Sequence-based molecular phytogenies have provided new models of earlyeu-karyotic evolution. This includes the widely accepted hypothesis that animals are related mostclosely to fungi, and that the two should be grouped together as the Opisthokonta. Although mostpublished phylogenies have supported an opisthokont relationship, a number of genes contain atree-building signal that clusters animal and green plant sequences, to the exclusion of fungi. Thealternative tree-building signal is especially intriguing in light of emerging data from genomic andproteomic studies that indicate striking and potentially synapomor-phic similarities between plantsand animals. This paper reviews these new lines of evidence, which have yet to be incorporated intomodels of broad scale eukaryotic evolution.

with increasing global demand for energy,the importance of unconventional shale oil and gas research cannot be *** oil and gas industry requires rapid and reliable means of forecasting *** traditional decline curve analysis(DCA)methods have been limited in their ability to satisfactorily forecast production from unconventional liquid-rich shale(LRS)*** is due to several causes ranging from the complicated production mechanisms to the ultra-low permeability in *** use of hybrid(combination)DCA models can improve ***,complexities associated with these techniques can still make their application quite tedious without proper diagnostic plots,correct use of model parameters and some knowledge of the production mechanisms *** work,therefore,presents a new statistical data-driven approach of forecasting production from LRS reservoirs called the Principal Components Methodology(PCM).PCM is a technique that bypasses a lot of the difficulties associated with existing methods of forecasting and forecasts production with reasonable *** is a data-driven method of forecasting based on the statistical technique of principal components analysis(PCA).In our study,we simulated production of fluids with different compositions for 30 years with the aid of a commercial compositional *** then applied the Principal Components Methodology(PCM)to the production data from several representative wells by using Singular Value Decomposition(SVD)to calculate the principal *** principal components were then used to forecast oil production from wells with production histories ranging from 0.5 to 3 years,and the results were compared to simulated *** of the PCM to field data is also included in this work.

In recent years,it has come a long way in the diagnosis,treatment,and follow-up of prostate *** this,it was argued that definitive treatments could cause overtreatment,particularly in the very low,low,and favorable risk *** alternative treatment and follow-up methods are being considered for this group of patients,active surveillance is seen as a good alternative for patients with very low and low-risk groups in this ***,it has become necessary to find other alternatives for patients in the favorable risk group or patients who cannot adopt active *** the light of technological developments,the concept of focal therapy was introduced with the intensification of research to treat only the lesioned area instead of treating the entire organ for prostate lesions though there are not many publications about many of them *** to the initial results,it was understood that the results could be good if the appropriate focal therapy technique was applied to the appropriate ***,focal therapies have begun to find their"middle ground"place between definitive therapies and active follow-up.

The accurate determination of soybean pubescence is essential for plant breeding programs and cultivar ***,soybean pubescence is classified visually,which is a labor-intensive and time-consuming ***,the three classes of phenotypes(tawny,light tawny,and gray)may be difficult to visually distinguish,especially the light tawny class where misclassification with tawny frequently *** objectives of this study were to solve both the throughput and accuracy issues in the plant breeding workflow,develop a set of indices for distinguishing pubescence classes,and test a machine learning(ML)classification approach.A principal component analysis(PCA)on hyperspectral soybean plot data identified clusters related to pubescence classes,while a Jeffries-Matusita distance analysis indicated that all bands were important for pubescence class *** images from 2018,2019,and 2020 were analyzed in this study.A 60-plot test(2019)of genotypes with known pubescence was used as reference data,while whole-field images from 2018,2019,and 2020 were used to examine the broad applicability of the classification *** indices,a red/blue ratio and blue normalized difference vegetation index(blue NDVI),were effective at differentiating tawny and gray pubescence types in high-resolution imagery.A ML approach using a support vector machine(SVM)radial basis function(RBF)classifier was able to differentiate the gray and tawny types(83.1%accuracy and kappa=0:740 on a pixel basis)on images where reference training data was *** tested indices and ML model did not generalize across years to imagery that did not contain the reference training panel,indicating limitations of using aerial imagery for pubescence classification in some environmental ***-throughput classification of gray and tawny pubescence types is possible using aerial imagery,but light tawny soybeans remain difficult to classify and may require training da

Recently,McDonald et al.(2020)proposed that complement causes a metabolic switch to lipid consumption in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS),which raises the possibility of complement as a global immunometabolic *** ALS,neuromuscular degeneration occurs concurrently with complement-mediated inflammation,glucose intolerance,and elevated lipid ***,complement is being increasingly recognized as a metabolic regulator that can induce insulin resistance and alter fuel source ***,the authors propose that chronic complement activation may be driving metabolic reprogramming in ALS,which has broad implications for the field of immunometabolism and would be the first mechanistic explanation of the“lipid switch”in ***,it suggests that complement can drive a global shift in resources during inflammation,in which glucose is redirected from peripheral tissues to immune cells to support their inflammatory actions.

Four rice samples of long grain type were tested using an electronic nose (Cyranose-320).Samples of 5 g of each variety of rice were placed individually in vials and were analyzed with the electronic nose unit consisting of 32 polymer *** Cyranose-320 was able to differentiate between varieties of *** chemical composition of the rice odors for differentiating rice samples needs to be *** optimum parameter settings should be considered during the Cyranose-320 training process especially for multiple samples,which are helpful for obtaining an accurate training model to improve identification ***,it is necessary to investigate the E-nose sensor selection for obtaining better classification accuracy.A re- duced number of sensors could potentially shorten the data processing time,and could be used to establish an application pro- cedure and reduce the cost for a specific electronic *** research is needed for developing analytical procedures that adapt the Cyranose-320 as a tool for testing rice quality.

The sea-ice concentration in the Northern Hemisphere, 500 hPa height, sea-level pressure and 1000-500 hPa thickness of monthly mean data are examined for the period 1953-1989, with emphasis on the winter *** between large-scale patterns of atmospheric variability and sea-ice variability are investigated, making use of the correlation method. The analysis is conducted for the Atlantic sectors. In agreement with earlier studies based upon monthly mean data on sea-ice concentration, the strongest sea-ice pattern is composed of a dipole with opposing centers of action in the Davis Straits / Labrador Sea region and the Greenland and Barents Seas. Its temporal variability is strongly coupled to the atmospheric North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO). The relationship between the two patterns is strongest with the atmosphere leading the ocean. The polarity of the NAO is associated with Greenland blocking episodes, during which the influence of the atmosphere is strong enough to temporarily halt the climatological mean advance of the ice edge in some regions and substantially accelerate it in *** relationships between the fields are indicative of local forcing of sea-ice in most regions, with wind stress and thermodynamic fluxes at the air-sea interface both contributing.
