Photogenerated charge separation and transfer is one of the bottleneck steps in photocatalysis,and efficient charge separation strategies are strongly ***,mimicking the electron transport chain in natural photosynthesis,we report the design and fabrication of a charge transfer chain using bismuth-based semiconductor as a *** view of the thermodynamic energy band positions and structural similarity based on the density functional theory(DFT)analysis,heterostructured combination ofα-Bi_(2)O_(3),perovskite-like Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12),and sillenite Bi12TiO20 was designed for fabrication of charge transfer *** tuning the molar ratio of Bi and Ti precursors,the Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12)and Bi12TiO20 particles were formed on the surface ofα-Bi_(2)O_(3)by an insitu transformation process,giving rise to Bi_(12)TiO_(20)-Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12)/α-Bi_(2)O_(3)composites with charge transfer *** propose that the effective charge transfer is accomplished amongα-Bi_(2)O_(3),Bi12TiO20,and Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12),which significantly improves the photogenerated charge separation and transfer,as indicated by photoluminescene,time-resolved photoluminescene,and electrochemical impedance spectra *** expected,the Bi_(12)TiO_(20)-Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12)/α-Bi_(2)O_(3)shows the superior photocatalytic activity for the degradation of environmental pollutants with high *** for the refractory pollutants like 4-chlorophenol,the optimal Bi_(12)TiO_(20)-Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12)/α-Bi_(2)O_(3)composite shows 28 times higher than that ofα-Bi_(2)O_(3)for photocatalytic degradation,verifying the superiority of photogenerated charge transfer chain in *** work demonstrates the feasibility of the charge transfer chain strategy to boost the photogenerated charge separation,which is of great significance for designing energy and environmental-related materials in heterogonous photocatalysis.

Background: Within the framework of close-to-nature forestry, oak forest(Quercus robur, Q. petraea) regeneration techniques that consider both silvicultural and nature conservation demands have become a very important *** there are many experimental and local studies that aim at disentangling the relationships between different environmental and silvicultural factors and the success of oak regeneration, systematic supra-regional studies at the greater landscape level are missing so *** this background, the first objective(a) of this study was to present an efficient and sufficiently accurate sampling scheme for supra-regional forest regrowth inventories, which we applied to young oaks stands. The second, and major, objective(b) was to identify the crucial success factors for high-quality oak forest regeneration in northwest ***: Objective(a): Factors that have been identified as potentially crucial for the success or failure of oak regeneration were either included in a field inventory procedure or extracted from forest inventory databases. We found that the collected data were suitable to be analyzed in a three-step success model, which was aimed at identifying the crucial success factors for high-quality oak forest ***(b): Our modeling procedure, which included a Bayesian estimation approach with spike-and-slab priors,revealed that competitive pressure from the secondary tree species was the most decisive success factor;no competition, or low competition by secondary tree species appeared to be particularly beneficial for the success of high-quality oak regeneration. 患者女,80岁,因反复胸闷由外院转入Germany Heart Center Munchen。体格检查:慢性病容,半卧位呼吸,颈静脉轻度怒张,双肺少量湿罗音,心房颤动,主动脉瓣听诊区可闻及3/6级收缩期杂音及轻度舒张期杂音,二尖瓣听诊区可闻及重度舒张期隆隆样杂音。肝肿大,剑突下5 cm,肋下3 cm,双下肢轻度凹陷性水肿。既往史:右侧乳腺癌术后多年,2008年于外院行冠状动脉搭桥术,2013年于外院行经心尖主动脉瓣植入术。心电图提示:慢室率心房颤动;胸部X线检查提示全心扩大,心脏瓣膜钙化严重。门诊以"多瓣膜病变、心功能不全"收入院。入院后实验室检查提示脑利钠肽(BNP)10800 ng/L,肾小球滤过率14 ml/min,促甲状腺素2.8 MU/L,血红蛋白98 g/L。经胸超声心动图提示冠状动脉搭桥术后、主动脉瓣植入术后:主动脉瓣生物瓣损毁,主动脉瓣重度狭窄伴轻度关闭不全,二尖瓣瓣环重度钙化,二尖瓣重度狭窄伴轻度关闭不全,三尖瓣轻度关闭不全,左心室收缩功能正常。多普勒测值提示主动脉瓣有效瓣口面积0.5 cm^2,跨瓣峰值压差56 mmHg(1 mmHg=0.133 kPa),跨瓣平均压差32 mmHg;二尖瓣瓣口面积0.8 cm^2,跨瓣峰值压差28 mmHg;肺动脉压60 mmHg,左室射血分数63%。全动脉CT造影提示全动脉钙化,二尖瓣瓣环钙化,左、右股动脉硬化、迂曲,内径约9 mm。冠状动脉造影提示血管桥通畅。患者在入院第2 d在杂交手术室内行"经皮二尖瓣植入术并Valve-in-valve主动脉瓣植入术"。

Currently,lymph node metastases(LNM)are seen as the gateway to distant metastases in CRC and play a crucial role in the Tumor Node Metastasis(TNM)staging system[1,2].Tumor deposits(TD)have been identified as another histological feature with a strong prognostic impact but are currently only deemed clinically relevant in the absence of LNM[2,3].TD are clusters of tumor cells in the fat surrounding the bowel and are often associated with nerves,vessels and lymphatic tissue,giving the cancer cells access to multiple routes of spread[4].

Pasteurella multocida hyaluronan synthase (PmHAS) is a bi-functional glycosyltransferase, containing a β1,3-glucuronyltransferase and β1,4-N-acetylglucosaminetransferase domain. PmHAS catalyzes the elongation of hyaluronan (HA) through the sequential addition of single monosaccharides to the non-reducing end of the hyaluronan chain. Research is focused on the relation between the length of the HA oligosaccharide and the single-step elongation kinetics from HA4 up to HA9. It was found that the turnover number kcat increased with length to maximum values of 11 and 14 s-1 for NAc- and UA-transfer, respectively. Interestingly, the specificity constant kcat/KM increased with polymer length from HA5 to HA7 to a value of 44 mM-1s-1, indicating an oligosaccharide binding site with increasing specificity towards a heptasaccharide at the UA domain. The value of kcat/KM remained moderately constant around 8 mM-1s-1 for HA4, HA6, and HA8, indicating a binding site with significantly lower binding specificity at the NAc domain than at the UA domain. These findings are further corroborated by a structural homology model of PmHAS, revealing two distinct sites for binding of oligosaccharides of different sizes, one in each transferase domain. Structural alignment studies between PmHAS and glycosyltransferases of the GT-A fold showed significant similarity in the binding of the UDP-sugars and the orientation of the acceptor substrate. These similarities in substrate orientation in the active site and in essential amino acid residues involved in substrate binding were utilized to localize the two HA oligosaccharide binding sites.
