Low-complexity online correction and calibration of pedestrian dead reckoning using map matching and GpS

Dead Reckoning is a relative positioning scheme that is used to infer the change of position relative to a point of origin by measuring the traveled distance and orientation *** Dead Reckoning(pDR)applies this concept to walking *** method can be used to track someone's movement in a building after a known landmark like the building's entrance is ***,the movement of a foot and the corresponding direction change is measured and summed up,to infer the current *** and integrating the corresponding physical parameters,*** inertial sensors,introduces small errors that accumulate quickly into large distance *** of a buildings geography may reduce these errors as it can be used to keep the estimated position from moving through walls and onto likely *** this paper,we use building maps to improve localization based on a single foot-mounted inertial *** describe our localization method using zero velocity updates to accurately compute the length of individual steps and a Madgwick filter to determine the step *** though the computation of individual steps is quite accurate,small errors still accumulate in the long *** show how correction algorithms using likely and unlikely paths can rectify errors intrinsic to pedestrian dead reckoning tasks,such as orientation and displacement drift,and discuss restrictions and disadvantages of these *** also present a method of deriving the initial position and orientation from GpS *** verify our pDR correction methods analyzing the corrected and raw trajectories of six participants walking four routes of varying length and complexity through an office building,walking each route three *** quantitative results show an endpoint accuracy improvement of up to 60%when using likely paths and 23%when using unlikely ***,both approaches can also decrease accuracy in certain *** identify those scenarios and

BACKGROUND pancreaticoduodenectomy(pD)is a technically complex operation,with a re-latively high risk for *** ability to rescue patients from post-pD complications is as a recognized quality *** protocols were instituted at our low volume facility in the year *** To document the rate of rescue from post-pD complications with tailored protocols in place as a measure of *** A retrospective audit was performed to collect data from patients who experienced major post-pD complications at a low volume pancreatic surgery unit in Trinidad and Tobago between January 1,2013 and June 30,***-dardized definitions from the International Study Group of pancreatic Surgery were used to define post-pD complications,and the modified Clavien-Dindo classification was used to classify post-pD *** Over the study period,113 patients at a mean age of 57.5 years(standard deviation[SD]±9.23;range:30-90;median:56)underwent pDs at this *** complications were recorded in 33(29.2%)patients at a mean age of 53.8 years(SD:±7.9).Twenty-nine(87.9%)patients who experienced major morbidity were salvaged after aggre-ssive treatment of their ***(3.5%)died from bleeding pseudoaneurysm(1),septic shock secondary to a bile leak(1),anastomotic leak(1),and myocardial infarction(1).There was a significantly greater salvage rate in patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists scores≤2(93.3%vs 25%;p=0.0024).CONCLUSION This paper adds to the growing body of evidence that volume alone should not be used as a marker of quality for patients requiring *** low volumes at our facility,we demonstrated that 87.9%of patients were rescued from major *** attributed this to several factors including development of rescue protocols,the competence of the pancreatic surgery teams and continuous,and adaptive learning by the entire institution,cul-minating in the development of tailored peri-pancreatectomy protoc

General Solutions of First-Order Algebraic ODEs in Simple Constant Extensions

If a first-order algebraic ODE is defined over a certain differential field,then the most elementary solution class,in which one can hope to find a general solution,is given by the adjunction of a single arbitrary constant to this *** of this type give rise to a particular kind of generic point—a rational parametrization—of an algebraic curve which is associated in a natural way to the ODE’s defining *** for the opposite direction,we show that a suitable rational parametrization of the associated curve can be extended to a general solution of the ODE if and only if one can find a certain automorphism of the solution *** automorphisms are determined by linear rational functions,i.e.,Möbius *** properties of rational parametrizations,in combination with the particular shape of such automorphisms,lead to a number of necessary conditions on the existence of general solutions in this solution ***,the desired linear rational function can be determined by solving a comparatively simple differential system over the ODE’s field of *** results hold for arbitrary differential fields of characteristic zero.

为解决超细粉掺合料在混凝土应用中出现的黏度大、流速时间长、易抓底、收缩大的问题,通过合成原料的选择以及调整合成工艺,合成了超细掺合料专用聚羧酸减水剂ZS-CX。结果表明,采用EpEG单体、合成起始温度15℃、滴加反应时间60 min,MAp用量为单体质量的0.6%时,制备的减水剂性能最佳。与市售减水剂相比,净浆流动度、混凝土坍落度和扩展度增大,倒筒排空时间更短,达到5 s,Zeta电位绝对值大,而且混凝土60 d电通量小于1000 C、收缩率降低30%以上。

Liver transplantation remains the treatment of choice for patients with end-stage liver *** the increasing demand for liver transplantation,the spectrum of potential grafts has been widened and includes now not only regular grafts from donation after brain death(DBD)but also organs from donation after cardiac death(DCD),split liver and living donor grafts,as well as so-called“marginal grafts”from donors with extended criteria such as significant steatosis hepatis or older age(1).These grafts are associated with higher rates of early allograft dysfunction and primary non-function-which stresses the healthcare system with increased length of hospital stay for patients and higher costs(2,3).Moreover,marginal grafts are at risk for biliary complications such as anastomotic and non-anastomotic strictures as well as biliary leakages,which is caused by more severe ischemia reperfusion injury and in consequence reduced micro perfusion of the biliary tract(4).
