History and evaluation of national-scale geochemical data sets for the United States

SP100 is an antiviral protein that restricts the productive stage of human papillomavirus(HPV)and multiple other viruses,and viruses in turn block sUMO-1-mediated stabilization of SP100 and promotes its degradation(Table S1).Interferon(IFN)signaling could still produce more SP100 through transcription to counteract viruses.1 Viruses also disable the transcriptional up-regulation of SP100 to achieve persistent infection in hosts.

background and Aims:After 3-years(144 week)of double-blind treatment in Chinese chronic hepatitis b patients in two ongoing phase 3 studies,tenofovir alafenamide(TAF)showed similar efficacy to tenofovir disoproxil fumarate(TDF),with improved renal and bone *** this study,we aimed to report the 5-year results from 2 years into the open-label TAF treatment ***:All participants completing the 144-week double-blind treatment were eligible to receive open-label TAF 25 mg once daily up to week *** analysis of viral suppression(hepatitis b virus DNAbel phase included 93%(311/334)of the enrolled participants,which included 212 who switched from double-blind TAF to open-label TAF(TAF-TAF)and 99 who switched from double-blind TDF to open-label TAF(TDF-TAF).baseline characteristics were *** 240 viral suppression rates were similar between groups[93.4%vs.93.9%;difference:-1.5%,(95%CI:-6.4 to-3.5),p=0.857].Alanine aminotransferase normalization and serological response rates were higher in the TAF-TAF group than in the TDF-TAF *** frequencies of adverse events and laboratory abnormalities were low and similar between *** groups had similar small numerical declines from baseline in estimated glomerular filtration rate at year 5(week 240,-2.85 mL/min vs.-3.29 mL/min,p=0.910).The greater declines in renal and bone parameters in the TDF-TAF group through week 144 improved after switching to ***:The 5-year TAF treatment efficacy was high and similar to that of 3-year TDF followed by 2-year TAF in Chinese chronic hepatitis b *** effects on bone and renal parameters were sustained with TAF treatment alone and were observed following the switch from TDF to TAF.

Robotic pancreatic surgery: a slowly developing field

Robotic surgery has undergone rapid development over the last several decades and minimally invasive surgery has become the standard of care for many surgical *** adoption within the world of hepatobiliary and pancreas surgery has been tempered by the complexity of the *** reports showcased the feasibility of distal pancreatectomy and pancreaticoduodenectomy in a minimally invasive fashion and where followed by case series demonstrating its safety and efficacy(1,2).This has since been confirmed with large matched cohorts confirming at a minimum oncologic equivalence between minimally invasive pancreatic resections as compared to open procedures(3).Given the complexity of pancreatic surgery and the inherent limitations of laparoscopic surgery the robotic surgical platform has seen an exponential rise in attention with its role in minimally invasive pancreatic *** this interest there have been two consensus guidelines published on minimally invasive pancreatic surgery demonstrating its growth within the field(4,5).

Evaluation of method performance involves the consideration of numerous factors that can contribute to error.A variety of measures of performance can be borrowed from the signal detection literature and others are drawn from statistical *** article demonstrates the principles of performance evaluation by applying multiple measures to osteometric sorting models for paired elements run against data from known *** indicate that false positive rates are close,on average,to expected *** assemblage size grows,the false positive rate becomes unimportant and the false negative rate becomes *** disparity among the commingled individuals plays a significant role in method performance,showing that case-specific circumstances(*** size and size disparity)will determine method power.

[目的]建立高效液相色谱-紫外检测器(HPLC-UV)法测定银杏内酯A、b、C的浓度,并对其进行方法学验证。[方法]考察了包括检测波长、8种不同的流动相体系及其比例、进样量、流速和柱温。方法验证涵盖了专属性、精密度、准确度、线性范围、重复性、系统适用性、加样回收率和稳定性。[结果]色谱柱为Agilent TC-5 C_(18),检测波长为220 nm,流动相为水-甲醇(70∶30),进样量为20μL,柱温30℃,流速为1.0 mL/min且线性关系良好,色谱峰之间无互相干扰。[结论]该方法准确、有效,经济且易得,操作简单,为其他银杏内酯药物含量测定提供了可靠的参考。

An imputation/copula-based stochastic individual tree growth model for mixed species Acadian forests： a case study using the Nova Scotia permanent sample plot network

background： A novel approach to modelling individual tree growth dynamics is proposed. The approach combines multiple imputation and copula sampling to produce a stochastic individual tree growth and yield projection system. Methods： The Nova Scotia, Canada permanent sample plot network is used as a case study to develop and test the modelling approach. Predictions from this model are compared to predictions from the Acadian variant of the Forest Vegetation Simulator, a widely used statistical individual tree growth and yield model. Results： Diameter and height growth rates were predicted with error rates consistent with those produced using statistical models. Mortality and ingrowth error rates were higher than those observed for diameter and height, but also were within the bounds produced by traditional approaches for predicting these rates. Ingrowth species composition was very poorly predicted. The model was capable of reproducing a wide range of stand dynamic trajectories and in some cases reproduced trajectories that the statistical model was incapable of reproducing. Conclusions： The model has potential to be used as a benchmarking tool for evaluating statistical and process models and may provide a mechanism to separate signal from noise and improve our ability to analyze and learn from large regional datasets that often have underlying flaws in sample design.
