松辽盆地的西缘边界断裂带,又称嫩江-八里罕断裂带,位于东北地区中部,大兴安岭的东缘,传统认识上认为其为一条NNE向的大型正断层或拆离断层.通过对断裂带中南段楼子店,岭下地区韧性变形岩石构造要素系统测量和统计,显微构造观察,有限应变测量,石英组构EBSD（电子背散射衍射）分析和变形带白云母40Ar/39Ar年代学等方面的对比研究,证实断裂带南段楼子店地区与中段岭下地区变形岩石具有相同的变形组构特征,应为同一断裂带同期变形的产物,初步确定了松辽盆地西缘边界断裂带中南段在早白垩世早期（~130 Ma）曾经历左行走滑变形阶段;通过对断裂带两侧西拉木伦河缝合带和倭勒根岩群展布的研究,确定嫩江-八里罕断裂带的现今累计走滑位移量在40~50 km之间.

In this paper,we address the problem that standard stochastic Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert(sLLG)simulations typically produce results that show unphysical mesh-size *** root cause of this problem is that the effects of spin-wave fluctuations are ignored in *** propose to represent the effect of these fluctuations by a full-spin-wave-scaled stochastic LLG,or FUSSS LLG *** FUSSS LLG,the intrinsic parameters of the sLLG simulations are first scaled by scaling factors that integrate out the spin-wave fluctuations up to the mesh size,and the sLLG simulation is then performed with these scaled *** developed FUSSS LLG by studying the Ferromagnetic Resonance(FMR)in Nd_(2)Fe_(14)B *** nominal scaling greatly reduced the mesh size dependence relative to *** then performed three tests and validations of our FUSSS LLG with this modified scaling.(1)We studied the same FMR but with magnetostatic fields included.(2)We simulated the total magnetization of the Nd_(2)Fe_(14)B cube.(3)We studied the effective,temperature-and sweeping rate-dependent coercive field of the *** all three cases,we found that FUSSS LLG delivered essentially mesh-size-independent results,which tracked the theoretical expectations better than unscaled *** by these successful validations,we propose that FUSSS LLG provides marked,qualitative progress towards accurate,high precision modeling of micromagnetics in hard,permanent magnets.

A Genome Wide Association Study for Longevity in Cattle

Longevity is regarded as the most important functional trait in cattle breeding with high economic value yet low heritability. In order to identify genomic regions associated with longevity, a genome wise association study was performed using data from 4887 Fleckvieh bulls and 33,556 SNps after quality control. Single SNp regression was used for identification of important SNps including eigenvectors as a means of correction for population structure. SNps selected with a false discovery rate threshold of 0.05 and with local false discovery rate identified genomic regions associated with longevity which were subsequently cross checked with the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database. This, to identify interesting genes in cattle and their homologue forms in other species. The most notable genes were SYT10 located on chromosome 5, ADAMTS3 on chromosome 6, NTRK2 on chromosome 8 and SNTG1 on chromosome 14 of the cattle genome. Several of the genes found have previously been associated with cattle fertility. poor fertility is an important culling reason and thereby affects longevity in cattle. Several signals were located in regions sparse with described genes, which suggest that there might be several other non-identified genetic pathways for this important trait.

It was estimated that every year more than 30000 persons in the United States- approximately 80 people per day- are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes(T1D). T1 D is caused by autoimmune destruction of the pancreatic islet(β cells) cells. Islet transplantation has become a promising therapy option for T1 D patients, while the lack of suitable tools is difficult to directly evaluate of the viability of the grafted islet over time. positron emission tomography(pET) as an important non-invasive methodology providing high sensitivity and good resolution, is able to accurate detection of the disturbed biochemical processes and physiological abnormality in living organism. The successful pET imaging of islets would be able to localize the specific site where transplanted islets engraft in the liver, and to quantify the level of islets remain alive and functional over time. This information would be vital to establishing and evaluating the efficiency of pancreatic islet transplantation. Many novel imaging agents have been developed to improve the sensitivity and specificity of pET islet imaging. In this article, we summarize the latest developments in carbon-11, fluorine-18, copper-64, and gallium-68 labeled radioligands for the pET imaging of pancreatic islet cells.

Noninvasive and ultra-accurate optical manipulation of nanometer objects has recently gained interest as a powerful tool in nanotechnology and ***-induced back-action(SIBA)trapping in nano-optical cavities has the unique potential for trapping and manipulating nanometer-sized objects under low optical ***,thus far,the existence of the SIBA effect has been shown only indirectly via its enhanced trapping *** this article,we present the first time direct experimental evidence of the self-reconfiguration of the optical potential that is experienced by a nanoparticle trapped in a plasmonic *** observations enable us to gain further understanding of the SIBA mechanism and to determine the optimal conditions for boosting the performances of SIBA-based nano-optical tweezers.

Outcome of Anastomotic Leakage after Colorectal Surgery in patients with or without preoperative Mechanical Bowel Irrigation: An Observational Study

Background: Randomized controlled trials have demonstrated that the rate of anastomotic leakage after laparoscopic colorectal surgery does not differ between patients with or without preoperative bowel preparation. There is, however, still an ongoing discussion that infectious complications consequential to anastomotic leakage, in particular sepsis, are more severe in patients without preoperative bowel cleaning. The aim of this study is to evaluate the assumption that postoperative sepsis in patients undergoing colorectal surgery without mechanical preoperative bowel irrigation is more severe compared to patients with bowel preparation. Methods: In the surgical unit in a teaching hospital in Zurich pa- tients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal surgery were consecutively included in the study. 367 patients with colorectal surgery between December 2000 and April 2004 underwent preoperative mechanical bowel irrigation. From May 2004 until April 2008 colorectal surgery was performed in 367 patients without bowel irrigation. Outcomes of interest are: Severity of sepsis in patients with postoperative anastomotic leakage, assessed by the necessity of referral to ICU, length of stay in the ICU and total length of hospital stay. Results: 734 patients were included in the study, 367 patients with and 367 without preoperative bowel preparation. In 43 patients an anastomotic insufficiency was diagnosed, 26 in the group with and in 17 patients without preoperative irrigation. 14 of these cases developed sepsis and were referred to ICU, 8 (31%) in the group with and 6 (35%) in the group without preparative irrigation. Between the two groups there were no significant differences in mortality, length of stay on ICU and total length of hospital stay. Conclusions: The results of our study provide no indication that the course of sepsis, associated with anastomotic leakage after laparoscopic colorectal surgery, is more severe in patients without preoperative bowel preparation, compar

In this study, an occupancy factor model was developed and used to calculate the average time spent for outdoor and indoor activities along the coastline of the Erongo region of Namibia. A closed ended questionnaire was developed and administered to 800 respondents who visited the coastline for leisure, occupational and other activities. The mean time allocated for leisure activities ranges from 13.00 to 1.00 h, occupational mean time between 10.18 to 9.06 h and the values of other activities range from 16.66 to 11.00 h. The average computed time spent outdoor was found to be 11.46 h and indoor calculated to be 12.54 h. This shows an outdoor factor of 0.48 and indoor factor of 0.52 respectively. From the results obtained, the value of the absorbed dose rate ranged from 93.27 to 105.95 nGy·hp>ǃp> and the annual effective dose rate ranged from 121.01 to 176.61 μSv·yp>ǃp> (UNSCEAR factor) and 292.60 to 413.63 μSv·yp>ǃp> (present factor). The values obtained for annual effective dose are higher than the acceptable limit. However, from this study, we can conclude that the use of the UNSCEAR outdoor factor in the coastline will lead to underestimation of effective dose by 24% based on the present factor.

The superτ-charm facility(STCF)is an electron–positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics *** is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of 0.5×10^(35) cm^(–2)·s^(–1) or *** STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that of the presentτ-charm factory—the BEpCII,providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter(charge-parity violation),in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions,as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard *** STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R&D *** document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF,describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system,and discusses future plans for detector R&D and physics case studies.
