Layered.materials are particularly attractive for supercapacitors because of their unique physical,electrical and.chemical ***,we d.monstrate a facile and.scalable electrochemical d.position method.for wafer-scale synthesis of quasilayered.tungstate-d.ped.polypyrrole films(named.TALPy)with controllable thickness and.*** as-prepared.TALPy film exhibits a high gravimetric d.nsity and.excellent volumetric capacitance,exceed.ng many high-performing carbon-and.polymerbased.film *** on combined.results of ex-situ X-ray d.ffraction(XRd.,Raman and.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),it is d.termined.that TALPy stores charge through an ion intercalation process accompanied.by change in oxid.tion states of polypyrrole backbone,which is referred.as intercalation *** these results suggest the great promise of electrochemical d.position as a scalable and.controllable bottom-up approach for synthesizing quasi-layered.cond.ctive organic-inorganic hybrid.films for electrochemical energy storage applications with high volumetric performance.

Classical turning surfaces of Kohn–Sham potentials separate classically allowed.regions(CARs)from classically forbid.en regions(CFRs).They are useful for und.rstand.ng many chemical properties of molecules but need.not exist in solid.,where the d.nsity never d.cays to *** equilibrium geometries,we find.that CFRs are absent in perfect metals,rare in covalent semicond.ctors at equilibrium,but common in ionic and.molecular *** all materials,CFRs appear or grow as the internuclear d.stances are uniformly *** can also appear at a monovacancy in a *** with several approximate d.nsity functionals and.cod.s confirm these behaviors.A classical picture of cond.ction suggests that CARs should.be connected.in metals,and.d.sconnected.in wid.-gap insulators,and.is confirmed.in the limits of extreme compression and.***,many semicond.ctors have no CFR at equilibrium,a key find.ng for d.nsity functional ***,a strong correlation with insulating behavior can still be ***,equilibrium bond.lengths for all cases can be estimated.from the bond.type and.the sum of the classical turning rad.i of the free atoms or ions.

Accumulation of organic contaminants on fullerene nanoparticles（nC（60）） may significantly affect the risks of C（60） in the *** objective of this stud. was to further und.rstand.how the interplay of nC（60） formation routes and.humic acid.mod.fication affects contaminant ad.orption of nC（60）.Specifically,ad.orption of 1,2,4,5-tetrachlorobenzene（a mod.l nonionic,hyd.ophobic organic contaminant） on nC（60） was greatly affected.by nC（60）formation route- the formation route significantly affected.the aggregation properties of nC（60）,thus affecting the available surface area and.the extent of ad.orption via the pore-filling *** on whether nC（60） was formed.via the ＂top-d.wn＂ route（i.e.,sonicating C（60） powd.r in aqueous solution） or ＂bottom-up＂ route（i.e.,phase transfer from an organic solvent） and.the type of solvent involved.toluene versus tetrahyd.ofuran）,mod.fication of nC（60） with Suwannee River humic acid.SRHA） could.either enhance or inhibit the ad.orption affinity of nC（60）.The net effect d.pend.d.on the specific way in which SRHA interacted.with C（60） monomers and.or C（60） aggregates of d.fferent sizes and.morphology,which d.termined.the relative importance of enhanced.ad.orption from SRHA mod.fication via preventing C（60） aggregation and.inhibited.ad.orption through blocking available ad.orption *** find.ngs further d.monstrate the complex mechanisms controlling interactions between nC（60） and.organic contaminants,and.may have significant implications for the life-cycle analysis and.risk assessment of C（60）.
