Understanding the determinants of ranging patterns in species susceptible to habitat fragmentation is fundamental for assessing their long-term adaptability to an increasingly human-dominated *** aim of this study was to determine and compare the influence of ground-based food availability,remotely sensed plant productivity,and indigenous forest use on the ranging patterns of the endangered samango monkey(Cercopithecus albogularis schwarzi).We collected monthly ranging data on two habituated samango monkey groups,from February 2012 to December 2016,from our field site in the Soutpansberg Mountains,South *** used linear mixed models to explore how food availability,plant productivity,and indigenous forest use influenced monthly ranging patterns,while controlling for group size,number of sample days and day *** found that as more areas of high plant productivity(derived from remotely sensed EVI)were incorporated into the ranging area,both total and core monthly ranging areas *** addition,both total ranging area and mean monthly daily path length decreased as more indigenous forest was incorporated into the ranging ***,we found no effect of either ground-based food availability or remotely sensed plant productivity on ranging *** findings demonstrate the behavioral flexibility in samango monkey ranging,as samangos can utilize matrix habitat during periods of low productivity but are ultimately dependent on access to indigenous forest *** addition,we highlight the potential of using remotely sensed areas of high plant productivity to predict ranging patterns in a small ranging,forest-dwelling guenon,over ground-based estimates of food availability.

Source-rock characteristics of Lower Triassic Montney Formation presented in this study shows the total organic carbon (TOC) richness, thermal maturity, hydrocarbon generation, geographical distribution of TOC and thermal maturity (Tmax) in Fort St. john study area (T86N, R23W and T74N, R13W) and its environs in northeastern British Columbia, Western Canada Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). TOC richness in Montney Formation within the study area is grouped into three categories: low TOC ( 3.5 wt%), and high TOC (>3.5 wt% %). Thermal maturity of the Montney Formation source-rock indicates that >90% of the analyzed samples are thermally mature, and mainly within gas generating window (wet gas, condensate gas, and dry gas), and comprises mixed Type II/III (oil/gas prone kerogen), and Type IV kerogen (gas prone). Analyses of Rock-Eval parameters (TOC, S2, Tmax, HI, OI and PI) obtained from 81 samples in 11 wells that penetrated the Montney Formation in the subsurface of northeastern British Columbia were used to map source rock quality across the study area. Based on total organic carbon (TOC) content mapping, geographical distribution of thermal maturity (Tmax) data mapping, including evaluation and interpretation of Rock-Eval parameters in the study area, the Montney Formation kerogen is indicative of a pervasively matured petroleum system in the study area.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(mp-MRI)using Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System version 2.0(PI-RADSv2)definitions in detecting organ-confined prostate ***:All patients who underwent radical prostatectomy between January 1,2014 and December 30,2014 were *** underwent mp-MRI within 180 days before *** with prior pelvic irradiation or androgen deprivation therapy were *** embedded,whole-mount histopathology was centrally reviewed and correlated with imaging for tumour location,Gleason score(GS)and ***:There were 39 patients included,of which 35(90%)had mp-MRI done post-biopsy.A total of 93 cancer foci were identified on whole-mount pathology,of which mp-MRI detected 63(68%).Of those detected by mp-MRI,14 were PI-RADS 3(n=6 for GS 6,n=8 for GS 7,no GS≥8)and 49 were PI-RADS 4e5(nZ7 for GS 6,nZ33 for GS 7,and nZ9 for GS≥8).There were 30(32%)cancer foci missed by mp-MRI(n=15 for GS 6,n=13 for GS 7 and n=2 for GS≥8).A lesion classified as PI-RADS 4e5 predicted a higher grade cancer on pathology as compared to PI-RADS 3(for GS 7 lesions,odds ratio[OR]=3.53,95%CI:0.93e13.45,p=0.064).The mp-MRI size detection limit was 20 mm2 and 100 mm2 for 50%and 75%probability of cancer,*** associating with radiological and pathologic stage,the weighted Kappa value was 0.69(p<0.0001).The sensitivity and positive predictive values for this study were 68%(95%CI:57%e77%)and 78%(95%CI:67%e86%),***:In this predominantly post-biopsy cohort,mp-MRI using PI-RADSv2 reporting has a reasonably high diagnostic accuracy in detecting clinically significant prostate cancer.

本文测定了中国非胰岛素依赖型糖尿病病人(NIDDM;男13名,女10名)和非糖尿病对照组(男8名,女10名)血浆和极低密度脂蛋白(VLDL)中Apo CⅠ、CⅡ和CⅢ水平。男性病人组ApoCⅠ水平、Apo CⅠ/TG(TG指甘油三酯)、ApoCⅡ/TG和Apo CⅠ/CⅢ比值均显著低于男性对照组,而女性病人组Apo CⅡ水平显著高于女性对照组;男性病人组空腹血糖与女性病人组者相似。因此,男性病人较高的VLDL水平可能与血浆和VLDL中Apo CⅠ、CⅡ和CⅢ的不正常组成有关,而与高血糖本身无关。

位于巴西北部的Catrimani河流域是雅诺马马人的居住地,且自1980年以来,一直是采金场所。金矿开采活动释放入环境中的无机汞会被转化为有机汞,且在水域生态系统会发生生物放大作用。摄食被汞污染鱼的人群,如雅诺马马人有可能会受到危害。我们分别于1994年和1995年对居住在采矿河流附近和非采矿河流附近的雅诺马马村民进行了调查,并且对被其捕捞的水虎鱼体内的汞含量进行了分析。我们分别于1994和1995年对5个村庄的90名雅诺马马印地安人和3个村庄的62名雅诺马马印地安人进行了调查研究。于1994年所调查的5个村庄中,有4个位于Catrimani河沿岸,大约在距过去金矿开采活动场所下游140～160km处。另一个村庄位于没有开采活动的Ajaraní河沿岸。于1995年所调查的3个村庄中,有两个位于Catrimani河沿岸的村庄再一次被调查,另一个位于没有采矿活动的Pacu河。在被调查的所有村民中,其血液中有机汞含量的变化范围为0～62.6μg/L(每个村庄的平均值在21.2～43.1μg/L之间)。采自有采矿活动的Catrimani河的水虎鱼汞含量的变化范围为235～1084ppb。在所测的13个水虎鱼样品中,有9个体长在30cm或更长的水虎鱼样品总汞含量超过了世界卫生组织和巴西卫生部规定的鱼中汞消费限值(500ppb)。不幸的是,在没有开采活动的Ajaraní和Pacu河附近的居民和鱼体内都呈现出了较高的汞水平,这表明间接的汞源也会对亚马孙河流域造成环境污染。
