ***:We searched MEDLINE,EMBASE,the Cochrane Library and Conference proceedings from inception to July,*** effect of FMT was calculated as the percentage of patients who achieved clinical improvement per patient category,on an intention-to-treat ***:We included 45 studies;34 on Clostridium difficile-infection(CDI),7 on inflammatory bowel disease,1 on metabolic syndrome,1 on constipation,1 on pouchitis and 1 on irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).In CDI 90% resolution of diarrhea in 33 case series(n = 867) was reported,and 94% resolution of diarrhea after repeated FMT in a randomized controlled trial(RCT)(n = 16).In ulcerative colitis(UC) remission rates of 0% to 68% were found(n = 106).In Crohn's disease(CD)(n = 6),no benefit was *** IBS,70% improvement of symptoms was found(n = 13).100% Reversal of symptoms was observed in constipation(n = 3).In pouchitis,none of the patients(n = 8) achieved *** RCT showed significant improvement of insulin sensitivity in metabolic syndrome(n = 10).Serious adverse events were ***:FMT is highly effective in CDI,and holds promise in *** for CD,chronic constipation,pouchitis and IBS data are too limited to draw *** increases insulin sensitivity in metabolic syndrome.

The growing global demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly energy has stimulated the rapid adoption of renewable offshore ***,infrastructure needed for green energy production ironically impacts upon marine species and ***,this positional review paper seeks to comprehensively synthesise the prevailing body of knowledge on the impact of offshore energy development on a broad range of marine *** interpretivist philosophical stance and inductive reasoning was adopted using scientometric analysis to conduct a rich synthesis of extant *** an operational perspective,the Scopus database was utilised to search for key terms on the phenomena under investigation and using the vos Viewer software for the identification of trends using scientometric *** analysis reveals that research in this area of science has increased significantly over the last decade but private sector involvement is conspicuous by its *** concerns among the research community include the impact of energy development on the abundance of species,pollution and biodiversity behaviour and *** present,researchers have extensively focused on the impact of offshore wind farms on fish and marine ***,the literature reveals no significant long-term impact upon energy development on most marine species albeit,short-term interference has raised concerns(from sound,disruption of navigation and foraging patterns,and damage of habitat).To minimise short term disruption,researchers have recommended the use of acoustic deterrence during construction,enforcement of protected areas and continued research.

AIM:To examine whether addition of 3T multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(mp MRI)to an active surveillance protocol could detect aggressive or progressive prostate ***:Twenty-three patients with low risk disease were enrolled on this active surveillance study,all of which had Gleason score 6 or less *** patients had clinical assessments,including digital rectal examination and prostate specific antigen(PSA)testing,every 6 mo with annual 3T mp MRI scans with gadolinium contrast and minimum sextant prostate *** MRI images were anonymized of patient identifiers and clinical information and each scan underwentradiological review without the other results *** statistics for demographics and follow-up as well as the sensitivity and specificity of mp MRI to identify prostate cancer and progressive disease were ***:During follow-up(median 24.8 mo)11 of 23 patients with low-risk prostate cancer had disease progression and were taken off study to receive definitive *** progression was identified through upstaging of Gleason score on subsequent biopsies for all 11 patients with only 2 patients also having a PSA doubling time of less than 2 *** 23 patients had biopsy confirmed prostate cancer but only 10 had a positive index of suspicion on mp MRI scans at baseline(43.5% sensitivity).Aggressive disease prediction from baseline mpM RI scans had satisfactory specificity(81.8%)but low sensitivity(58.3%).Twentytwo patients had serial mp MRI scans and evidence of disease progression was seen for 3 patients all of whom had upstaging of Gleason score on biopsy(30% specificity and 100% sensitivity).CONCLUSION:Addition of mp MRI imaging in active surveillance decision making may help in identifying aggressive disease amongst men with indolent prostate cancer earlier than traditional methods.

A search for the rare decays W^(+)→D_(s)^(+)γ and Z→D0γis performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 13TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0fb−*** significant signal is observed for either decay mode and upper limits on their branching fractions are set using W^(+)→D_(s)^(+)γ and Z→μ+μ−decays as normalization *** upper limits are 6.5×10^(−4) and 2.1×10^(−3) at 95% confidence level for the W^(+)→D_(s)^(+)γ and Z→D^(0)γ decay modes,*** is the first reported search for the Z→D^(0)γ decay,while the upper limit on the W+→D+sγbranching fraction improves upon the previous best limit.

A first search for the Ξ_(bc)^(+)J/ψΞ_(c)^(+) decay is performed by the LHCb experiment with a data sample of proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1 recorded at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. Two peaking structures are seen with a local (global) significance of 4.3(2.8) and 4.1(2.4) standard deviations at masses of 6571 and 6694 MeV/c2, respectively. Upper limits are set on the Ξ+bc baryon production cross-section times the branching fraction relative to that of the B+c→J/ψD+s decay at centre-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV, in the Ξ+bc and in the B+c rapidity and transverse-momentum ranges from 2.0 to 4.5 and 0 to 20GeV/c, respectively. Upper limits are presented as a function of the Ξ+bc mass and lifetime.
