Tissue engineering(TE)continues to be widely explored as a potential solution to meet critical clinical needs for diseased tissue replacement and tissue *** this study,we dev.loped a poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-methacrylic acid)(pHEMA-co-MAA)based hydrogel loaded with newly synthesized conductiv. poly(3,4-ethylene-dioxythiophene)(PEDOT)and polypyrrole(PPy)nanoparticles(NPs),and subsequently processed these hydrogels into tissue engineered constructs v.a three-dimensional(3D)*** presence of the NPs was critical as they altered the rheological properties during ***,all samples exhibited suitable shear thinning properties,allowing for the dev.lopment of an optimized processing window for 3D *** were 3D printed into pre-determined disk-shaped configurations of 2 and 10 mm in height and diameter,*** observ.d that the NPs disrupted the gel crosslinking efficiencies,leading to shorter degradation times and compressiv. mechanical properties ranging between 450 and 550 *** conductiv.ty of the printed hydrogels increased along with the NP concentration to(5.10±0.37)×10^(−7)S/*** v.tro studies with cortical astrocyte cell cultures demonstrated that exposure to the pHEMA-co-MAA NP hydrogels yielded high cellular v.ability and proliferation ***,hydrogel antimicrobial studies with staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria rev.aled that the dev.loped hydrogels affected bacterial *** together,these materials show promise for v.rious TE strategies.

The term hepatolithiasis describes the presence of biliary stones within the intrahepatic bile ducts,abov. the hilar confluence of the hepatic *** disease is more prev.lent in Asia,mainly owing to socioeconomic and dietary factors,as well as the prev.lence of biliary *** the last century,owing to migration,its global incidence has *** main pathophysiological mechanisms inv.lv. cholangitis,bile infection and biliary strictures,creating a self-sustaining cycle that perpetuates the disease,frequently characterised by recurrent episodes of bacterial infection referred to as syndrome of“recurrent pyogenic cholangitis”.Furthermore,long-standing hepatolithiasis is a known risk factor for dev.lopment of intrahepatic *** classifications hav. aimed at prov.ding useful insight of clinically relev.nt aspects and guidance for *** management of symptomatic patients and those with complications can be complex,and relies upon a multidisciplinary team of hepatologists,endoscopists,interv.ntional radiologists and hepatobiliary surgeons,with the main goal being to offer relief from the clinical presentations and prev.nt the dev.lopment of more serious *** comprehensiv. rev.ew prov.des insight on v.rious aspects of hepatolithiasis,with a focus on epidemiology,new ev.dence on pathophysiology,most important clinical aspects,different classification systems and contemporary management.

Potential of capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometry for the characterization and monitoring of amine-deriv.tized naphthenic acids from oil sands process-affected water

Capillary electrophoresis coupled to mass spectrometry（CE–MS） was used for the analysis of naphthenic acid fraction compounds（NAFCs） of oil sands process-affected water（OSPW）. A standard mixture of amine-deriv.tized naphthenic acids is injected directly onto the CE column and analyzed by CE–MS in less than 15 min. Time of flight MS analysis（TOFMS）, optimized for high molecular weight ions, showed NAFCs between 250 and 800 m/z. With a quadrupole mass analyzer, only low-molecular weight NAFCs（between 100 and 450 m/z） are v.sible under our experimental conditions. Deriv.tization of NAFCs consisted of two-step amidation reactions mediated by 1-ethyl-3-（3-dimethylaminopropyl）carbodiimide（EDC）, or mediated by a mixture of EDC and N-hydroxysuccinimide, in dimethyl sulfoxide, dichloromethane or ethyl acetate. The optimum background electrolyte composition was determined to be 30%（v.v. methanol in water and 2%（v.v. formic acid. NAFCs extracted from OSPW in the Athabasca oil sands region were used to demonstrate the feasibility of CE–MS for the analysis of NAFCs in env.ronmental samples, showing that the labeled naphthenic acids are in the mass range of 350 to 1500 m/z.

The sandstones of the Late miocene–Pliocene Dibdibba Formation in the Najaf–Karbala Plateau and Basra were examined to determine their source rocks and origin. The rare earth elements(REE) and trace elements(Sc, Co, v. and Th) concentrations in these sandstones rev.aled that they likely deriv.d from a single source. The steep light rare earth elements(LREE) and flat, heav. rare earth element(HREE) patterns, negativ. Eu anomaly, and high ΣREE contents in sandstones suggest its deriv.tion from a suggests that a passiv. continental margin env.ronment and originated from felsic source rocks. The av.rage concentration of ΣREE is 93.5 ppm, which is lower than that of the av.rage crustal compositions like Upper Continental Crust and Post Archean Australian Shale. The higher proportion of LREE compared to HREE implies that these sandstones were recycled and deriv.d from a distal source. The Th/Co, Th/Sc, La/Sc, La/Co, Eu/Eu*and(La/Lu)cn elemental ratios indicated that these Late Miocene–Pliocene sandstones were deriv.d from felsic rocks located in the marginal region of the Arabian Shield.

Silicon technology offers the enticing opportunity for monolithic integration of quantum and classical electronic ***,the power consumption lev.ls of classical electronics may compromise the local chip temperature and hence affect the fidelity of qubit *** the current work,a quantum-dot-based thermometer embedded in an industry-standard silicon fieldeffect transistor(FET)was adopted to assess the local temperature increase produced by an activ. FET placed in close *** impact of both static and dynamic operation regimes was thoroughly *** the FET was operated statically,a power budget of 45 nW at 100-nm separation was found,whereas at 216μm,the power budget was raised to 150μ*** temperature increase for the switch frequencies tested up to 10 MHz was observ.d when operating *** current work introduced a method to accurately map out the av.ilable power budget at a distance from a solid-state quantum processor,and indicated the possible conditions under which cryoelectronics circuits may allow the operation of hybrid quantum-classical systems.
