Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for th.rmometers based on th. fluoresc.nc. intensity ratio(FIR)***,at h.gh.Nd^(3+)c.nc.ntrations,energy transfer(ET)proc.sses suc. as optic.l reabsorption and c.oss-relaxation c.n affec. th. Nd^(3+)emission,wh.c. h.s been little explored in th. ***,th. present work investigated th. use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with.Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluoresc.nc. th.rmometers,in th. temperature range from 299 to 371 *** results indic.te a strong dependenc. of th. FIR parameters on th. Nd^(3+)c.nc.ntration,due to c.anges in th. emission band profiles c.used by optic.l reabsorption of th. Nd^(3+)emissions and c.oss-relaxation proc.sses.A dec.ease of th. relative sensitivity of th. ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with.h.gh.r amounts of Nd^(3+).Th. maximum relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,wh.c. is th. h.gh.st value among th. reported Nd^(3+)ions.

Empath. allows h.mans and oth.r animals to sh.re th. emotional state of anoth.r, adopting th.t individual’s perspec.ive on a given situation. Th.s ability is fundamental for spec.es living in groups. h.lping beh.vior in laboratory animals h.s been used to study empath.. In th.s test, subjec.s are exposed to a c.nspec.fic.th.t is trapped and learn to open th. c.ge to release th. oth.r animal. h.wever, th. interpretation of h.lping beh.vior as an emph.tic.lly motivated ac.ion is still c.ntroversial. h.re we review th. studies th.t use th. h.lping beh.vioral test proposed by Ben-Ami Bartal and c.lleagues in 2011 to better understand motivational fac.ors for th.s beh.vior. In addition, we c.mpare meth.dologic.l aspec.s of th.se studies. In c.nc.usion, h.lping beh.vior c.n be driven by empath., but oth.r fac.ors suc. as th. desire for soc.al c.ntac. and learning c.mponents c.nnot be ruled out as motivators. In addition, studies foc.sed on evaluating neurobiologic.l mec.anisms underlying h.lping beh.vior in laboratory rodents c.n h.lp eluc.date th. fac.ors involved in releasing th. trapped c.-spec.fic.

In th. present work,tilted global solar irradianc. data are presented and analysed,measured for a period of 1 year on th. c.mpus of Bah.ain Polytec.nic.Kingdom of Bah.ain,from both.a fixed ph.tovoltaic.panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar *** fixed panel fac.s south.with.an angle of 26°with.respec. to th. h.rizontal,c.inc.ding with.th. loc.l geograph.c.l *** sec.nd panel is moved by two motors,c.ntrolled by a global positioning system and suitable software so th.t th. Sun’s rays are perpendic.lar to th. panel surfac..A pyranometer is installed on eac. panel,rec.rding th. tilted global solar irradianc.,stored by using a data *** analysis of th. data obtained sh.ws a 33%solar energy gain on an annual basis for th. moving panel(2780 versus 2088 kWh.m^(2) on th. fixed panel).More importantly,in June,wh.n th. energy demand in Bah.ain is elevated due to th. inc.eased residential c.oling loads,th. solar energy rec.ived by th. moving panel is 54.7%h.gh.r c.mpared with.th.t of th. fixed *** a perc.ntage basis,th. inc.ease in solar energy from th. moving panel is profound in th. early morning and late evening ***,th. reduc.ion in th. solar energy rec.ived by th. fixed panel from May to June does not appear in th. moving panel bec.use of th. adjustable orientation of th. *** th. year,th. mean daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m^(2) for th. fixed panel,and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m^(2) for th. moving *** winter,solar energy fluc.uations are elevated due to erratic.weath.r c.nditions th.t present a peak standard deviation of 28%of th. c.rresponding *** data presented are useful for potential solar investments in Gulf c.untries.

h.gh.y pure red ph.sph.rs LiM(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(M=Sr,c.) doped with.Eu^(3+)(1 mol%) were synth.sized via solution c.mbustion meth.d and th.ir c.ystal struc.ure and luminesc.nc. dynamic. were studied to explore its suitability in wh.te ligh. emitting *** Rietveld refinement analysis of th. powder Xray diffrac.ion patterns reveals th.t th. ph.sph.rs belong to th. pure tric.inic.ph.se of LiSr(PO_(3))_(3) and Lic.(PO_(3)) with.spac. group P-1(2).Th. sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py images sh.wed th. agglomerated *** ph.toluminesc.nc. emission spec.ra under 393 nm sh.w an orange band at 594 nm and a red band at 613 nm asc.ibed to ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1).^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) transitions of Eu^(3+)ion in both.th. ***,th. spec.rosc.pic.properties suc. as luminesc.nc. beh.viour,and Stark splitting were used to examine th. symmetry of Eu^(3+)ions in LiM(PO_(3))_(3):Es^(3+)(M=Sr,c.) ph.sph.rs in terms of distortion induc.d upon *** Stark splitting sh.ws th.t th. ac.ual site symmetry for Eu^(3+)ion was estimated to be D_(2) type for both.*** ph.tometric.properties of Lic.(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)suc. as c.mmission International de l'Ec.airage c.ordinates(x=0.64,y=0.36) near to th. standard one(red),h.gh.c.lor purity(95%) and h.gh.r brigh.ness reveal th.t th. ph.sph.r h.s th. c.pability of ac.ing as a red c.mponent in n-UV wh.te ligh. emitting diodes.
